Coop is book 22 in the Reed Security series, and it is suggested that they are read in order.
Coop
Becky is life. She’s the sunshine that lights up my world. But for some reason, I just can’t seem to fully commit. Everything in my head is screwing with me, and if I don’t figure it out soon, I’ll lose her. And to make matters worse, my sweet angel of a daughter has turned into a rebellious … rebellious seventeen year old that is doing everything in her power to kill me. Something’s gotta give or I’m going to lose everything I’ve fought for in my life.
Becky
Coop has always been a mystery, but he was my mystery. Now, though, I can’t take any more. I want him, but I want all of him. If he can’t let me in, I can’t stick around. I need the whole man, not just the pieces he’s willing to give me. But even if I get him, can I hold onto him? He’s the one thing I want most in this world, but I have a feeling that things aren’t going to go my way.
“Target acquired. Everyone in position.”
I tested the front door, checking to see if it was locked. It was. At least I knew she was trying to remain safe indoors.
“Copy that,” Storm said. “Ready to storm this nice suburban house.”
“Yeah,” Tacocheese grumbled. “I’m ready for jail.”
“Move out.”
I kicked at the door twice and then gave a final boot to the door and watched it swing wide open, banging against the wall. I saw the look of shock on Kayla’s face as I moved into the living room and cleared the area. The asshole moved in front of her, trying to protect her. Wrong f^@king move.
“Down on your knees,” I shouted, pointing my gun at him. I knew that Tony Tacos and Storm were clearing the rest of the house, so I kept my gun trained on this asshole. He slowly moved to his knees, but my girl stood tall, refusing to get down. Obviously, she knew who I was. She would recognize the gear anywhere.
“Kayla, baby, get down. Just do as he says.”
“No,” she said defiantly.
I walked forward slowly and placed my boot right over the f^@ker’s fingers, slowly lowering the weight of my body on top of his hand. He screamed in agony, but I remained staring at Kayla.
“Still want to stay standing?” I asked her.
“You’re being an a$$hole,” she shouted.
“An a$$hole,” I repeated, lifting my boot just enough to kick the f^@ker in the side. He tipped over, holding his side and gasping for air. Kayla stared at me incredulously.
“What are you doing? You’re gonna get thrown in jail!”
“Kayla,” the f^@ker whimpered. “Just do as he says.”
I waited for her to listen, but my defiant little girl just wouldn’t do it. I quickly snatched him off the floor and held him against my body, my arm wrapped around his throat. Tony Tacos and Storm entered the room, both with wide eyes.
“Oh shit,” Tacos grumbled. “We’re so going to jail.”
“Should I call Cap?” Storm asked.
“He would do the same f^@king thing if it was Caitlin,” Tony answered.
“Just…don’t kill him,” Storm said, narrowing his eyes at me.
I grinned maniacally. “I’ll take that into consideration.” I turned to the kid, whispering in his ear. “Have you ever felt the sting of a really sharp blade against your neck?” He shook his head wildly. “That’s a shame. It’s really a very…exciting feeling. Let me show you.”
I pulled out my knife and slid it ever so slowly against his neck, not actually putting him in any danger. I was quite good with a knife and there was no chance that I would accidentally nick him.
“Doesn’t it make you feel alive?”
He shook his head slightly.
“Dad, would you stop f^@king with him?” Kayla said in exasperation.
“Dad? This is your dad?” the f^@ker shouted.
“Nice to meet you. You can call me Mr. Cooper.”

If you’re a single parent, you’ll certainly have empathy for Coop, even if he doesn’t go overboard. Bless his heart, he just wants to keep his daughter safe but as tight as he’s holding on and sequestering her, he’s going to lose her. Speaking of losing her, he’s about to lose his girlfriend as well if he can’t open up to her and let her in. She wants more than just a piece of him part-time. She wants it all. If you’ve been following the Reed Security series, then you know by now nothing goes easy or as planned for these guys and Coop’s story is no exception to that rule. Giulia Lagomarsino has filled this book with laughter, camaraderie, hijinks, drama, angst, mystery, romance and love. You’ll get a world of feels and all the emotion. It just seems to me, each book seems to get better and better. This book is worth so much more than five stars.
They each want the other but she is tired of not knowing the whole of him and she is getting tired of it all. He has so much on his plate with his daughter that he is not sure if he can have the relationship he wants. Can they get the relationship they need? Will it just crumble away? follow them to see if they will finally have the relationship they want

A storyline that had many painful surprises before a dramatic conclusion!
by sewsummore
I found this book a deeply emotional read that left me with tears in my eyes several times. The ending was perfect, but what happened earlier in the book left me teary-eyed and emotional. This book was full of ecstatic highs and deeply depressing lows as the characters suffer through events no family should ever have to experience. The characters were well known and liked from the previous books in the series, and it was impossible not to be affected by the many dramatic scenes in this book. I have not read a book before that has affected me as much as this story, very well written with a storyline that had many painful surprises before a dramatic conclusion.

Giulia Lagomarsino is becoming one if my favorite romantic suspense author. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen next. Cooper had me frustrated a few times with his stubbornness and my heart broke for Becky and Kayla. Coop took my breath away and I can’t wait for more in the Reed Security series. While this book is technically a standalone, you would follow the secondary characters and events better if you read the entire series.
I generally always love Giulia Lagomarsino’s books, but this is honestly one of my favourites. The heartbreak that Coop and Becky go through in this book had me crying(I love a book that can either make me laugh or cry) along with them. Giulia wrote this story so you while one minute you hated the characters reaction to a situation you were able to understand why they were having it and maybe even have a little sympathy for them.

Another absolute must read in this series. I always think that these books cant get any better but every time they do. This book tore my heart to shreds in places but by the end it had put it back together again. I honestly couldn’t put this story down,I was engrossed. The story had plenty of twists and turns throughout alongside everything else we love about these characters.
I can’t believe this is book 22 in the Reed Security series. At the rate Giulia Lagomarsino is going, we’ll be at book 50 and they will still be great reads. Soon the kids will be able to join their parents as operatives! Each book has an alpha male with a side of possessive craziness and 1 strong woman who loves his crazy.
This book focuses on Coop and Becky, with a side of Kayla, Coop’s teenage daughter. Coop suffered from burns in an accident while serving the country. The mental scars are as deep as the physical and he is emotionally closed off. Even though Coop and Becky are in a relationship, because of his emotional distance, she decides she deserves better. This part of the story is about opening up, surviving the twists and turns, and coming out on the other side.
Coop is also dealing with being the father of a 17 year old who wants to spread her wings. And if you’ve read any other Reed Security book, you know these men may over react just a little. I love these guys, but really.
The book has all the twists, turns, suspense, drama, and laugh out loud moments you’ve come to expect from these guys. I seriously cannot imagine this series ever ending. Outstanding read as always.

And she does it again! Giulia Lagomarsino has once again left me feeling all the emotions. Coop is book #22 in the Reed Security series and I loved every bit of it as much as I loved the first one. I have never loved a series with as many books as the Reed Security series like I love it. These characters are something special and amazing and make me fall in love with them all over again with each book. The characters are really what make this series what it is.
Coop is a man with a lot of issue. He’s an Army vet trying to move past the terrible things that happen while in war, while raising a teenage daughter as a single father, who just wants freedom. Coop has deep issues that have him keeping Becky at arms length.
Becky is the sweet, caring, strong, feisty woman who started the series doing IT for Reed Security. She loves Cooper and would do anything for him, but everyone has a breaking point. Love can only hold two people together for so long when so many obstacles stand in their way and aren’t being addressed.
Cooper and Becky’s story had me laughing out loud one minute and crying the next. Coop wouldn’t open up to Becky and wouldn’t let her touch him on his burns. She felt like she was totally exposed all the time while he was completely hidden. He was still very much paranoid, so much so that him and his daughter lived in a panic room. My heart hurt for Coop, Becky, and Kayla, each of them hurting in different but similar ways.
Coop had several different things happening all of which added to the storyline and had turning page after page. I had to know what came next but hated getting so close to the end. I could stay in the Reed Security world forever.
Giulia Lagomarsino has delivered another well-written, captivating, emotional rollercoaster. I was hooked from start to finish and still need more. This book is gritty, and raw. I felt the pain of these characters deep down in my heart. Coop is filled with real life heartbreaking issues, and Lagomarsino writes them beautifully. Coop my just be my favorite book in this series.
This author has quickly become a favorite and this book is another wonderful addition to the series. It can be read as a standalone but I also recommend reading all of the other books in this series. This is Coop’s story and it is filled with drama, action and some growing pains for all involved. Coop has been through the ringer and is struggling to raise his daughter, Kayla, as she is trying to assert her independence. Unfortunately, she grew up as her father was on the run from a psycho, named Adams, although believed to be dead, Coop is having a hard time believing and sees danger in every corner. Attempting to insert some helpful balance between father and daughter is Becky, Coop’s girlfriend. Becky used to work for Reed Security but decided that she needed some distance from Coop to see where their relationship could go, if anywhere. The major hurdle is the fact that Coop is unable to get past the damage he sustained when he was severely burned in a military accident and will not let Becky in. There are quite a few storylines going on at once that readers will become thoroughly engrossed in. One cannot help but fall hard for these characters and the camaraderie that they all share. There are a few triggers so read with caution. Overall, this is one book that will take readers for a wild ride with twists that they will not see coming and once again illustrate the theme of becoming a better man due to the love of a good woman. I highly recommend this book. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this story.
I have read quite a few in this series, but this one was the most emotional story for me. So much happened in the book, so many ups and downs, and I did not want to stop reading. Coop and Becky have had a sort of relationship for a while. This was their story, and I was not prepared for this journey. The strong love they had for each other was tested to nth degree, and through every regretful act and misunderstanding, I could still feel it even while I cried for the loss of it. I recommend this story but be prepared for steamy scenes, violence against women, and a love strong enough to pull everything back together.

First – you can’t just start with this book. Well, you could I guess, but you shouldn’t! This is book 22 in the Reed Security series. Why do I keep reading the books? They are addicting for one. Giulia Lagomarsino has a knack for bringing the characters to life, they are so real! On of the unique things about her books is that they are really funny, the interaction between all the characters and how they have different personalities. The characters carry over book to book, and grow. You get to “see” the same people over and over, either as the main part of the story or a side character, really getting to know them so to speak. The books also have serious themes, action as well as the romance. Definitely not a cookie cutter type series. Becky and Coop have a lot to overcome, and this book lets you experience all the good and bad. You want to just yell at them sometimes!

I am ADDICTED the The Reed Security series by Ms. Lagomarsino! #22 OMG, how does she do this? Time after time after time!
I’m drawn in and find it hard to turn my Kindle off when I know I have other things I must do! Like sleep!
Always such amazing dialogue! Emotions abound reading Ms. L’s novels.
I have only followed a few “many book” series, and this is one of them! I can’t wait for the next!
I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I absolutely love this series set in the world of Reed Security Not only are the guys and girls kick arse operatives but the stories are a wonderful mixture of suspense and drama all overlaid with a wonderful camaraderie between the team Yes they annoy one another but they are hilariously funny together and will do whatever needs to be done to protect one another This is the 22nd book in the series and do yourself a favour read them all and in order you will not be disappointed
This is Coop’s story he was badly injured while serving and he knows just how wicked the world can be this mean that he is way over protective of his 17 year old daughter as he tries to make sure she never sees the bad side of life The only thing is he could drive her away if he doesn’t slacken the reins a little Meanwhile he is also dealing with a girlfriend who wants more than the dribs and drabs of his life that he gives her Yes he has seen his friends fall one after the other and he wants that himself but can he let Becca into his dark soul. Meanwhile Becca has left Reed security to work for an insurance company and she is seriously thinking of leaving Coop behind as well. What will happen between these two
Boy did I have a few times of tears with this one, there is more than one situation that will bring you to tears and have your heart break for Coop along with the Reed Security guys along with Becky. This is not only about Coop coming to terms with the man he is scars and all but being a Father to a teenager and working out whether he can love someone as well as Becky also working out what she wants after leaving Reed Security and if Coop is worth all the compromising she does for him, then we have Kayla Coop’s daughter who is going through her teenage rebellion stage which is made harder with how she grew up. You have plenty of laughs, frustrations, steamy scenes as well as pain and heart break so get the tissues and wine ready .. oh and it ends on a bit of a cliffy so be warned!

Another great addition to this series. I loved it. This story is about Becky and Coop. They have been dating, but Becky wants a deeper relationship with him and things seem to be at a stand still. Becky left Reed Security to get away to have space, but after talking to her roommate, she realises that she does miss both the work and the team members, but that doesn’t solve anything with Coop. Coop Suffered an injury during his time in the military – he was burned and is very self conscious about being seen with his clothes off – he doesn’t take them off in front of others even Becky when they are intimate. He won’t look at Becky or let her touch him. Lots of emotions – a good read.

Book twenty-two in the A Reed Security Romance series a well written story that kept me turning pages. I will say read these book in order. Coop, his daughter Kayla, and Becky’s story of suspense, drama, danger, murder, a villain, and romance. I hope there is more to come in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Coop is trying to keep Kayla safe, and she’s giving him a run for his money. At 17, she wants normal teenage experiences, and the life that she never had when they were on the run. He’s been involved with Becky. She recently left Reed Security; feeling too constrained being with him all the time, she has a new job and a new home and roommate. The early part of the book is light and sometimes funny, with banter that borders on hilarious at times. The guys are at their best, teasing each other, reminiscing about good times, friends being friends. The book takes a very dark and dangerous turn, though. The unthinkable happens to Kayla. The weird things happening in Becky’s neighborhood seem to be escalating.
Becky is just Becky; although not completely fulfilled in her new position, she’s moving forward with plans for a new company. She feels like she and Coop are moving forward as he begins to open up more to her about his past. She takes it really hard when Coop shuns her, and it was hard to see her not care about anything, especially herself. Coop – I’ve got a real love/hate thing going on with him. He’s so frustrating – trying to keep Kayla from growing up, not opening up to Becky, shunning help from the other guys. Without giving anything away, he does (finally!!) redeem himself. Kayla is trying to be a typical teenager, but she’s wise beyond her years – asking to see Becky when Coop wouldn’t. While we don’t have a cliffhanger, some things are not completely resolved… The book is a roller coaster – the 22nd book in a series that seems to have a life of it’s own. I can’t even imagine how the author keeps all the details straight between characters and other books. Looking forward to the next book.

4.5
Coop is his own worst enemy.
As in, he can’t man up and commit.
Wuss.
Bigger wuss with his daughter.
Becky has been way too patient in waiting for Coop to man up.
An extensive (and I do mean extensive) cast of Reed Security characters.
Another Reed Security book, number twenty two in the magnificent series. This book focuses on Coop and Beckie. Coop knows that Beckie is the sun in his world. Beckie wants Coop to be all in when it comes to their relationship. To add icing to the cake, his teenage daughter is of course challenging his sanity. These characters are complex and have so many layers it is always a fantastic read. This one is no different. This author creates another amazing story to showcase.the main characters.but also.to draw in ones from the past. Enjoy!

OMG, what a roller coaster of a ride. I have been a huge fan of Giulia’s since the beginning of this series and have loved everyone of the Reed Security men and their stories. This was no exception. True to her form of writing, there’s so much going on all the time. Never a dull moment with the Reed Security family. Plenty of humor, lots of angst, steamy romance, a rebellious teenager, overprotective father, rape, and heartbreak and devastation and murder. Such an emotional read. My heart broke for Becky when Coop turned on her so viciously. I wanted to smack him. Then when Becky is attacked so viciously and left for dead, Coop realized how awful he had been and how deeply her truly loved her. I loved it and don’t want this series to end..
