The story gives an idea of what it would have been like for the Egyptians outside of Pharaoh’s court that experienced Moses’ plagues. This was a very interesting perspective.
Very good read! The characters were easy to keep track of, and great storyline. Even learned some history and things from the Bible.
Highly recommended
After the beginning it seemed I was rereading one that I had red it years past, yet it also seemed there was a new thread. I enjoyed the book very much.
Loved the book. A refreshing take on the Exodus of the Jews from Egypt.
Can’t wait to read more from this author! Great book and believable characters.
I liked the story, but it seemed like the author took modern day characters and plunked them down into ancient times.
I just loved this book.. When I finished reading it, it stayed with me. I think some of the new thoughts I have will remain with me forever. It was interesting and suspenseful.
Enjoyed reading the way it could have been.
Thought provoking. I hadn’t looked at the Exodus from the perspective of the people and didn’t realize that others (not just Hebrews) were part of the story.
I love this story from the Old Testament as a realistic telling by an Egyptian young woman who is forced to became a slave and to labor with the Hebrews. The reader is in the throes of the life as a slave in Egypt and sees the power of God as He delivers the Israelites and teaches an Egyptian woman that He is the one true God!
Loved every page, hung on every word. Learned a lot through a great work of fiction!!
This book was hard to put down.
The writing was wonderful and very enlightening.
I enjoy ready fiction that has a lot of Bible based information. It provides an insight to how things might have been in the beginning.
A Great Bible story made into a wonderful fiction book!
First time I really understood the plagues sent by God when Moses was trying to get his people out of Egypt. I read the biblical account along with it and it was so true to the bible.
Great story about an Egyptian girl who finds her way to Yahweh. Insightful and thoughtful.
Loved this book and seeing Exodus and the circumstances leading up to it from an Egyptian’s (Kiya) point of view.
It was such a good book that I couldn’t put it down. I loved how it gave you the perspective of an Egyptian living in the time of Moses, the plagues and leaving Egypt. Even though it is fiction the author stayed true to what the bible said happened in those times.
A fictional account of the Biblical story of the Jewish people leaving Egypt. The characters are well drawn, the events stretch from Moses’ return to Egypt through the plagues to Passover, and into the flight from Pharoah’s army. It continues to cover the first part of the journey in the wilderness. Interesting take on the Lord’s provision for His chosen people. You’ll want to read the next book in the series as well.
