Cooper’s Charm is exactly that… charming. After a traumatic experience, Phoenix leaves behind her life and tries to start over at an RV park. She finds the sexy owner, Cooper. Cooper and Phoenix both have traumatic experiences in their life. They seem to be drawn to each other even though they don’t want to be. Then Ridley, Phoenix’s sister shows up. Although, people think think Ridley has a perfect life, she too is going through a traumatic experience. The book is well written with captivating characters. It is hard to pick a favorite character. They all are life like with both good and bad qualities. Lori Foster brings you in and keeps you there at Cooper’s Charm. She makes me want to go buy an RV and live at a RV resort. 🙂 I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Very fast read. Couldn’t put book down. Books got more turns than a road map.
A sweet romance with two people having a second chance at love. Both heartbroken they come together unexpectedly. The secondary characters added to the story along with the banter that had me chuckling. There is a back story mystery that may have you second guessing. Entertaining read, I loved it.
3.75 stars–COOPER’S CHARM is the first instalment in Lori Foster’s contemporary, adult SUMMER RESORT romance series. This is thirty-four year old, resort owner Cooper Cochran, and twenty-five year old, landscaper Phoenix Rose, as well as scuba instructor Baxter McNab and twenty eight year old Ridley Rose’s story lines.
Told from several third person perspectives COOPER’S CHARM follows the building relationships between is thirty-four year old, resort owner Cooper Cochran, and twenty-five year old, landscaper Phoenix Rose, as well as scuba instructor Baxter McNab and Phoenix’s twenty eight year old sister Ridley Rose. Phoenix Rose is trying to escape her brutal past, a past that has left our heroine a shell of her former self. A landscaper by trade, Phoenix is about to embark on a new career as the groundskeeper for Cooper’s Charm RV Park and Resort. Meeting her new boss Cooper Cochran stirred something in Phoenix, long thought denied, an immediate attraction to a man whose own past is mired in grief and loss. What ensues is the building relationship between Phoenix and Cooper, and the potential fall-out as someone is targeting Phoenix and the people at Cooper’s Charm.
Meanwhile, Phoenix’s sister Ridley Rose is struggling through issues of her own. Recently divorced, Ridley battles loneliness and loss but a decision to join her sister at Cooper’s Charm places Ridley on a path towards her future including a new job and a second chance for a happily ever after.
COOPER’S CHARM is a sweet and sexy story about two sassy sisters who will turn Cooper’s Charm upside down. Lori Foster pulls the reader into an engaging and delightful tale focusing on second chances, friendships, heartbreak and love. The premise is entertaining; the romances are passionate and steamy; the characters are colorful and fun. My only complaint is the identity of the person threatening Phoenix Rose-a questionable identity in the grand scheme of villains and dastardly schemes.
Enjoyed this book very much! It’s characters were warm and believable.
Lori Foster never disappoints me. Every time I pick up her book I know I’m in for a treat. This book is no exception.. Phoenix is trying to recover from a horrible trauma and so is Cooper. The build up of their relationship is awesome and realistic. There were some plot twists and story very entertaining. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. Wish the resort was a real place we could all visit as well.
Lori Foster is one of my favorite authors. Her books transport me to the locales where her characters live. In Cooper’s Charm, I discovered the summer fun of an RV park.
My favorite books to get lost in are those that include an ensemble cast of characters– people that find themselves thrown together and create a community, a family.
Phoenix Rose is a unique heroine. She has come to Cooper’s Charm to find work and herself. She has quite a bit of personal conflict to work through. I love her determination and her work ethic– she has a strong moral compass. Cooper has a similar background and their story moves at a natural, well paced speed.
Phoenix has a sister, Ridley, who moves at an entirely different speed with the local scuba instructor, Baxter McNab. They are white hot off the rip– it is an exciting, tense relationship that pairs well with the surrounding action of the book.
Cooper’s Charm has it all– love, personal struggle and redemption, healing, mystery, excitement, a little horror and comedy for balance.
It was a pleasure to read this book and get lost in Lori’s world for a few hours.
New beginnings and fresh start! I loved this newest series by Lori Foster. Cooper’s Charm is perfect place to heal for two people trying to start over. You will fall in love with the location and the characters. You won’t be able to put this book down!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.

Cooper Cochran came to the lake campground to help heal after losing his wife to a robbery. One look at the campground and he knew he had to own it. After owning the campground named Cooper’s Charm for 2 years he needed a groundskeeper and along came Phoenix Rose to take the position after being attacked during a robbery. While out on a hike Cooper and Phoenix rescue a puppy named Sugar who had been mistreated and save it from falling off a train tressel.
Cooper’s Charm is a warm, poignant book about healing. i loved how although this book was about Cooper and Phoenix it also featured Ridley, Phoenix’s sister, and Scuba Diving instructor, Baxter. Sometimes all it takes to fall in love is the right person in the right place. Of course, the little surprises that somehow come along make you realize how much you love someone.
I love Lori Foster’s book and this one did not disappoint. It had everything that you expect in her books when your reading them and I cannot wait to read the next book in the Love at the Resort series.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Phoenix Rose is ready for a new beginning – seems to fit her name perfectly. Cooper “Coop” Cochran has his work cut out for him – especially with an employee like Maris Kennedy. Setting the mood is in the back of my mind as I read the beginning of this story.
Being out in nature is a good start. This makes it the perfect vacation read and I would love to find a place like Coop’s to sit and read this book and even maybe this series. Of course, they would also have to have his employees as well.
As I get to know Phoenix and her co-workers, they have me wanting to know more. It’s a great book to sit back and enjoy. It may be listed as a romcom but our author gives us a little mystery/suspense as well. Personally, I loved the connection our main characters had as well as getting to know all the secondary characters. You want some comic relief? Phoenix’s sister Ridley is an experience.
This book reminded me why Ms. Foster was my go to author when I needed something to feel good about. Her characters are always ones that I could relate to and they never seemed over the top. She always gives me the happy ending I want that will leave me with a smile on my face or even saying “aw”. And I get a conclusion to the mystery. Even with all that it still leaves me wanting more.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I was given an ARC for my honest review. Phoenix wants to rebuild her life and Cooper’s Charm is just the place. Accepting the position as head groundskeeper Phoenix is finally in a place she calls home. Cooper bought the RV park after losing his wife and Phoenix is the first woman to finally bring life and excitement back into his life. These two are so perfect for each other. I loved all these characters that form this unique family. Lori Foster bring her characters such life and their stories so captivating that you can’t put the down!
Another winner from Lori Foster. I love her books. This is the story of Phoenix and Cooper. She’s looking for a new start after a traumatic experience and he has issues from his past also. They meet at Cooper’s Charm when she applies for a landscaping job. A great story with great main and secondary characters and the usual HEA. It’s a story of second chances and rebuilding. I received an ARC for an honest review
A great start to a new series. A sweet and sexy read. I loved Phoenix and Cooper and how they helped each other heal. Sugar was the perfect sidekick. Looking forward to further books in this series.

Absolutely adored this book. Not surprising since Lori Foster is one of my favorites! I anxiously await every book.
Phoenix was attacked and robbed at her landscaping business. She hid and broke up with her fiancé. She applies for a job at Cooper’s Charm, a camp ground, lake, and RV site, as the head landscaper. She is trying to get her life back and start over. Cooper is the owner and has his own demons he has been battling. He has finally started living again and sees the fear behind Phoenix’s brave front. He wants to protect her but doesn’t want to scare her away.
When someone seems to be after Phoenix, Cooper will do anything to protect her. They start an affair but neither wants a long term relationship. But the more they are together, the harder they fall for each other.
Then Phoenix’s sister Ridley shows up and turns the scuba instructor Baxter inside out. She has been worried about Phoenix and comes to check on her and ends up working for Cooper too.
As the weeks pass and it seems the danger is past, the maintenance building is set on fire as a distraction to get to Phoenix. She has grown stronger in the months since she’s been there that she faces the intruder head on and fights back. When Cooper realizes that it’s a setup, he rushes to Phoenix to save her.
Excellent story and characters. Sexy, suspenseful, and funny. A sarcastic, witty sister and a lovable dog. Mrs Foster’s books will keep you on the edge of your seat and needing a cold shower.
