Alexis Noelle’s Corrupted stole my heart, twisted it inside out, cut it wide open and then ripped it to shreds before putting it back together. There were so many emotions that they’re impossible to describe. Kudos to her for a wonderful book.- JA Hensley, Author

I think this is the first book that has ever baffled me for how many stars it deserves. I found at many times that the story intrigued and amazed me. I felt like a sleep-deprived person being offered a caffeine fix if I kept reading it to the last page. That’s how invested I was in the story. At times though, I found the story somewhat rushed, sloppy and unrealistic. Focusing on just that, the book should be around two stars. However, the plot and the development of personalities, story and relationship could make me oversee it. Just by that I find myself rating the book at four stars. What makes me the most hesitant to higher the rating however is the biggest issue I have with this book, and that is how heavy and dark it is at the end.
I found the idea behind the story and the execution very original and unique, which I liked a lot. I loved the strong connection between the main characters and how their relationship developed over time. They had different pasts that connected them (although we never found out about Jordan’s past, which is too bad) and in a way that made their connection even stronger.
The way Lucy grew up and all the stuff she was put through really made me as the reader feel for her and invested me in the story deeply. Although her past was heavy, the present that is written in the book lighten the mood a lot as we got to see her finding herself outside her abusing family and in her new family. I however felt that all that light mood disappeared in the end of the book and it became a little too dark. I felt that the author took it way to far as Lucy already was traumatized by her past and that was enough to feel for her. Putting her through even more at the end just became too much for my liking. I also did not care for what she did to be able to get some closure. It kind of sent out the wrong message to people in similar situations.
Up until it took a dark turn though, I really enjoyed the story. There was some times that I felt that the book jumped too much in time and the writing felt a bit off, like when a dialogue suddenly changed direction completely without any forewarning or reason. However, all the good parts in the story overwrote those issues and made them disappear for me. Overall it was a really good story, if somewhat too dark. It deserves a middle ground at three stars.
I was in tears reading this book, knowing that stuff like this actually goes on I think is what made it even more realistic and horrifying! This is a great book and I’m glad I read it! Alexis Noelle did a wonderful job telling this story!
Love my MC romances
I loved the book and the motor cycle club!!
Although this was a relatively short book, it did not feel like it. I like the premise, as it was not your usual drug deal gone bad story. I liked that they did not sugar coat the real dangers that can happen and I also loved the connection and romance that flourished among the harsh backdrop of the MC. The only thing I wish they would have expanded on was his Mom and her American Pie Naiveté. Good story overall.
Loved whole series
Good book but I felt they rushed the ending
This book introduced me to the world of MCs. It was an eye opener and riveting. It also exposed some of the heinous acts that are committed in the name of religion. I’m glad that the psychological impact and effect of the cult was not downplayed or trivialised. I was pleased that the book ended on a realistic note, where the former cult member realized that she might not be able to return to life before her uncle’s final attack with the snap of a finger but healing was very much possible
The profanity was over the top for me but I suppose that’s how MCs interact.
A well written book filled with a roller coaster of raw emotions!
I was wow just wow- it made me cry. All the things that she went through and survived. What an inspiring story.
I enjoyed this book it made me fall into it and made me want another book with the same characters.
Love her books!
It reads a little slow.
Wow, I really enjoyed this story, could’nt put it down because I wanted to see what would happen next.
I really enjoyed this book, I haven’t read many books about the MC, but this one really caught my interest from the very beginning and I read it straight thru. Very good story, some sex scenes and some violence, but a true love story and a complete book, no cliffhanger! Would gladly recommend this book to my friends!
Absolutely awesome
