CONVICTION MEANS NOTHING WHEN YOU’RE DEAD WRONG.
Shannon Taylor takes no prisoners–save the ones she tosses into lockup. Between convicting criminals as an Ash Park district attorney, dealing with her jerk ex-husband (who also happens to be her boss), and caring for her dying brother, Shannon is already stretched thin. So she’s less than thrilled when new evidence from a closed case emerges–evidence suggesting she threw a young mother in jail for a murder she didn’t commit.
Shannon knows the girl is hiding something. But whatever the secret, it is even more compelling than the hope of freedom–the girl won’t talk.
When Shannon becomes the target of a series of cryptic and bloody warnings, she must find a way to protect everyone she holds dear. Will her persistence free an innocent woman? Or will her pursuit of the truth turn her family into helpless targets in a madman’s game?
Conviction runs deep. Courage runs deeper. And nothing in Ash Park is as it seems.
Conviction is the wildly provocative second novel in Ash Park series by bestselling author Meghan O’Flynn. If you’re a fan of J.D.Robb, Jennifer McMahon, or Laura Lippman, the Ash Park series is for you!

Conviction was just as captivated as the previous book in this series! I am so into these books, I just want to lock the doors, turn off the phone and do nothing but read for days. I love the mystery and trying to figure out the whodunit, which I admit I once again did not figure out on my own. This book had me all twisted up, and like the book before it, showed there’s badness in almost everyone. Doesn’t mean they’re guilty of that particular crime. I loved this book, am loving the characters, and the messed up area they live in. I can’t wait to read more.
Conviction: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2)
By Meghan O’Flynn
Conviction is book two in the Ash Park series by Meghan O’Flynn. For those who like to read thrillers this will be another hit for you. Nothing is missing and has everything you need to make an enjoyable book. I wouldn’t recommend starting with book two, as I feel you will miss out on a lot of history. As with book one this is another book that will have you on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what will happen next. Just when you think you have the storyline worked out something else happens and you will realize you really have no clue. Anyway, this book is full of danger, drama and it will give you chills in some places. Even though this series scares the heck out of sometimes I do really recommend this series.
Conviction: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2) by Meghan O’Flynn
An enticing read that I could not put down! This book can be read as a standalone. Shannon Taylor is good at what she does but when she mistakenly puts an innocent mother away things begin happening. She already has a lot on her plate with her brother but now she is being targeted by someone else. A little romance also blossoms for her in this novel. Shannon is a very strong female character and I loved following her as she raced against time to figure out who the real killer was. The storyline was also easy to follow and full of twists that made it more interesting. I absolutely loved it and can easily say this is a 5 star book.
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn, part of the Ash Park series of books, is an equally thrilling story. You don’t even have to have read the previous book to understand this one, which is a bonus. This mystery will leave the reader guessing until the very last page. It’s full of twists and turns. This is a story that does not disappoint.
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn is a four star novel. This is also the second book in the Ash Park series. It can be read as a standalone. We get to know some of the characters in the first novel, but not the storyline. Shannon Taylor is a prosecutor and her life is not all it is cracked up to be. She has lots of responsibilities taking care of her brother who is sick. She also has to put up with her ex-husband as her boss. She knows that some convictions feel better than others, but there is one that keeps coming back to haunt her. She can’t get the thought out of her head that this woman might not have been guilty of murder. How could she deal if she learns that she put away a young mother who has innocent? When new clues start making their way to the surface, she knows that she has let a killer loose. Now she has to choose to keep her family safe or right the wrongs she has done to this woman and her daughter.
Conviction: An Ash Park Novel Volume 2 By Meghan O’Flynn. This is the 2nd installment of the Ash Park series and I loved this even more than the first one, Famished. Shannon Taylor is a DA, whose jerky ex is her boss. She loves her job and will do almost anything to get a Conviction. On this particular case she’s afraid she may have put the wrong woman in jail and Detective Petrotsky is determined to let her know she did. On top of knowing there is more to this case than what meets the eye she also has personal issues with the fact that her dear brother is dying and she’s trying to be there for him and her niece. These books are such fast reads because they suck you in and you won’t be able to put it down. I love them and can’t wait for the 3rd!
4 Stars
Conviction is the second instalment in the gripping Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. I am really enjoying this series, as it has all the elements required to make it a great thriller. This second book could be read as a standalone, but as it has recurring characters, and some backstory from the first book- I really recommend reading book one before embarking on this one, so you get the entire picture and the ‘complete’ experience. The story is quite suspenseful, and the author did a great job of creating tension and building anticipation. I was trying to pick up any clues and piece the puzzle together to figure out what was happening and solve the mystery.
Ms. O’Flynn has woven a compelling story, full of interconnected details, multiple layers, intrigue, danger, mystery, drama, thrills, and chills. She kept me guessing the whole way through. Conviction is set about a year after Famished and we get to catch up with Shannon Taylor, Eddie Petrosky, Curtis Morrison and a few other characters who we met in book #1. Ms. O’Flynn gave this story a flavour all its own- and it’s a fantastic follow up to Famished.
I can’t wait to dive into book #3!
Thank you, Ms. Flynn!!!
Conviction: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2)
By Meghan O’Flynn
This book is so dark, rich, and intriguing!! As soon as I started reading I couldn’t put it down!! I read the first book Famished and I was looking forward to read this one and after reading this one it is now my favorite. There is so much emotion coming from these characters that you can feel it jumping off the pages. This story had me guessing the whole time. I couldn’t put it down because I needed to know who did it??? Every time I thought I had a good grasp on what happened I found out I was completely wrong. I loved how the author brought me into this dark story and made me think. This story was exceptionally written and I can’t wait to read the book in this series!!!
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn is the second book in the Ash Park series. This focuses on District Attorney Shannon Taylor who is strong in her convictions. This book is hard to put down and this says a lot because many do not keep me on the edge of my seat. I was involved in all the twists and turns. The characters are well written and developed. I had read the first book and was taken in by the writing. This second book did not disappoint. I look forward to reading further in the series.
Conviction (Ash Park #2)

Another fantastic read from Meghan O’Flynn, the story was well written and full of excitement and action. I love that the storyline is both complex but easy to follow and the characters are compelling and captivating. One of my favourite things about this story and the author (as well as the things above) is how well she conceals plot twists, they just appear when you least expect them and I never predicted what was going to happen. I liked Shannon I thought she was a very strong female lead.
I loved reading this book and the great chilling story that the author created. Lovers of mysteries, thrillers or suspense stories will absolutely love this story and I highly recommend it!
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn
5-stars
Conviction is another must read book by Meghan O’Flynn. It’s the second book in the Ash Park series. Though it can be read as a standalone I would suggest reading book 1 first in order to get all of the character introductions. Just like the first one I found myself completely captivated by this storyline. I had so many questions from the start that I couldn’t bring myself to put it down, I just had to figure it all out.
This book is intriguing, dark, detailed, riveting and so suspenseful. Meghan is truly a phenomenal author, she creates these incredibly dark worlds and questionable characters along with storylines that will have you guessing the whole way through. I love how just when I think I have it all figured out something new is added which has me questioning everything all over again.
I would absolutely recommend this book and series to anyone looking for their next suspenseful crime read!
Conviction An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2) by Meghan O’Flynn is another winner in this thriller series. The angst, the tension, the lies, the fear and the loss is so strong that you will find yourself creeping closer to the edge of your seat and your shoulders tensing with each passing page. The emotions this story provoke are at times overwhelming and the tears flow but you are so glued to the story and what is happening that you can’t break away. If Meghan makes you feel like you are in the story and it is up to you to work out what is going on but don’t be fooled because what you thought you knew may not be as it seems. This is one book that needs to be read with a good strong drink. Good work Meghan.
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn
4 Stars!!!!
This is the second book in this series and I find that even though it is not my go to genre that I did enjoy reading it. The author has a very spine chilling way of writing that is quite unique. I found that she draws you into the intrigue and gets your imagination running. You find yourself unable to stop reading as you want to see what will happen.
I found that you found yourself on an emotional rollercoaster as the story began to unfold. I was quite engrossed in this book as I could feel the sense of injustice. You can feel the emotions of the characters as the story plays out and that you just want all the wrongs to be righted and justice to be served. You can feel the sinister undertone in the book and you can’t help but keep reading
to see how it will all turn out. I would definitely read more from this author in the future.
Conviction (Ash Park #2)
By Meghan O’Flynn
Rated 5 stars!!
Do you like mystery, drama, suspense and a “little” romance?? If so than Quick…STOP what you are doing and get this book!!! Seriously!! This is one of the best stories I have read in a while! I love, love, love it! I could hardly put this down and read it very quickly! It’s a heart racing “who done it”?And I CAN NOT figure it out!! I am sitting here flabbergasted over this book. The things that happened in the beginning and all throughout kept my mind whirling. Was it him?? Was it her?? What about them?? Dang! Wrong again!!
We are introduced Shannon Taylor who is a lawyer. She gets a crazy case and a couple Detectives (Petrosky and Morrison) from the last book show up to irritate her and have her questioning her job. As the case moves forward we get to know more about Shannon, Petrosky and Morrison. Which is great! I loved getting to know more about these three. This story changed me and these three monumentally. Morrison?!? Stay strong my friend!
Now there is a bunch of characters in here. By far the most involved with the story were Alex and her brother-Derry. OMG!….Her brother!! The things that man says! They are shocking and to the point. I loved how candid he is and his love for family.
i enjoyed this so much more than Famished which is the first book in the series. This is a wild roller coaster. While this is part of a series you can read this as a stand alone. Many feelings were evoked by the beautiful words from this author. I loved it and I have a feeling what is going to happen in the next book so I am excited to start it but yet leery as well. This quote is in this book and it fits it perfectly!
“Endings are always the hardest”
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn is the second book in the Ash Park series. This book can be read as a stand-alone.
Shannon believes she fights the good fight. As a district attorney she relishes in throwing people into jail who deserve it. It is the only constant in her life that is stretched thin and only getting worse.
With an ex husband causing her hell and a brother who she has to care for, Shannon cannot handle one more thing on her plate.
However when she receives evidence that she might have made a mistake – that she might have locked up an innocent mother – she feels things begin to fall. But what can you do if the person won’t reveal what they are hiding? And what can you do when you find yourself in the middle of something much bigger?
As with the first book I found this one to be so interesting. I couldn’t wait to find out what secret was being hidden, and it was great trying to guess it first. The characters were as engaging and had such depth to them. This is clearly going to be a very good series and one I am fully enjoying.
This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. This book is full of action, suspense, mystery and it makes you question survival and courage, sometimes things aren’t what they appear to be. I enjoyed the characters in this book and how they are relateable. They made me feel as if I was right there with them. They took me on a journey of twists and turns that left me sitting on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this book.
O’Flynn continues her series with this second installment. She continues to write a provoking tale, developing emotionally charged and thoroughly relatable characters. This gritty whodunit kept me guessing page after page. I appreciate how well written this book was and that I didn’t have all of the pieces or answers right away. I stepped into these pages and felt the emotions as the journey unfolded. Well written and would definitely recommend.
Conviction: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2)
By: Meghan O’Flynn
5 out of 5 stars
The story Conviction: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2) by Meghan O’Flynn is a thrilling book that I loved reading. It is a story that has enough drama and suspense that I found myself turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. Reading this book is sometimes like trying to work with a puzzle. I was trying to fit the pieces together along with the characters. One of the stories main characters is Shannon Taylor. At first, I wasn’t really sure what to think about her. She is a character that can seem to be a bit harsh when interacting with others. I didn’t have to get far into the story when my view of her changed and she became someone I could empathize with. I found myself caring what happens to her as she finds herself overwhelmed with what she is going through. She has those that she loves and cares about which she will protect when needed. When new evidence turns up in a case she had thought she has closed she finds herself first fighting that it means anything. When she starts to receive warnings, things start to add up to more than just coincidence. Is the new evidence that has been uncovered the key to setting a young woman free? How much danger are Shannon and those she loves in because of what has been discovered? Who can she truly trust? Read this story to find out how it all ends up. I enjoyed reading this story just as much as the first one. There are characters in this book that are brought forward from the first story and also new ones. It is exciting to read about how each one fits into the plot and I also enjoyed reading about their interactions with Shannon. This is a wonderfully written story that kept me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend reading it.
This entire series is a must read!
Excellent read. I highly recommend
