Cara McCord had a new lease on life. After hearing the news that she was cancer free, the Texas beauty was ready to move forward and live life to the fullest…starting with losing her virginity. There was only one problem, though—the gorgeous blonde’s heart beat for one cowboy alone, and he was someone she knew she could never have. Trace Briggs found the woman of his dreams when he was nine years … nine years old. For years he’d been forced to be a spectator on the sidelines of her life. But now circumstances had changed. The sexy, chiseled cowboy knew the time had come to claim the woman he’d loved since she was in pigtails.
Convincing Cara would take all of his heart, and Trace was ready to put it all on the line. Will Cara finally allow herself to truly live…and love?

One of the most terrible books I have read.
The writing is excellent with lots of great similes and metaphors.
A quick, entertaining book.
Great story about coming back to living post cancer. I really really liked all the characters. The story had a good pace. The characters triggered lots of different emotions. Normally I find myself skimming past sex scenes after the first one … not this time. This author really knows how to write an engaging and titillating sex scene.
Loved the book, made me cry of pure happiness.
A sweet story of friends to lovers, also best friends brother. Intriguing storyline and likable characters with a slow burn.
Have the tissues ready
What a wonderful continuation of the story. Cara is finally doing great with her health. She just wants to feel normal. Destiny and Harmony try setting her up on dates but fail. The one man who she cares for is Trace, Harmony’s brother. Little does she know that he is just in love. They just find out together.
The Wishing Well series is about friends finding their HEA’s. Book 2 is about Cara. Cara was diagnosed with leukemia in her youth but has now received the all clear. She has been in love with her friend, Harmony’s brother Trace. She has never acted on it because she felt he deserved better – someone who wasn’t at risk to get sick again & who could have children.
Trace has always been there for Cara but under the guise of being her best friend’s brother. He would take his sister to see her while she was in the hospital. What Cara didn’t know is that he was biding his time until she was ready. Now that he has a chance, he’s determined not to blow it. Can Trace & Cara admit the truth? Will they find their way to love?
What an emotional roller coaster! This book grabbed my emotions from the beginning & kept a tight hold all the way through! I laughed at Cara’s inability to think straight around Trace! The characters were well developed, three dimensional & very realistic. I felt like they could be living down the road from me! The plot was realistic & easy to follow. The returning characters show how true friends pull together & are there for each other no matter what. This book was about deep emotional connections that survive through time & disease. It was a great emotional journey to read about. Loved it!!
