I’m not sure what rock I’ve been living under that I haven’t discovered this author before now. But after devouring this book you can be assured that I am already adding the rest of this author’s works to my library. This book – I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed it. It was the perfect addition to my holiday list. A good clean romance with the perfect balance of sass. All of the characters blended perfectly and I loved the underlying theme of a strong family unit. 5++++ stars!
I first discovered this author 5 years ago when I read the first Walker series book. So when I saw this one I had to buy it and read it. The author did NOT disappoint, this story is absolutely captivating, Chloe is a strong and independent female who knows her worth. Jason is a good guy with a good heart and a strong sense of trying to do the right thing. I love Byron who I just wanted to call grandpa and hug on him. I wanted to wrap my hands around William and found myself quite often cussing him out. The other secondary characters added even more to the story and I’m hoping there will be secondary books that have Tyler, Gwendolyn and the rest of the crew. The authors writing style flows so incredibly smooth, she connects the characters, and the readers to the characters. There were hysterical moments that made me laugh out loud (just remember stapler), parts that made me scream, and even parts that brought tears to my eyes. This was the perfect book to bring in the New Year with and I enjoyed it tremendously. if you enjoy a good clean romance book that is driven by real romance, laughter, a happily ever after, and just a little office politics you should get your copy today! I promise this author will bring immense joy to you.
Such a feel good Christmas story! Corporate Christmas is a novel written by Bernadette Marie. Marketing assistant Chloe is on her way to the promotion she has been working her entire career for as account manager. That is until Jason appears and is introduced to her as the new account manager. Chloe continues to fight and lands the company’s biggest account. But somewhere in all of this an attraction has sparked although she tries to fight it every step of the way. There are so many twists and turns and your emotions go on a serious roller coaster, this book is great! Especially for a Christmas book. This is definitely a must read for the holidays! The characters work really well together. This is a believable story and one that you just fall right into. This was definitely a page turner. I couldn’t put it down and didn’t want to! I have never read this author before but I am truly excited to see what else she has!
Corporate Christmas by Bernadette Marie
I tend to stay away from Christmas books because it’s not my favorite, but the synopsis convinced me to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. It’s Christmasy but not overboard.
Chloe is like a lot of professional women busts her butt only to get overlooked for the big promotion, but this time it worked in her favor.
Jason walked into the new job not knowing what to expect. He got more than he bargained for in the best way.
Ms. Marie is a new to me author though she has released several books. I’m so glad I didn’t avoid this Christmas book and have discovered a new author.
Chloe Richardson is a lady with ambition and puts the work in to get what she wants, she has just missed thanksgiving so that she could finalise the contract of her biggest client to date and hopefully land the promotion she has been working towards, plus she has the mother of all headaches, she has been out of the office briefly to look at the window decorations and festivities, including something she has on top of her Christmas list, she is now preparing the last bits of the contract, two of her bosses come into her office, one to ask how she is and how her thanksgiving was, the other to badger her about the contract. All of a sudden, another voice interrupts her, it is an attractive man with dark hair and blue eyes which make her choke on her painkiller, after he offers her his bottle of water, he introduces himself as Jason Mitchel and asks to see her boss, l and so she takes him to see the second one, however, when he says what he is there for, she is reeling, it is the job she was angling for, he then gets hurried out of the door to go to dinner with the boss, this is the last straw for Chloe, she rips up the contract, leaves the office, packs a bag and heads straight to her mums in the most festive town she knows, Aubrey Heights.
Jason is wondering why his reception at his new job was frosty at best and why he had been hired, he is also thinking about Chloe, why she may have passed up the opportunity he now has, but also in a non-work related capacity as well, this is something he doesn’t want to happen after last time. Meanwhile, as Chloe arrives at her mum’s house, she is waiting with a cup of tea and ready to listen to all that has happened, Chloe tells her everything and listens to her advice in return, after that, she goes to bed and decides to enjoy her Saturday with her family.
Jason wakes the next day and goes for a run before choosing how he would spend his Saturday, he receives a call from his mother and after talking to her about arrangements for christmas, decides to go through the stuff he brought from his old office and decide what he was going to keep, mainly to keep his mind off of the other person who keeps calling him. After a good night’s sleep, she wakes up to family, waffles and being questioned as to why she hasn’t settled down.
After heading home early on Sunday morning due to realising that she made a mistake shredding the contract and after a phone call from the woman in charge of the company this contract is dealing with, she goes back to the office on Sunday to reprint it, finish up the corrections and personally hand it in on Monday. While she is there Jason happens to be setting up his desk and hearing someone else there goes to investigate, but startles Chloe and she ends up throwing a stapler at his head and taking him to the emergency room for stitches, this takes hours and is where they start to talk properly to each other and get to know the other a bit more, they discuss the contract then end up working together to repitch it the next day, but Chloe is still annoyed that she has been passed up, so goes to the client without him, much to Jason’s annoyance.
This is just the beginning of the trouble which Chloe and Jason find themselves in on the run up to Christmas, one thing after another happens and nothing is what it originally seemed, but can Christmas bring the miracle that they both want, or will the water flowing under the bridge break it down before they have the chance? The only way to find out is to read their story and experience it with them.
Corporate Christmas by Bernadette Marie is a romantic Christmas story. This is a quick read which I went through in one sitting but nice because I wasn’t tied for days with a book. The story follows hardworking Chloe Richardson who has been overworking in order to bring in a prime client and land the new promotion. She has given up cherished family time and more for her job. When she is overlooked for the promotion for the new Jason Mitchell what does she do? I love that the character of Chloe is realistic and hardworking. She wants to be the best she can be and sometimes we are handed some crappy hurdles. I enjoyed how Jason handles his new position and finds a way to incorporate Chloe into his work. This is a sweet, romance between two people who are trying to make the best of their life. I really enjoyed this author and look forward to reading more from her in the future.

“The big city had squashed her spirit. Perhaps she needed her small town to build it again.”
Corporate Christmas by Bernadette Marie is fun Christmas romance that held my attention from the very first page. As this is my first read from Bernadette Marie, I really wasn’t sure of what to expect from one of her stories. But having come out the other side, I can honestly say that this is one author who knows how to write a great book, and I will definitely be reading more of her work in the future- already adding her to my must read author list.
Chloe Richardson loved her job at the advertising agency, it was her sole focus- she revelled in bringing new clients and had quickly become the firm’s top performer. In fact, her latest contract would be the ‘biggest’ client yet- putting Chloe firmly in line for a coveted promotion. Or so she though. All her plans are smashed to smithereens when a newcomer is hired to take over the position Chloe assumed would be hers, and leaving her unemployed right before Christmas. Chloe would love nothing better than to hate the man who ‘stole’ her position and left her jobless- but the heart doesn’t always listen to the head. So, Chloe packs up and heads back to her home town for Christmas- giving herself some much needed down time before having to decide what she wants to do with her life, in the New Year. But what happens when Mr. sexy follows her back home- turning up unexpectedly and trying to win her heart? How things unfold makes for a really wonderful story.
Small town Christmas romance, with chemistry, drama, angst, a touch of Christmas magic, wonderful characters, and a feel-good ending.
Looking forward to more from Bernadette Marie.
Thank you, Bernadette Marie!
Wow! I haven’t read this author before but in the spirit of the holidays, I wanted to find new Christmas stories and i sure found one!
I loved this writing style and the characters just kept this story so real and engaging. They were likeable, hateable (not a word but it is now lol), and just relatable.
I will be reading more from this author. You now have a new fan!
CORPORATE CHRISTMAS by BERNADETTE MARIE
5 of 5 Stars
I loved this heartwarming festive romance which really put me in the Christmas spirit. This fairly short story was packed full of drama and romance, and took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I fell in love with the two main characters, Chloe and Jason and I also fell in love with the extremely Christmasy setting of Aubrey Heights. Author Marie really bought both the characters and the setting to life with her descriptive narrative and it helped make me feel immersed in the story. The storyline flowed well making this an enjoyable and engaging read. Having just landed the biggest client of her career and for the company she works for Chloe Richardson is convinced she will be offered the promotion she’s been working so hard for. Chloe is shocked and upset when she meets Jason Mitchell who has just been employed for the job she thought was hers. As well as being angry she also can’t help but like the handsome and charming Jason. Jason was looking forward to starting his new job and starting a fresh but was unaware that he was taking someone else’s job, especially the beautiful and intriguing Chloe’s job. When things get worse and she looses her job Chloe returns to her childhood home in Aubrey Heights, where Christmas is celebrated in a tourist wonderland. Jason follows her to Aubrey Heights with the intention of winning her heart but a series of misunderstandings concerning ex boyfriends and Chloe’s numerous job offers complicate things for the couple. I was cheering them on hoping they would get their Christmas happily ever after. This story really gave me that feel good factor and left me full of the Christmas spirit.

This was a really enjoyable read. I love Christmas stories so I was really looking forward to starting this one and it didn’t disappoint at all. It was on the shorter side but it was still a perfect read. I loved the characters and felt a really connection with them, they were well planned and thought out in my opinion. I really liked Chloe, she was a nice character to read about and I loved Jason, he wasn’t what I expected at first and I fell in love with him straight away. I thought that they both had a lovely connection! There were some very sweet moments between them.
All in all this was a lovely romantic Christmas read and one that I highly recommend! I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
This is a lovely heartwarming festive read. I loved loved characters and the author did a good job of fully immersing you into their story.
Chloe was a successful woman looking at a promotion but that all changed when her promotion was given to Jason. Still she kept working until she was fired. Heartbroken she returned home to Aubrey Heights.
What she doesn’t expect is Jason to follow her.
The connection and attraction between Jason and Chole is real and Jason can’t imagine his life without her in it.
Can Jason prove to her that they are ment for each other? Will the spirit of christmas win over the couple? Or will Chole be too hurt and scared to let Jason in.
CORPORATE CHRISTMAS by Bernadette Marie was my first experience reading anything by this author. I was quite surprised how much this little holiday novella had packed into a fast paced and well thought out story. I love reading holiday books this time of year that encourages my belief in love and magic and this was a perfect addition to my list this year. We get to meet Chloe and Jason as they traverse a relationship and attraction that is only hindered by outside forces beyond her control. I look forward to seeing what else is available by Ms. Marie and hope to see more holiday shorts from her in the future as well.
Corporate Christmas is a great contemporary romance by Bernadette Marie. This was the first time that I had read any of this author’s work but I was attracted by the blurb and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad that I decided to take a chance with this book as I really enjoyed it and would definitely read more of Bernadette Marie’s work if this book is any thing to go by.
I really loved the main female character Chloe Richardson. She’s feisty, talented and willing to work her backside off for something she really wants: and that is to land the big contract and get a promotion. However her dream crashes round her when her boss’ son hires someone for the promoted role and then fires her, even though she lands the contract, with the help of newly hired Jason Mitchell, who she really wants to hate but can’t help admiring.
I really enjoyed this book. Chloe and Jason’s story is a really great read that I was drawn into from the beginning and was kept engaged in by a great storyline which is well written and flows well making it an easy read.
With the added attraction of this being a Christmas story which I love reading this is a book that I’d definitely recommend.
Corporate Christmas by Bernadette Marie was a good 4 star read.
Chloe is a hard worker, so much so that she missed Thanksgiving with her family. She is working towards a promotion that she should have in the bag. When she meets Jason he has come into the office to speak with her boss’s son.
Jason gets the impression that Chloe is surprised to find out who he is. He doesn’t feel right about the situation and soon finds out that he had taken the job she was working towards. When he finds out the truth about Chloe’s departure from the company he is even more upset.
When Jason shows up in Aubrey Heights, Chloe is confused as to why he’s there. Will he be able to convince Chloe to work with him? Will these two give into their attraction and get a HEA?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I didn’t care too much for the boss’s son, and hated what he had done to Chloe. I really liked Chloe, she is a hard working woman with a great personality. Jason grew on me as well, the chemistry between them was great. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today on this great holiday read.
Chloe finds herself working through the Thanksgiving holiday to close the deal on a big client so that, hopefully, she will be enjoying Christmas with a promotion. However, her hopes for the promotions are gone when Jason walks into the office and introduces himself as her new boss.
Jason left his previous company due to a hostile work environment, and it seems as though his first introduction to his co-worker, Chloe, isn’t going so well. He doesn’t know why she doesn’t like him, but he likes her (as maybe more than just a co-worker).
When Chloe signs her big client, that’s when the drama really starts. A lot happens (and I don’t want to give any of it away), but it happens just like a Hallmark movie. I loved every second of it. A quick and fun holiday romance that I couldn’t put down.
This story follows Chloe, who loses her promotion to a hunk of a man named Jason. He takes her job, so she does what every woman would do and high tail it home. The only problem is that Jason wants her too, so he follows her to her hometown. The characters and scenes were well developed and written, which made it nice and easy to read. I loved how the characters meshed well together. This is a shorter story at about 185 pages – so totally readable in one sitting, and believe me, you will not be able to put it down.
Corporate Christmas by Bernadette Marie is a fun holiday romance with some great characters. This is quite a quick read so perfect for that lazy afternoon in the holidays when you can put your feet up and spend a few hours reading.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I loved how relatable and engaging the characters were. They felt like fun to read about while also having a depth to them that I hadn’t expected. They worked really well together and had a believable chemistry that worked with the story.
The overall story was fun and for the most part lighthearted. It was exactly what I want from a holiday romance. The writing was well paced but not too heavy and the made for an interesting story.
This is a great book and a new author to look out for in the future.

Corporate Christmas by Bernadette Marie
The first read by the author and not my last. Corporate Christmas is a fantastic read. Marie knows what she’s doing while writing. Short, sweet, and romantic.
Chloe works through Thanksgiving for a promotion she’s been working hard for. Only to have it taken out from underneath her feet. She is let go and when the man comes looking for her things change. The quote I chose for Chloe is: “No, not that. Well, maybe that. No, what I figured out was I don’t want to do any of this without you. I want you in my life, Jason. I want you around me every day.”
Jason doesn’t know he’s taking a job from someone else. When he learns that she quit he’s upset. He then learns that she didn’t quit, she was fired. The quote I chose for Jason is: “And I don’t want to be where you’re not.”
Highly recommended for contemporary romance lovers.
A cute festive story. The main character Chloe has you liking her from the beginning. The story goes through a myriad of emotions but inevitably leaves you smiling. No spoilers but I love the fact the prologue gives you an insight in to two years down the line. Hoping to read more about Chloe and her adventures.
Corporate Christmas by Bernadette Marie. Want a Christmas story like you get on tv this is right up your alley in all the right ways. I love heartwarming stories at Christmas time they just have a life of their own that captures a piece of my heart every time. This is a shorter read but trust me that in no way hindered this wonderful story. The characters are complex and relatable I found myself completely drawn in to their world and connected with them right off. Chloe and Jason gave me all the feels and I absolutely loved getting lost in the pages of their story. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m definitely looking forward to more from this author and I can’t wait to see what more is offered to readers. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!
