The son of a prominent Cosa Nostra Don, Corrado Guzzi’s life should have been all mapped out. He would be what every other Guzzi man was, too—made, mafia. It’s their way. But when given another choice, the chance to be something more, he takes it. Even if it comes with strings. It’s there that he might find where he belongs, and Alessio Sorrento. The man who could change his whole life. This love … life.
This love thing? It should have been easy, but they made it hard. Nothing about a relationship like theirs is simple. Dictated by rules, weighed down with things left unsaid, and already hanging by a frayed thread.
This is what love looks like before, and after.
Before she came along.
And after she was there.
It takes one woman to change everything.
Ginevra Calabrese wasn’t ready for this—for them.
So, what happens now?

NOTE: Corrado (book one) and Alessio (book two) are a duet within The Guzzi Legacy series, and should be read in order. All other titles in the series are standalone. This is NOT a love triangle.

Corrado Guzzi is the son of Gian Guzzi, the boss of the Cosa Nostra family and he understands what is expected of him as part of such a powerful organization. He was feeling like he didn’t belong, he was different and he was struggling with his sexuality. He joined the League and the universe was tilted as he met Les but continues to remain faithful to his family tradition without labeling things with Les.
Fast forward five years with Les and he’s faced with repaying a favor for almost botching an assignment and meets Ginevra Calabrese. Corrado feelings is tested again as he keep things from Les about Ginevra that he find as troubling and a threat to their relationship. Corrado knew Les is a powder keg ready to explode at any given time but he procrastinated with revealing his secrets. It was sad to see Ginevra suffering from her past ordeal yet is thrown in the middle of a situation with Les and Corrado.
This is an excellent book filled with insecurity, complex love, betrayal, conflicts, and lies. The author never seems to amazed me as her protagonists is unique in their different personality, idiosyncrasy and is always fresh.
****I voluntarily received an Advance Review Copy of this book in exchange for my honest review****
Woah… I did NOT see that coming! Let me just tell you all something… for the last 2 to 3 years I have been reading and listening to Bethany Kris’s books… every single one of her books. There isn’t a single one that I have rated below 4 stars; most of them have hit on 5 star ratings. So, I have stopped reading her synopsis’s before I get the books, it just doesn’t seem necessary anymore. I just one-click and devour. Image my surprise when I cracked open Corrado and realize I was reading a MM romance, which is fine but I can’t recall Mrs. Kris writing this genre previously. But, oh my Lordy! She crushed it like I’ve never seen her do before. Here is where I feel like a late night infomercial… but wait, there’s more! And that is how the rest of this book goes down!
So the beginning half of this book is exactly what I expected from Bethany Kris. The story is developed, the relationship between Corrado and Alessio is intense and strong. They have this relationship where everything just clicked in place, like it was always meant to be. They are there for each other and have a deep belief in the other. I loved the aspect of a same sex relationship where they openly engage with the opposite sex… together. The latter half of the book isn’t as in-depth as I expect from Mrs. Kris but this book doesn’t follow any of her previous formats so I really can’t base it on that. I have to mention that Bethany Kris’s words are completely magical… the way she describes the love and chemistry between the characters gives them life. Toward the end, Corrado and Ginevra meet and sparks fly. Then Ginny is introduced to Les and I’m on my TOES waiting on the second book of this duet.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
5 STARS
Corrado is the first book in The Guzzi Legacy and it is set as a duet. This story is spellbinding! Especially when reading how Corrado and Alessio initially meet, to how their relationship develops and grows. I was intrigued when I first read the synopsis and was fascinated with how Ginevra would tie into their relationship once I started reading further into the story. I’m eager to see Ginevra and Alessio’s future interactions, as they were limited to the one initial encounter in this book. I’m so looking forward to book 2!
What can I say other than I loved all aspects of this story! It was a phenomenal and EPIC read that I would highly recommend! Bethany-Kris never fails to release a book that Ill end up loving and writing characters that stick with you! Corrado by Bethany-Kris will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
Corrado is the first book in the Guzzi Legacy Series. It blew my mind. I seriously don’t know if I could find the words to clearly explain how I felt reading it and even after I finished.
Corrado is so different from her other hero’s in the Commission World but not. His personality fit his character perfectly. Then there is Alessio. He is so alluring. I was enraptured with their relationship. You can’t help but be drawn to their feelings for each other as Love knows no bounds and I was enamoured. When BK throws in Ginny into the mix it had just made the story so much more fascinating though there isn’t much of the three together which is why I am looking forward to Book 2 which is Alessio’s story as you see how they go from MM to MMF.
I am a MMF virgin and wasn’t sure how I would feel reading Corrado but I was pleasantly surprised though I had no doubt that I would enjoy it since Bethany-Kris has a way with her words. You see beyond the gender and labels as it truly is about connection and feelings. This MMF story by Bethany-Kris is an epic read. It left me with a massive book hangover. I am dying for more and highly recommend this one. Don’t pass it up as it was an all-consuming and highly addicting book I could not put down.
Undeniably a 5+ Star Book!
WOW! What an incredible story. I was totally taken by surprise numerous times through-out the book. There is so much depth and feelings within the characters. Corrado, the good-looking man from the Mafia Family, Alessio, blue-eyed and gorgeous, both men impressive beyond words. And then there is Ginevra, dazzling exquisite. Two men, one woman and lots of twists and turns. I was drawn in from the first page until the very end and on edge the last few chapters afraid of what was going to happen. It was an excellent book and I loved everything about it.
