The son of a prominent Cosa Nostra Don, Corrado Guzzi’s life should have been all mapped out. He would be what every other Guzzi man was, too—made, mafia. It’s their way. But when given another choice, the chance to be something more, he takes it. Even if it comes with strings. It’s there that he might find where he belongs, and Alessio Sorrento. The man who could change his whole life. This love … life.
This love thing? It should have been easy, but they made it hard. Nothing about a relationship like theirs is simple. Dictated by rules, weighed down with things left unsaid, and already hanging by a frayed thread.
This is what love looks like before, and after.
Before she came along.
And after she was there.
It takes one woman to change everything.
Ginevra Calabrese wasn’t ready for this—for them.
So, what happens now?
*
NOTE: Corrado (book one) and Alessio (book two) are a duet within The Guzzi Legacy series, and should be read in order. All other titles in the series are standalone. This is NOT a love triangle.

I enjoyed this story do much I went and bought the ext in line to continue with the characters
Didn’t enjoy the relationships in this story.
Ahhhhh so good. SO GOOD!!!!! I knew it would be because it’s written by BK but ahh, so good!!
Sidenote, I’m wildly curious every time there’s a mention of Dare and Cree!
Wow! What another amazing read by Bethany Kris! I just love this author and everything she writes. The story drew me right in from the very first pages and once I started reading it I could not put it down. The story was gripping and suspenseful and had a great cast of characters that you could not help but love them. This author impresses me each and every time I start reading a book by her, she just draws you right in and grabs your attention right from the very first pages to the very end.
I loved Alessio and Corrado story their love story was intense and filled with tons of chemistry and a lot of hotness. I just loved them both. The story was also an emotional one and one with a lot of ups and downs and I have to say that toward the very end I even teared up and my heart broke for Alessio and what he was going through.
Overall simply an amazing story that we did not want to see the end and I think we will be hearing from these characters very soon as they have a lot of unfinished business. An engrossing tale from beginning to end and you just got to love these mafia families they’re dangerous and deadly but, one thing is for certain is that they just love their kids right down to their very bones.
Recommended to all
If you were different than others, that could make your life less easy than other’s. For example if you were a mafia “prince”. Especially if you didn’t let your family in because for some reason you thought it would make their lives more difficult.
Corrado Guzzi never felt himself fitting in. Until he applied and completed the training program of The League, where he meets Alessio. Their relationship is an instant dislike-lust combination at first.
If I am going to be completely honest, my heart broke for Alessio…
“What’s that like?”
“Hmm, what?
“Having a mother that loves you. I wouldn’t know.”
Corrado shifted on the chair, never looking away from Alessio. “It’s…”
“Yeah?”
“Hard to describe. I love my ma.” Alessio nodded. “Wouldn’t know what that’s like, either”
They build up a relationship slowly. Seemingly works for them too.
But at the end comes Ginny and Corrado feels himself more confused like never before.
It’s NOT a love-triangle.
I loved the story and the character development.
Sweet Holy Hell
This author is one that always has me on the edge of my seat. Her stories are sublime and her characters are in a league all their own. She manages to portray a lifestyle that, even though completely foreign to me, seems like home. I can always count on her stories to evoke a maelstrom of emotions. Every new book she writes becomes my favorite. EVERY. TIME. That was most assuredly the case with this story.
I knew going into this book that it would be different because this author is known for amazing one of a kind love stories that are not MM. I still knew that I need to read this as if I need her words like air even though my preference isn’t MM (nothing against it just my personal choice). I was right to feel this way because this connection? SWEET. HOLY. LORD. Alessio and Corrado were proof that love should have no limitations. I LOVED them both. I felt the confusion that Corrado felt because he knew how it was perceived in this life. Les had his own baggage to deal with. Watching them both love unconditionally without words was both beautiful and hard because not everything is black and white, and love isn’t exclusive to only loving one gender. Insert the twist, also known as Ginny. I felt the connection here too. I liked her. Really liked her. I wanted things to be easy for all involved. Only, the thing is, love is never easy. It is messy, chaotic, and a fickle beast.
This was slow to begin but intense. I knew by the time that Ginny came into the story that there was no way that this beautiful journey of love would be completed in one book. Silly me, I just now noticed that it said Guzzi Legacy #1. That is what this author does to me. I don’t even pay attention to these things. Instead, I just go into the story blind because I know she is going to make me lose all sense of the real world as I find myself finding the comfort of home, i.e., whatever world she has created. So it ends with things very much up in the air. I am not sure where this is going to go and that is the beauty of it. Will this turn into an MMF relationship or will someone have to be given up for the other? I cannot wait to find out.
Not sure what I expected from The Guzzy Legacy series, but I am completely blown away. This author is an automatic one click for me and Corrado has just become my newest favorite. I need Alessio’s book now! Corrado has everything I expect from Bethany Kris, the drama, the suspense, the love that engulfs you from these characters. Ginny brought this explosive chemistry to total obliteration. She adds so much to this relationship. I love when I am so wrapped in a story that I forget the genders of characters and only focus on the development and feelings between them.
Corrado is the son of a mafia Don but he wants more than to be in the family. Alezzio is super hot and Corrado is instantly attracted to him. The two have so much chemistry and when Ginerva comes into the picture things get even hotter. I liked this book and these characters. A great read!
I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review.
What I love most about Corrado is that this is something that I haven’t read before from Bethany-Kris. Much to my surprise, I am floored with how much I love it! 2019 is definitely Bethany-Kris’ year! Every book release is a much-anticipated treat for book lovers like me who love to devour a good romance like nobody’s business.
I just love the conflicting emotions of these three characters. Corrado, Les, and Ginny’s relationship have redefined the status, “It’s complicated” for me. My heart really goes out to Corrado whose alternative lifestyle is frowned upon by the long-held traditions imposed by the organized crime family. His struggles to find his place in the world where he knows that big expectations are set upon him is something that is so remarkably human that I could not help but love him all the more.
Gian and Cara are undoubtedly the best parents in the world. I love their steadfast support to all their sons. Raising five boys are quite a handful but they did it without suffocating them and never dictating what they can or can’t do.
And then there’s Les. His unconditional love for Corrado is something that any man or woman would be so lucky to have. His giving nature makes him so thoughtful and understanding of the circumstances of their relationship. I just love the contrast between these two men. But surprisingly, they just fit well together.
Lastly, there’s Ginny whose arrival has shaken the foundation of Corrado and Alessio. It’s funny that when she’s fleeing from another life she didn’t want for herself, then she’ll end up finding love in the arms of Corrado. I just loved the sizzling confrontation between Ginny and Les at the end of the book.
There were so much left unsaid and so much more to unravel between these three characters. I cannot wait for Alessio to come out and see through the conclusion of this book!
WOW! I never know what kind a OMG story I’m going to get from this fabulous author with her excellent mafia stories and the outstanding characters she gives us. I have to say this one is beyond what I could imagine. This is a moody read but so good. It was a little slow at times but it fit the build of the storyline and some of the phrasing took some getting used to but fit these characters once I got the hang of it. I’m probably going to gush a lot because there are so many things I love about this story, starting with the sexual fluidity of these compelling young men. You want who you want regardless of gender. It’s about a connection and attraction not body parts. The way this author describes the difference with sexual encounters between men and women is wonderful and especially between these two brutally beautiful young men. I loved Corrado from the beginning (even though I didn’t love his namesake) but I knew his background and family from previous stories. He’s torn between his family obligations and who he is and where he fits in the Cosa Nostra lifestyle. He’s so strong and proud just like his parents. It seems like I just finished Gian and Cara’s story and now the babies are grow! I knew their boys would be spectacular with parents like them and I wasn’t wrong. I was glad to get back to the League after Renzo’s story and I love this covert group of badasses. We need a story about a female League member, please. After the first encounter between Corrado and Alessio at the League I knew this story would be special and like no other. The dynamics between these two is hard and sexy and intense. After five years together with rules in place for their relationship that protects Corrado with his la familia restrictions, a twist in the form of a beautiful woman enters the mix. Andino Marcello calls in the favor owed by Corrado and the job of hiding Ginny takes a turn when sexual attraction begins, but for Corrado it’s more than just sex…he’s intrigued with Ginny and breaks the rule of loyalty with Les by not telling him. I love that it’s not really about sex but so much more in this relationship between these two deadly men. There’s smoking hot sex between the men and woman along with the love story between two strong men and the beautiful woman caught in the middle. Ginny is terrific as the heroine running from a life she doesn’t want and a cruel family but her spunk and beauty is evident. Is she strong enough for her new situation? With Les MIA and Corrado missing him but moving forward with his interest in Ginny, the ending left me hanging to see what happens between these three gorgeous characters. I can’t wait for to find out. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Corrado Guzzi seems to march to the beat of his own drum. It’s what makes him an interesting character. His father threw me though. I was thinking one ethnic group when I saw their last name but sometimes he spoke in a language I wasn’t expecting. The lesson here is never assume anything based on someone’s last name. Or did the author do that to throw me off?
Alessio Sorrento makes no excuses as to who he is and what he likes. The way he acts, at times you won’t know if he cares or if he doesn’t. It was interesting to watch his world crash into Corrado’s and how these two go about handling the change.
The author has created some of her most complex characters to date – at least in my opinion. They live in a complicated world where everything they think they know will be challenged – as well as their physical endurance. It’s not a story to be rushed otherwise you might miss something. It’s almost like a soap opera. The difference is that there’s no way you would be able to handle reading this book one hour at a time.
These two young men seem to have a lot of anger but none of that is directed at the other – frustration maybe but not anger. The author makes the building of their relationship seem so natural. She didn’t seem to rush anything that again had me thinking soap opera. It also seems honest – realistic. All their conversations seem real. All that makes it easy to get lost into what our author has created for our entertainment.
I found it interesting in how the author created the character’s point of view. As I saw each chapter, I thought we would get the first person pov. She didn’t do that but by the way she created each chapter, it felt as if it was told in first person. Even though this is a long story by breaking it up into parts the length doesn’t bother me. She’s good at not carrying any part on too long because that might have slowed the flow down. That’s also how she introduces another important character into the mix. Plus she’s sneaky by leaving me hanging on by my fingernails as I wait for Alessio to come out.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I knew from the start that Corrado, Les and Ginny will ignite my heart and my soul with a reverent type of fiery explosive emotional passion. This is an emotional rollercoaster of a book and I can’t wait to read the rest…
This story was not what I expected. I love Bethany Kris so I knew I’d enjoy this book. Here’s the thing I went in blind I didn’t read the synopsis so Hello sexy M/M story that turns even Hotter when it becomes M/M/F. I knew this was a story whirling in the world of the Cosa Nostra and this author writes the underworld so incredibly well. I figured there would be love, but this love story was incredible. You first have Corrado and Alessio and their relationship, I love these two, really enjoyed their story. Then we meet Ginny, her and Corrado , omg. This is the first secret between Alessio and Corrado. So do you see where I’m going??? soon Ginny isn’t a secret and holy hotness these three!! So pick this book up it’s beautifully written and so darn good. I can’t wait for book 2 in the duet!!
I liked this book and it was interesting to read it,but this definitely isn’t my favorite read from this author.
The thing that i did liked very much is that this book is split in two parts. In the first part we get to see The relationship between Corrado and Alessio, how they met and how they came together. Also, probably my favorite part of the entire book:The League.I was interested in that organization since it show up in Contempt. We got to see so many things about them that I just never wanted for it to end.
The second part takes place a few years later, and that’s when Ginny comes into the picture. If you read Vow then you have already met Ginny and you are familiar with her story. Here, you get her perspective of the things and of course Corrado’s too.
I love the way this author writes, her words always pull me in and I have no problems getting into her stories or reading them. She creates great love stories with great characters. The first part of this book I like very much because of the League. In the second part I loved seeing all the Guzzie’s in one place, they are just one amazing bunch.
However I had problem going into relationships.
When Corrado and Alessio meet it’s not very good first impression. They didn’t like each-other but they felt a certain pull between them. When the meet next time,Corrado is in the middle of his training(which was brutal)and Alesssio is there to comfort him.In their next scene they already have something going on between them.I was really disappointed with this because I didn’t feel that usual chemistry between Kris’s characters.Sure, there was tension, the sexy times were good, the suspense was there but that real thing that makes me love her stories so much was missing to me.
Corrado was trying to the the right thing by his family and hide his bisexual side, that was unfair to Alessio and I didn’t like it,I get why he did it,but I didn’t like it.Alessio deserved more than what he got from Corrado because he has given him everything that was important to him.
The whole Ginny and Corrado part I didn’t like all that much.It was rushed, very rushed.I didn’t liked Ginny’s character in general.I didn’t understand her and what she wanted, and to be honest, she stood between Corrado and Les and I didn’t liked it.The relationship between her and Corrado was based on lust more than love.Just like with him and Alession. In one scene they are avoiding each other and in the other they are kissing.
This book was long, but for Ginny,Corrado and Alessio to be real thing for me,I needed it to be longer.Like this, things felt really rushed, especially at the ending.I just didn’t get the same feeling as I usually do when reading a book from this author.Because of that I’m really glad that there is a second book involving these three people.I want them to be real to me and I want more from them.
This book took me on a tale of a forbidden love that will blow your socks off. There was chemistry, tension and all around amazing storyline. The author has created a masterpiece that is m/m and created a world of sexual confusion that is turned beautiful and will keep you reading pages so fast to find out what is happening. The author provides characters that are flawed, intense, and full of life. This author is well known for her mafia books, and this one has twists in it you don’t expect. This book makes you enter their world and live in it with them. The author takes this form of writing which I don’t read often (m/m) and makes me fall in love hard with these amazing, broody characters.
Corrado, Les, and Ginny will take you on a twisted tale of romance, lust and intensity. Together, they can see what the future holds, but of course never expected it to look like this. Hands down, go read this story. It’s one that will leave you begging for more, literally, because it ends in a cliffhanger. A book that will stay with you long after you turn the last page.
I have read a lot mafia books. Let’s say I am obsessed with the genre. Imagine a hot made man organizing crime and finding love behind the chaos, blood, guns and mayhem. Sounds like an antihero you would read, right? Well, only Bethany-Kris writes the baddest and sexiest mafia men you can’t help fall in love with. I have been a fan of her books for a long time. Looking for a fast paced thriller, she delivers. Looking for a different kind of mafia read, she has it. Looking for addictive characters with exciting qualities, she gives it. Every book she has written has been outstanding. I always happen to fall in love with them all the time.
OMG!!!!!! When Bethany-Kris writes one captivating mafia romance, you feel it. You feel the drama. You feel the danger. You feel the passion. You feel the mayhem. In the pages. In the characters. Man oh man, Corrado punched my heart deeply. With every word, I was plunged deep. With every scene, I was catapulted into a seductive and deeply pulse hitting world. Wow, Corrado transported me to another world. The story capturing. Mesmerizing. Heart Hitting. Heart Paralyzing. Entrancing. Luring. Corrado is the spellbinding first book in the Guzzi Legacy with a MMF trope, giving you one fascinating ride. Corrado is sexy. Corrado is a crackle of endless emotions. Angsty. Taboo. Dark. Alluring. Unconventional. Corrado will split your heart and ravage your soul.
Corrado and Les. Corrado and Ginevra. Les and Ginevra. Omg, these three truly made my heart go crazy and my soul bleed. Tangled. Complicated. Delicious. Emotional. Electrifying chemistry. I felt their struggles in feelings for each other. I felt their despair. I felt their passionate. It is sinful. It is addictive. It is unforgettable. You fall in love with Corrado, Les and Ginevra.
I am so excited for the conclusion. I am so freaking ready!!!!!!!!
ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.
This is the 1st book in a new duet form this talented author, and what an amazing introduction this is! Carrado, Alessia, and Ginny’s story is an emotional roller coaster journey from the very beginning. This is a well written flawless story which had me totally captivated throughout, and is filled with drama, emotion, secrets, passion, and is an all round thrilling read. I cannot wait to read the 2nd book, and recommend for all.
Such an amazing book. You really get to see into the head of Corrado. How he felt when he saw Alessio for the first time and when he saw Ginevra. It’s a roller-coaster of emotions though out the story. I also like that you get to see some of the other characters you fell in love with in the beginning. Seeing Corrado perspective on how the Guzzi family sees their mother is so touching.
Be prepared to be left begging for more at the end!
This is an MMF duet story meaning there will be 2 books total. This is book 1.
Be still my heart…….Corrado Guzzi and Alessio “Les” Sorrento are my newest addiction. These two men who we meet at the age of 17, ingrain themselves into your soul and Do Not Let Go. They are moody, cocky and similar as they are different. Each not really fitting in, The League is where they meet and their lives connect and make sense.
Corrado and Les are MM but appreciate a woman when one peaks their interest. But their relationship is complicated. Corrado is from Cosa Nostra Guzzi Famiglia and much is expected. He would never cause issues for his family and he carries that weight in his heart. Les got himself “family” when he was 10 yrs old. It wasn’t a traditional family but it was one where he was cared for and loved and living in The League. Corrado and Les have a special chemistry that the author so richly expresses through magnificent words. While their life is unconventional and filled with obstacles because of who they are, they know that each other is ““Koi no yokan,” A feeling. It is the feeling upon meeting someone you know, eventually, you will fall in love with that person.”
But when a favor is called upon from Corrado, he didn’t know that “Koi no yokan,” could happen again, as in a woman, Ginevra Calebrese. And while Corrado and Les do not keep secrets from on another, Geneva becomes their first. Ginny is introduced towards the end of Corrado and all I can say is OMG…. Ginny and Corrado. That is not to take away from Corrado and Les because their relationship is unique, special and also .
And while Les meets Ginny at the end, I know that this author is gonna rock my world with Alessio’s book. The heat and the passion between these three can only be combustible because she makes you feel the intensity between all the relationships. Their fears, doubts, lust, sexuality, and love are all heightened because of who they are, what they are apart of and what they feel for one another.
I know that Corrado, Les and Ginny will ignite my heart and my soul with a reverent type of fiery, combustible, emotional passion. I absolutely can not wait for the next book.
4.5 Corrado Stars!
From beginning to the end I was HOOKED! Corrado is not your typical mafia principe. He’s not interested in following in his father’s footsteps by joining the family business and carrying on his family’s legacy. It’s something he struggles with because he loves his family and doesn’t want to disappoint them in any way.
Alessio didn’t have the same upbringing as Corrado. He lost his parents at a young age and was taken in by Dare and Cree. They are his family. All he wanted was to go on his first assignment for The League but then Corrado happened.
Corrado and Les are alike but also different. They’re intense but soft in their quiet moments together. Their chemistry is out of this world. I NEED Alessio’s book like yesterday! Gian is a DILF! His love for his children and Cara is sooo HOT! I’ve missed him!
