Autumn on the Maine coast is stunning, which brings the tourists out in droves. My restaurant, the Little Dog Diner, is teeming with them, thanks to the locally famous fall festival.Usually that’s a great thing… this year, however, the discovery of a dead body puts a damper on business awfully fast.Add to that, the fact that the victim had a vendetta against almost every small business owner in … business owner in town, and now I’ve landed right in the middle of the very long and tedious suspect list.
Looks like it’s time to toss my apron aside and don the detective hat once more. Thankfully, Pip is more than ready to assist in this one, because if I didn’t get to the bottom of this chaos quickly, it could be me getting cooked!

Little Dog Diner is up for business of the year, but the woman who is picketing the businesses in Blueberry Bay ends up dead. Dani is now on the suspect list along with three other business owners. AJ wants to give Maggie a surprise birthday party, and infringes on Dani to get Maggie to the party. It’s more mayhem and fun in Blueberry Bay with a dead body at the center of it all. This story is enjoyable as the rest, with one difference. Dani could be next on the murder’s hit list.
It’s Autumn on the Maine coast and tourists have come to town as it’s a beautiful time of year. There’s also a woman protesting who seems to have a vendetta against the small businesses. When Dani and Pip find the woman’s body, the list of suspects is long and it includes Dani. So Dani once again gets involved in a murder investigation as she sets out to find the killer before she becomes the next victim.
I’m really enjoying this series and this book is no exception. It’s well-written with well-rounded characters whom you’ll love getting to know. I laughed out loud in places and teared up in others. I’m eager to read the next book. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.
Another interesting, fun story in this series. There is so much action and drama in this story that you just can’t wait to see what happens next.
The Books are full of laugh out loud moments, great mystery and a bit of romance.
I received this book free and this is an honest and voluntary review.
Talk about a set up. So many choices of a guilty party to choose from. John, Larry, Brent, Kyle, his father, Marcus or maybe Dani, Rose or even Lily?
Pick up a copy and follow the gang through Blueberry Bay, Little Dog Diner and see how many Lobster Trash Traps you can find.
When I am ready for a light hearted read that makes me smile and laugh I know this is the series for me. Nothing is better than a dog and their human jumping into the middle of a murder mystery to get things solved so they can resume their normal lives and be happy. If you havent read any of these stories grab your copy today and be ready to laugh and smile til the very last page. Sweet Promise Press sure knows how to pick the perfect read to lighten my day.
A Best Business Award, an environment activist fighting with Misty Harbor’s business, a surprise birthday party…Dani is very busy this weekend but when she finds Willemina Joy’s body inside the Savoury Soup & Sandwich Café everything is going to become a dangerous mess.
This is pretty good. The pace starts out kind of slow I think because there are some many suspects but it eventually picks up the pace and ends with a two-fold bang. I like Dani, she’s always in the middle and tries so hard to help, without Pip she would be totally clueless. Love the heart-warming surprise ending. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
It is good to return to Misty Harbor and Little Dog Diner. Who knew that owning a diner could put your life in danger, repeatedly? Emmie Lyn has written another story that keeps you reading to find out who is the villain. I love the characters she develops, both 2 legged and 4 legged ones. I enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one.
Dani is confident she will be awarded the title of best restaurent in Blueberry Bay. But she discovers a dead body in another establishment. So she has to figure out the murderer with Pip’s help, of course before the award is announced. I thought there would be a wedding in this next book but not yet. Can’t wait for the next book to solve that mystery. I received an ARC. This is my honest, voluntary opinion.
Another interesting, fun story in the Little Dog Diner series with Dani Mackenzie and her cute terrier, Pip and Dani’s grandmother, Rose. I liked that this one is loaded with mystery and loads of suspects to keep you guessing as to who the murderer was. I also liked the other cats and dog in the story and the cute trash can idea. Even though these stories seem short it is because they are so action packed you find yourself quickly turning the pages to find more information or more suspects to rule out. I really like the series and the Maine setting. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I really enjoyed Cooking Up Chaos. The story is well-written, it moves along at a good pace, the main characters are likable, and there are plenty of twists and turns. There are several viable suspects–all with motive and means. I had the culprit figured out but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment. I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series.
Wonderful story! Amazing characters and kept my interest. A joy to read.
Cooking Up Chaos is another great mystery in this series from Emmie Lyn. This is the best series because I never figure out who did it. In this book almost every business owner is a suspect. There are way too many motives. Pus there is a near hit and run, Lily gets a concussion, and a boat has a fire. I love the main characters in these books and it is fun to see their relationships progress. Ms. Lyn has given us another well written mystery.
This 4th book of the Little Dog Diner series is just as entertaining as all the rest. Dani, Pip and just about everyone in Blueberry Bay are involved in some way with either committing the murder, solving it or trying not to be the next one. And Pip gets to make new friends of the canine and feline variety.
