CONVICTION MEANS NOTHING WHEN YOU’RE DEAD WRONG.
Shannon Taylor takes no prisoners–save the ones she tosses into lockup. Between convicting criminals as an Ash Park district attorney, dealing with her jerk ex-husband (who also happens to be her boss), and caring for her dying brother, Shannon is already stretched thin. So she’s less than thrilled when new evidence from a closed case emerges–evidence suggesting she threw a young mother in jail for a murder she didn’t commit.
Shannon knows the girl is hiding something. But whatever the secret, it is even more compelling than the hope of freedom–the girl won’t talk.
When Shannon becomes the target of a series of cryptic and bloody warnings, she must find a way to protect everyone she holds dear. Will her persistence free an innocent woman? Or will her pursuit of the truth turn her family into helpless targets in a madman’s game?
Conviction runs deep. Courage runs deeper. And nothing in Ash Park is as it seems.
Conviction is the wildly provocative second novel in Ash Park series by bestselling author Meghan O’Flynn. If you’re a fan of J.D.Robb, Jennifer McMahon, or Laura Lippman, the Ash Park series is for you!

Conviction is the second book in Meghan O’Flynn’s Ash Park series that takes place in the run down area of Detroit. It could be read as a standalone but there is a backstory and characters that are present throughout the series.
You can see how the writer has gotten deeper into the Ash Park world, the story is complex and the characters have layers, you learn more about them and it makes you understand where they come from and why they act the way they do. All of them are like us – dark and light – and it is up to them how they choose.
We have Petrosky and Morrison with Shannon Taylor from the prosecutor’s office and all of them have their doubts regarding the ‘guilty’ verdict that the young woman Ashley Johnson received. And the doubts grow stronger when Shannon gest stalked and her family gets harassed … and there is a galore of suspects … take your pick! At the same time, the story is much more than just trying to find out who the killer is … I am looking forward to the next story to see where the writer takes us …
And the mystery of Ash Park continues!! This series must be read in order
This part of the story follows the Prosecuting Attorney Shannon Taylor. She is a hard woman. Burned by her cheating ex husband who happens to be her boss. She’s tough and has more guys friends than girlfriends. She is beginning to question what she believes is the truth. She loves her family. And someone is trying to get her to quit.
Then there’s death. Death of the bad guys, death of the people who know too much, and even death of loved ones. It’s the loved one’s deaths that make this story feel too much like reality and really brings on the tears. But having a support system, just that one person to lean on, truly helps. Shannon Taylor has that with her best friend, Curt Morrison. He’s also a detective. He’s Petrosky’s partner, from book one.
Conviction has a little of everything, the murdering psychos, a little romance, and all the feelings that go with them. This author really keeps me entertained with the story line, as I really never know who the murderer is or what is going to happen next.
I enjoyed this story and can not wait to read the next in this series!
Conviction: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 2 by Meghan O’Flynn
4 out of 5 Stars
This book is intense. If there was ever a white-knuckled thriller, this book would be in the running. I could not turn the pages fast enough on this book. Shannon Taylor is the main character for this book and lord have mercy is she a powerhouse. Being a District Attorney for her city means that she has to be tough as nails and when she has to deal with the lowest of the low, she is as tough as they come, except when it evidence shows that she may have put a young mother in jail for a murder that she didn’t commit. That will crack the edges of even the hardest hearts.
Shannon knows the girls is hiding something but she won’t say what, or who it is and Shannon herself becomes the victim/target of warnings and targeted messages. Shannon has to race against the clock to protect herself and to right the wrong she has done by putting the right person behind bars, she just isn’t sure if she will be put into the ground first.
Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, secondary emotions and strong details. I loved every second of this book. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book none the less. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.
Edit
Conviction (Ash Park #2) by Meghan O’Flynn was just as, no, it was more dark and thrilling then the last book. I didn’t think it was possible, but this series is fast becoming an obsession.
The second book in the Ash Park series, we are once again tossed into the dark underbelly of Ash Park, this time following Shannon Taylor, Ash Park district attorney. We met he in the last book, and I didn’t know too much about her, only that I liked her and having this story centered around her was quite a thriller treat.
Shannon is a fierce character, she is the attorney you want on your side, and would do anything to never be on her bad side. She’s a strong character, and one that I believe was written in a real, complex way that made you connect with her. She isn’t perfect, and is trying to do her best to put the baddies away, while wondering if she made a life changing mistake years ago.
I will tell you that this book, was wow. The mystery, the clues and the plot twist. I didn’t see it coming, and I was shocked. Again Meghen played with our hearts, twisted our emotions and lead us/me astray. Nothing was wasted, even the subplots. Having such multi-layered writing, added to the complexity of this story and, it made for such a big polt bomb, that I had to put the book down just to process.
This series is just everything I didn’t know I wanted, and I can’t stop reading. As I said, I’m a little obsessed, and I think my dreams are going to be a little nightmarish for a few nights. So yes, I give this book my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.
Happy Reading

Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn is the second book in her new series, Ash Park Series, and this is another great read! Continuing the story of Detectives Petrosky and Morrison, who have a very unique relationship. Introducing Shannon Taylor, lawyer, who is saddled with a crazy case and then having to deal with Petrosky and Morrison. The closer that this trio gets, the harder it is for them to not rub each other the wrong way, but the case is getting too deep for either of them to go it alone. The dynamics between these guys was so great getting to watch it all unfold, along with the mystery of this case and the sprinklings of romance only top it all off with a cherry. Once I started this series I knew that I needed to see it out, because I couldn’t have put it down if I tried. This book is a heart racing, pulse pounding thriller, with allot of who dun its and edge of your seat sitting. Each of the supporting characters only served to compliment these main characters and it was great to really see them all play together throughout the story. I couldn’t wait to see where this story went, who dun it, and see the relationships develop. If you are looking for a wild roller coaster ride of book that is sure to pull you in from the very beginning, than this is the book for you. Because this is a part of a series, I highly recommend reading it in series order! O’Flynn is a great author and she can pull you into her stories effortlessly. I can’t wait to see how this story turns out in the next book!
This book was amazing! It was beautifully constructed!! I couldn’t put it down and it left me wanting more at the end! This book was mysterious and fast paced!! I love all the twists and turns as you read the book. You want to see what’s around every corner!!! You can tell the authors passion and want to just read more and more! Great book! Where is the next one?!? I need more to read!

This is the second book in this series, and what a book!
I wasn’t a huge fan of book 1 but this book took me on a ride I didn’t want to finish.
Shannon is a district attorney and may have just put the wrong person in jail.
The twists and turns in this story were surprising and i didn’t see them coming.
This is a must read!
This was an amazing book! 100% Approved! Conviction is the second book in the Ash Park series written by Meghan O’Flynn. This book follows Shannon Miller who is the Assistant District Attorney for Ash Park and Curt Morrison, who is the detective in the Ash Park Police Department. They started out as best friends, which ultimately lead to the HEA they found themselves in the end. However, this book focuses on Shannon and her family. There is a lot of depth to Shannon that we didn’t know about in the first book. It seems she’s not so hardnosed after all. Curt was always interested in Shannon but let her do her thing until she was ready for him. In the interim there is a killer out there targeting Shannon. You wouldn’t believe who it ends up being! This book is so well written! A complete emotional rollercoaster to which you need lots and lots of tissues. There are so many twists and turns that you don’t see anything coming. I had to remind myself throughout this book that there is a romantic underlining. It had all the suspense of a great murder mystery! I loved every minute of it! Now, there is only one sex scene and it was amazingly perfect! It didn’t need another scene. I also loved that we learned more and more about Curt’s partner Detective Petrosky. His character is really coming through and you really are starting to understand him more. I’m so glad that I started this series and I cannot wait to finish reading all the other books!
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn us the second book in the Ash Park Series, and let me tell you, this book really got to me on many levels. I was able to really identify with the lead in this book which is something I love when I read a book. Meghan really writes powerful books with strong, passionate characters, mystery to keep you reading more and more, and plots that are very believable. What I found very appealing is the way the author kept me guessing ALLL OF THE TIME! It what made me want to read more and more and get lost in the story.
Shannon, loves her job and loves getting crime off the streets of Ash Park. Being the Ash Park district attorney, it’s her job that she has a passion for. When evidence crosses her desk, showing someone she has convicted of a crime she may not have committed, she isn’t very happy. The girl convicted isn’t telling anything, and Shannon for sure knows she is hiding something but even with freedom hanging in front of her she can’t get her to talk. When Shannon is subjected to heinous messages, she knows what she has to do and again Ash Park is NOTHING As it seems!
Conviction
An Ash Park Novel
By Meghan O’Flynn
This is a suspenseful rollercoaster of so many emotions. There is a romance in the story, but the other side of the story is so much more.
Shannon is a district attorney, working for her ex husband. When she wrongfully convicts the wrong woman. Things just feel wrong. Her husband told her to drop it. What’s done is done. Being the woman Shannon is, she needs to make things right. But with everything, doing what’s right has its consequences. This made be the fight of her life. I never expected the outcome!
Meghan O’Flynn had me on the edge of my seat on page one. Her story is a non stop ride of epic proportions. I have never cried so hard, while reading a book. This one just kept bring the intrigue. I could not put it down. Okay I put it down at 3:30 in the morning. Then I sat and pondered over what I had just read. Cried a little more, then fist pumped at Shannons bravery and strength. Such a great story. If you like suspenseful stories this one’s for you. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn is the second book int eh The Ash Park series. The book is a great mystery novel that conjures up a great suspense story and draws you into the book from the first chapter.
The main character Shannon is an intelligent, driven woman who is good at her job as a District Attorney, she has difficult responsibilities in her life but with a pain in the ass ex husband being her boss and a new case just landed she has her hands full.
As the case goes on Shannon has a feeling something that something is just not right with the woman’s story and tries to get to the bottom of it, but as the story develops has Shannon bitten off more than she can handle.
I loved the was this story twists and turns, the characters are rich and well developed and the writing is brilliant. The story is written in the POV of Shannon and with some difficult decisions she has to make along the way have you gripped and I read this story in one sitting. The twists are great and I did not see the end coming which is always great to have a shock moment in a thriller.
This is the first book I have read by this author and will be downloading the others in this series.

Conviction :An Ash Park Novel (volume 2) by Meghan O’Flynn is the second book in the An Ash Park series and although it could be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the first book in this series as well . Get ready to be taken on a journey with some twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I have enjoyed this series so far and I can’t wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this book especially if you want to know what happens next.
Conviction An Ash Parker novel by Meghan O’Flynn
Four Stars
This story was wild. Murder, mystery and a lot of suspense. The author really knew how to hook you with trying to solve these cases. Then bam it’s someone so unexpected. There is always a pattern to books. The intro where we learn about the characters. The middle where the good stuff happens like a break up. Then finally the end where we learn the truth or the couple ends up happily ever after. This story had all that plus more. It was not easy trying to guess who the killer was. The author did a really good job on the mystery side. The villain in this story was so well hidden that as the main character learned the truth I was shocked as well. The emotions were well written and you could feel the characters pain. I felt Shanny’s pain. The loss, the confusing and the need to be loved. I definitely related to some of her issues. No one wants to be alone and she struggled with failure. The author has a great cast of characters here with different stories I hope we get to explore.

Conviction it the second book in the Ash Park series by Meghan O’Flynn. This series can be read as a standalone, but there are reaccuring characters from Ms O’Flynns first book. The series has gotten off to a wonderful start and I can’t wait to read what is coming next in this series. This book drew me in from the very first page,it was full of mystery and suspense. I love a story where I really don’t know who the killer is until the very end, and this book provided that. Ms. O’Flynn weaves tale of lies and deception. Shannon Taylor is a fascinating character, she is a District Attorney who is all about getting convictions even if the people she is putting away are innocent. She takes care of her family and it’s stress on herself to succeed. When the detectives from the first book come to talk to her and convince her she may have made a mistake she feels remorse, but now someone is leaving her threats. Will she be able to find out the truth of the situation before it is too late? I highly recommend this book, series and author and look forward to read whatever comes next.
I really shouldn’t be surprised by anything that Meghan O’Flynn writes, but I am. She amazes me with every book that I pick up.
Conviction – the 2nd book in the Ash Park Series, and let me say that I was completely stunned by the material, writing style and characters. Meghan does an amazing job of keeping her readers at the edge of their seat, wondering with suspense as to what is going to happen. I couldn’t help but feel on edge, because the entire time that I was reading the book, I kept hoping that Shannon would be okay.
I’m glad that they had the opportunity to read this book, as the first one captivated me with everything that it offered. I can’t wait to read more books by her!
Conviction was a good 4 star read.
We start with the prologue where Shannon is in court prosecuting Ashley, a woman who is accused of killing her drug dealer boyfriend. This part is in Ashley’s POV. Did she really do it? What’s going to happen to her baby?
Shannon is proud that she got a conviction in her case, but was she really the killer? Ashley’s lawyer is convinced she didn’t do it and is determined to find the truth. When some leads come in on a case that she thought was closed, things start to take some interesting twists. Shannon also finds herself in danger.
There were so many people that could be guilty my head was spinning and totally not who I thought when we finally get the answer. There were so many great characters, some likable some hateable. My heart went out to Ashley and what she was put through. This was a great edge of your seat read that pulled me right in. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Conviction: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2) By Meghan O’Flynn. If you like playing the guessing game in a suspense novel get this story now. This story could be read as a standalone without much confusion but I recommend reading them in order to get a fuller picture. This author just knows how to drag readers into the story and keep them on the edge of our seats. I appreciate the attention to detail the author takes. Each time I thought I had something figured out another twist would come and once again I’d be grappling for the answers. Each character brings something unique to the storyline and I enjoyed each of them. I’m a big fan of an author who can keep me on my toes and give me chills while I read. I can’t wait to read more by this author. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great new story.
Conviction is the second installment in the Ash Park Novels from Meghan O’Flynn. She has quickly become my favorite thriller writer and one-click go to author for this genera. I have never been disappointed with a novel of hers and once again she has managed to top the bar she set with her last. Conviction took me on a riveting, perplexing, and hair-raising journey that I never wanted to end. I absolutely adore Meghan’s knack for making it nearly impossible to figure out the twist before it happens. I am known for being the one that figures out the movie twenty minutes in, and same for most books like this, but never with Meghan’s. I am 80% of the time wrong, and I LOVE it!
Like I said before, this is the second installment in her Ash Park novels. They could be read as standalones, but I would highly recommend that you read them in order. There are a lot of reoccurring characters that make up the team that do the investigations and so forth. I find it would be a travesty to really divulge much of anything else about the plot because I just can’t ruin this book for you. Curl up with your favorite blanket in a comfy spot. Set the mood and settle in for a dark adventure you are sure to enjoy in one sitting. Thanks Meghan O’Flynn for another outstanding thrill!
Conviction: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn is the second installment of the Ash Park Series. This can be a standalone book but there are some characters in her first book, Famished. O’Flynn has created fully developed characters that you love to hate. The story is about Shannon Taylor. Eddie Petrosky, and Curtis Morrison (of course there are other characters). This story is a pile of clues that you think you have seen then BAM there is a twist that you did not see. The pace of the story is fast pace and I know I missed a couple of clues. I found myself wanting to reread it now that I have read it once and see where I may have missed a clue or two. The range of emotions are great, but it is well worth it.
Wowzer i tell you something this is a brilliant novel one that had me gripping the edge of my seat and fully engrossed in the storyline i couldn’t pull myself away! The author manages to pull you into their world picturing and feeling what is going on it’s a story I’ll definitely read again. I also found myself on a emotional rollercoaster with this one with all the mystery, twist and turns i honestly can’t say anything negative about this novel!
