Coop is book 22 in the Reed Security series, and it is suggested that they are read in order.
Coop
Becky is life. She’s the sunshine that lights up my world. But for some reason, I just can’t seem to fully commit. Everything in my head is screwing with me, and if I don’t figure it out soon, I’ll lose her. And to make matters worse, my sweet angel of a daughter has turned into a rebellious … rebellious seventeen year old that is doing everything in her power to kill me. Something’s gotta give or I’m going to lose everything I’ve fought for in my life.
Becky
Coop has always been a mystery, but he was my mystery. Now, though, I can’t take any more. I want him, but I want all of him. If he can’t let me in, I can’t stick around. I need the whole man, not just the pieces he’s willing to give me. But even if I get him, can I hold onto him? He’s the one thing I want most in this world, but I have a feeling that things aren’t going to go my way.
“Target acquired. Everyone in position.”
I tested the front door, checking to see if it was locked. It was. At least I knew she was trying to remain safe indoors.
“Copy that,” Storm said. “Ready to storm this nice suburban house.”
“Yeah,” Tacocheese grumbled. “I’m ready for jail.”
“Move out.”
I kicked at the door twice and then gave a final boot to the door and watched it swing wide open, banging against the wall. I saw the look of shock on Kayla’s face as I moved into the living room and cleared the area. The asshole moved in front of her, trying to protect her. Wrong f^@king move.
“Down on your knees,” I shouted, pointing my gun at him. I knew that Tony Tacos and Storm were clearing the rest of the house, so I kept my gun trained on this asshole. He slowly moved to his knees, but my girl stood tall, refusing to get down. Obviously, she knew who I was. She would recognize the gear anywhere.
“Kayla, baby, get down. Just do as he says.”
“No,” she said defiantly.
I walked forward slowly and placed my boot right over the f^@ker’s fingers, slowly lowering the weight of my body on top of his hand. He screamed in agony, but I remained staring at Kayla.
“Still want to stay standing?” I asked her.
“You’re being an a$$hole,” she shouted.
“An a$$hole,” I repeated, lifting my boot just enough to kick the f^@ker in the side. He tipped over, holding his side and gasping for air. Kayla stared at me incredulously.
“What are you doing? You’re gonna get thrown in jail!”
“Kayla,” the f^@ker whimpered. “Just do as he says.”
I waited for her to listen, but my defiant little girl just wouldn’t do it. I quickly snatched him off the floor and held him against my body, my arm wrapped around his throat. Tony Tacos and Storm entered the room, both with wide eyes.
“Oh shit,” Tacos grumbled. “We’re so going to jail.”
“Should I call Cap?” Storm asked.
“He would do the same f^@king thing if it was Caitlin,” Tony answered.
“Just…don’t kill him,” Storm said, narrowing his eyes at me.
I grinned maniacally. “I’ll take that into consideration.” I turned to the kid, whispering in his ear. “Have you ever felt the sting of a really sharp blade against your neck?” He shook his head wildly. “That’s a shame. It’s really a very…exciting feeling. Let me show you.”
I pulled out my knife and slid it ever so slowly against his neck, not actually putting him in any danger. I was quite good with a knife and there was no chance that I would accidentally nick him.
“Doesn’t it make you feel alive?”
He shook his head slightly.
“Dad, would you stop f^@king with him?” Kayla said in exasperation.
“Dad? This is your dad?” the f^@ker shouted.
“Nice to meet you. You can call me Mr. Cooper.”

I was hooked from the very beginning with the good character and plot development that kept me turning the pages until the very last page!
I know this series is coming to an end soon. What I have loved about these books is the sense of family with this crazy, quirky lot of characters. Sometimes, there is absolute silliness, sometimes fear & sadness when mortal events occur, but in the end, they have each other. This story focuses on single father Coop, who is struggling to parent his 17 year old daughter Kayla, and Becky, the former IT guru at Reed Security. Coop has a tough time with his relationships with Becky and Kayla. He can’t be vulnerable enough with Becky so their relationship can move forward, and he can’t let go of Kayla enough to allow the 17 year old to grow. Their story strains all their bonds and loyalties when unimaginable events occur because of human errors. This story crushed my feelings, reading about so many people in pain-everyone is affected in some way, and it triggers past events for a few. Beautifully painful story.

New life, risk-taking and extremely moving
I loved this story. This opus is extremely well written, very strong and fascinating. This is the continuation of the story of Coop and Becky (already started in “A Mad Reed Security Christmas”). This part is at the beginning, introspective enough for the two of them because they have to make more decisive choices than before and in particular for them too, then it’s humorous and dramatic. In short, I went through all the stages of the emotions.
Their relationship was already complex with Coop who wanted Becky without endangering her until she decided to leave and he understood that he wanted to be with her, but without him revealing himself. But the two have a different view of relationships, the needs of the other, security. Where Coop wants a status quo to protect everyone, Becky wants to grow and take risks. However, for Coop, this concern about the people he loves and who want to emancipate is doubled by his daughter Kayla, who will soon be 18 and who begins to want to see beyond the protective walls of Reed Security, and have a normal life.
Moreover, there have been twists and turns in the story because there are quite strange activities that are taking place in Becky’s neighborhood.
The story always keeps as much humor, with the big guys from Reed Security who always find it so hard to take a step back from a normal life, and ordinary human relationships too, knowing that their companions are quite unusual too, but at the same time , the dramatic events of this episode are very moving.

Wonderful book with Coop and Becky who are sorta dating but he does not really let her get too close. He literally has scars from his time in the military and does not let her see them and will not look at her when they are intimate. Becky works with Reed Security where Coop works but she does not feel like their relationship is moving forward and decides to leave her job and if things do not change she plans to move on with her life. Coop also has pressure from his teenage daughter Kayla who wants to live a normal life not like the one where she is locked away because of threats. This book will have you in laughter then tears. It is a must read in the Reed Security Series.
That was one emotional rollercoaster.
Nightmares, unspoken secrets, past dramas and teenage girl, Kyla.
While Coop and Becky going hot, cold and steamy again, Kyla wants to be adult. Characters clashed, words and actions hurt .
It was long journey to happiness for Coop and Becky. He almost lost her before final step.
Don’t forget crazy comrades, theirs banter and friendship like nothing you can imagine.
Enjoy reading

Becky and Coop have been on again off again for a while. Becky wants to be with Coop but he is dealing with demons. He has scars both visible and unseen and doesn’t want to let her in. Coop is raising his teenage daughter Kayla and believes that their relationship is fine the way it is. If he doesn’t get close to her it won’t hurt if it doesn’t work out. When Becky helps Kayla in a way that betrays him he ends it and Becky spirals.
This is an AWESOME book. I absolutely loved it. It was original and the characters as always were amazing.

4.5***** stars. Whew! What started out as sluggish, picked up with a huge bang!! Picked it up a few times and put it down. Well, last night I could not put it down and finished it at 3:30 am. This series has always had lots of suspense and action and this did not disappoint. Coop and Becky’s relationship is having growing pains and his teenage daughter is not helping it. The repartee between the characters is a hoot as usual and entertaining. There were some very unexpected situations that were a bit graphic, so be aware. And the bad news, it’s not resolved here so plan on reading TNT next, which you probably would anyway.

What can I say? Pretty torn up I can’t give this a five star rating as I really like this author. Been a fan from the first book I read, but I just hated the main character, while I loved Becky.
So, not team Coop, and wasn’t able to get on his team even after the pretty great ending that finally had Becky smiling again. Even to the end, Coop was an emotional coward leaving the hospital room. ugh.
The writing was top notch as expected with lots of action and intrigue. Full of emotional intensity, but so painful for Becky!

Becky thought Coop was moving forward with their relationship but he seems to have reverted back.
After the progress they made with their relationship Becky had started to look forward to a future with Coop but then he seemed to revert back to the old Coop. She find it hard to be back to being someone he sees and spends the night with but with no emotional engagement which is making her feel used. Coop’s seventeen year old daughter Kayla has started rebelling against the restrictions place one her and Becky is caught between the two. Then strange things start happening in the neighborhood where she lives.
As with all Giulia Lagomarino’s books it is a roller coaster of an action romance with highs and lows in the romance, the action and the emotion depth.

Becky and Coop have been dating, but Becky can’t help but wonder if Coop will ever truly open up to her. Their relationship is at a standstill, Becky wants Coop to open up to her more, and doesn’t know if that will happen. Becky left Reed Security to get away to have space, but after talking to her roommate, she realises that she does miss both the work and the team members, but that doesn’t solve anything with Coop.
Coop was injured during his time in the military with burns, he doesn’t take his clothes off when they’re intimate, won’t look at Becky or let her touch him. Add to that Kayla used to be with him in everything now feels that she’s against him.
Coop’s trying with Becky but couldn’t help the feeling that there was a danger coming from somewhere. Coop knows he has to keep Becky safe; they keep telling him the danger’s over but is Coop’s feeling right.
The book gives you everything you’ve come to expect from the Reed Security Team and love – the only bad thing about it is you know it’s coming closer to the end of the series.
Once again the author brings us a couple to fall in love with. The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry between them is undeniable. The storyline flowed smoothly from start to finish.

Coop is another great book in the Reed Security Series, one fraught with emotions from the very beginning. The baggage Coop was carrying around broke my heart. Especially the way it affected Becky. If there was ever a woman who deserved a gold medal, it’s her. Then throw in teenage angst from his daughter and you can’t help but wonder what’s coming next. Coop was filled with twists and turns and very well-written. The characters were multi-dimensional and the storyline was very original. I give Coop 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who loves romantic suspense. Coop: A Reed Security Romance
Having read all the books to date, you can either read them alone or want to know more about each of the other characters and trust me you will want to. I started on the first in the series and I can’t stop, I look forward to each of their stories and the future of Reed Security. The author draws you in from the start, you don’t know what each book will entail but they all share the same feelings and/or thoughts we have with the connects we make in our lives. Through it all, no matter what you’ll feel like you’re a part of the book, you’ll feel the same things or understand them. If you’re anything like me, I have a little bit of all them in me. I truly suggest you read each one from the start of the series and the men and women within it. I started with Sinner and went on from there. You can’t just read one and move on to another book, oh no, you need to read the next one and the one after that, so on as you find out all the little bits of each character you begin to see the whole story of the series and those behind it. Each character brings their own bit to and and you want to know more. Don’t forget to read the series For the Love of a Good Woman with the other men involved in the series. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. This is a series that’s very intense you can relate to it at some point in your life, the trials and tribulations that they go through, is something either you or someone you know has. I’ve been totally pulled in by the author and you will be to. With Coop, it’s always his daughter first and always will be. While the woman in his life takes time to get him warmed up, Becky is the perfect person to do that. They have their moments and their world gets shaken by things that happen but there is always a reason things happen. We learn from those reasons and either grow or let them take over our lives.

Oh, I was so excited about Coop’s story! What a heck of a start to some background of what Coop has been through! What is Becky doing these days? Is she happy? What does her roommate, Delaney suggest she do? Does she? What happens when she and Coop go to Pittsburg? What does he find when he gets back? What does he do? This was a tough read for me! I was very angry with Coop. I was ready to murder him myself. I was glad when Kayla extended an olive branch to Becky! What happens to Delaney and Becky in their home? Read and see how quickly this becomes not just a romance, but also a suspenseful, murder-mystery. Oh my god!!! The range of emotions I felt reading this story. I will say that at one point, I was bawling so hard I could not breathe….well, maybe more than once…..

This is the 22nd book in this phenomenal series and is Coop and Becky’s story. I love all these Reed Security characters and their witty banter and teasing that goes on with their unit. Coop and Becky have been dating for a while, but she is getting to the stage that she wants more from him that the snippets he allows. Coop also has a 17-year-old daughter who is rebelling against his rules and actions. My heart broke for Becky but no spoilers: this is an absolute must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written flawless story which is humorous, intense, emotional, heart-warming, heart-breaking, and is filled with unexpected twists, angst, drama, action, witty banter and is a steamy and all-consuming story. This story may contain triggers for some readers so just be aware!
Wow, what a emotional book. I went through stages of anger, crying, cheering and laughing. I couldn’t put book down once started.
I wanted to knock some sense into some of them every so often.
I loved Coop and Becky together, they had such a great relationship even if it took Coop a while.
Another great book.
At last! Coop and Becky’s story! Incredible!! An edge of your seat, emotional rollercoaster ride! One of the best of the series!
