I fell in love with Liam only to be left shattered into a million pieces. Again. The idea of being without him cripples me but the reality is, he’s gone.He doesn’t understand and I can’t make him. If only he’d see the conviction behind my words—then he’d still be here.
OMG, what an emotional roller coaster ride. This book picks up where Consolation ended and takes the reader through the trials and turmoil that Natalie and Liam have to face with the return of Natalie’s husband.
As Natalie tries to decide what is right for her and her daughter, her heart wants Liam. But Liam backs away to give Natalie time to decide what she wants. Arron thinks he will just come back home to his wife and daughter, that nothing changed. But when Natalie tells him of things she learned while she thought he was dead, he wonders if his marriage can be saved.
This duet is one filled with heartbreak, pain, yearning, longing, and finally love to last forever. Author Corinne Michaels has a way to draw the reader into each story, rip your heart out, stomp on it, and in the end put it back together and it is better than ever.
This is a duet so I highly recommend reading Consolation first because you don’t want to miss anything in this story.
A stunning conclusion to Consolation. Beautifully written and emotional. I laughed, cried, felt the joy and every ounce of pain. From the heart-stopping and soul-shattering to the swoon-worthy and breathtaking moments. The emotions bled from the pages. A powerful and poignant story delivered with so much heart and soul that that I fell deeper in love with the characters and this story with each turn of the page. An epic love story!
Absolutely love Corrine Michaels stories and this one was very good!
This book had me cursing and muttering at work! I was so mad at all 3 of them! I kept going between being mad to infuriated to sad and feeling sorry….. ALL THE FEELS!!!! But it had the most beautiful ending! This was such an amazing duet! I can’t believe I waited so long to read it.
This was okay. Honestly, while I liked Liam, I didn’t like the female lead much. And it’s just seriously depressing.
Once again, the book is closed and my tissue box is empty. These characters—when they lose, I lose. When they win, we all do.
So well done.
I think I get the hype now. This was an outstanding duet and it really put me through the wringer. To go on this journey with Sparkles and Dreamboat, it really did mean a whole lot to me and I felt a lot of feelings. I laughed, I cried and I adored this duet with my whole heart. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series.
Goodness.. an emotional roller coaster ride to go on. What a tangle web that was weaved? Liam and Natalie prove that their love is unconditional and unbreakable no matter what happened. I did have some heartbreaking feelings for Aaron but come on.. he cheated. I know you are not supposed to think of the what ifs but if honestly, what if he didn’t “die”? Natalie had every right to be upset with him. This is coming from some one who was cheated on which lead to a child being involved. I had to walk away. The betrayal is just too much to deal with, there is no coming back from that. This story pulled at all my heartstrings. Liam is not a consolation prize, he is the prize.
I am so happy that Natalie got the love that she always deserved. Well done Ms. Michaels. This was a phenomenal story.
Whew. What an emotional roller coaster this book takes you on.
I don’t have any experience with the military or navy so I don’t have a frame of reference to relate to. However, Corinne Michaels definitely gave me a glimpse into what life is like for the spouses and children of the people who serve. It’s heart-wrenching to read about Aaron, Liam, and the other member’s lives and experiences.
I had to stop the book partway through to go and meet a friend. On my drive there and back I was trying to predict what would happen. I was partly right with my guesses, but I also didn’t see a lot of the events coming.
One thing that really made me think was how we communicate with people. This was something that I started thinking about with Jackson and Catherine’s story and how it took them so long to get it right. In this duet, Liam doesn’t let Natalie get away with saying ‘I’m fine.’ Liam recognizes this response is hollow and untruthful. I really loved that Liam or Natalie could say ‘I need a minute’ and the other person would recognize that the person wasn’t giving up, but just sorting their thoughts.
I’m excited to read Mark and Quinn’s stories!
OMG this was epic good. Corinne Michaels is my absolute favorite author. I loved everything from characters to story telling to the situations that they were in. Corinne was at her best with Natalie and Liam. Conviction was perfect ending to their story. I hope to see them again soon. Thank you for writing them.
Omg. If there was ever a book I wanted to curl up and live in, it’s this one! Liam and Natalie were perfect together. This conclusion to their story was amazing. It was emotional and angsty amd just so darn good. My heart hurt for them as they tried to find their way through all their troubles. In true Corinne Michaels fashion, my heart was ripped out and pieced back together. I will definitely be telling everyone to read this book!
What a great ending to this duet.
The audio was very emotional. It will definitely pull on your heartstrings. There were so many twists and turns I did not see coming. It’s a story filled with heartache, loss, betrayal, internal struggle, forgiveness, hope, letting go, fighting for what you want, passion, friendship, starting over and so much love. One I started listening I couldn’t stop.
I thought Corinne Michaels did an amazing job telling this story and the narrators did a beautiful job bringing it to life.
This is the conclusion of Natalie and Liam’s story. Once again Corinne Micheals gives you all of the feels and the HEA. Everything they had to go through only made the HEA worth so much more. There was still some humor among the angst – especially with Mark. I can’t wait to read his story next! Definitely worth the read!
Just like part one of this “Duet”, once I opened this book & started reading, I simply couldn’t put it down. They say you are 85% the last book you read & ok, I’ll admit it… I was a hot, nail-biting ball of angst. It was so good!
So… Aaron is back (as we found out on the last page of the last book) & I absolutely HATED him with a passion like no other. What he went through the past year may have been awful but I just can’t excuse the whole infidelity issue. He was extremely selfish, pathetic & overall… an annoying pain in the a**. I can’t believe that he was really that dense! Sure, I’m glad that everyone recognized that he should be a part of Aarabelle’s life but man… I can’t stand big fat liars!!
Dreamboat aka Liam once again held that “Book Boyfriend Hall of Fame” status. He was so swoon-worthy, so adorably sweet with Aarabelle & so supportive of Natalie. *le sigh* And let me tell you, I loved the one “demand” he made of Natalie towards the end. The way he was able to exert his alpha traits without coming across as an overbearing a** was brilliant!
Would you believe it (c’mon, I know you would)… The b****-tastic Brittany is back! It wasn’t enough for her to rub salt in Natalie’s wounds in Consolation, she had to trot her selfish a** over to her house & do it AGAIN, in Conviction. And this time, Senor D***face aka Aaron was there with her & literally held Natalie in place, making her experience the hurt all over AGAIN! The shining moment in that scene? Natalie’s response to the both of them. So, so happy that she gave them both a piece of her mind! BOOM! B****-tastic Brittany goes down for the count!!
I was incredibly stoked when the Aaron crap settled down because I couldn’t get my FULL-ON Liam & Natalie HEA fast enough. They stayed as strong as they could be with Aaron coming home, through a deployment, some nerve-wracking but exciting news, a death in the family & a couple of awkward interactions in their everyday lives & I LOVED it! Their happily ever after was beautiful & they totally deserved every last bit of it!!
I’m definitely planning on checking out the rest of the books in this series, probably starting off by going back to Jackson’s story, Beloved (The Belonging Duet, #1). And then hopefully, we’ll get more details on this whole sabotage thing in future books because we were kinda left hanging where that was concerned!
Corinne has quickly become a favorite author, a go to author and each time I read one of her books it solidifies why! The conclusion to Liam and Natalie’s story was absolute PERFECTION and worth every second, minute, hour I spent reading. They had to battle through many obstacles but through it all they proved they were meant to be! If you want to read a swoon-worthy, sexy as sin book that will steal your heart and sweep you off your feet then read this breathtaking story!
Such a rollercoaster of a read! This book follows on right where consolation finished. Natalie is so torn from past hurts and now her future is unsure. I couldn’t put it down until It was finished!
If you’ve read Consolation then you know this is one very anticipated book! If you haven’t, go do that now!
OMG The feels! —-> This book was all that, a bag of chips AND a big piece of chocolate cake! Ms. Michaels words shattered my heart a few times, made me laugh, made me cry and sometimes had me seeing red. When an author can make me feel all of those with one book, it’s like hitting the reading jackpot! Cha-Ching! Natalie’s journey wasn’t always pretty but it was her journey to take! I don’t want to go into great detail with this review because it is definitely one you need to read for yourself. I will just say that Ms. Michaels rocked my world! Consolation and Conviction are must reads and not to be missed.
4.5 Stars!
After the ending of Consolation that left us hanging by our fingernails, I was dying to find out what happens in Conviction. I was not disappointed! The story picks up right where it left off and let me tell you, it was quite a rollercoaster ride. Natalie went through the most unimaginable pain and loss and was finally getting her life back on track. Now she’s thrown for a total and complete loop once again. Is her life ever going to get back to some type of normal?
In Consolation we saw Natalie do a tremendous amount of soul searching. She lost her husband, the person she thought was the love of her life. How is she supposed to move on and build a new life? We found out in book 1 that her husband was not who she thought he was and he had done something that most people would say is unforgivable in a marriage. Once that truth came to light Natalie really dug deep and evaluated her life, her marriage, her love for her husband. She found out she could in fact move on, and with someone that she loved in a completely different way than she had her husband.
Now she has to deal with her past which has been thrust straight into her face. But Natalie has become a very strong woman with the help of Liam and she knows exactly what she wants and who she wants in her life. Unfortunately life can be very messy and once again Natalie struggles with feelings that she really doesn’t want to have to deal with but has no choice. All she wants in this world is to move forward with a life with Liam, but she has to deal with Aaron and how to move on from his betrayal. She loves Aaron, but after what he did she knows she can never be with him again as his wife, but Aaron isn’t giving up easily.
Corinne did an excellent job of portraying the raw emotions of dealing with the subject matter. Loss, betrayal, lost love, new love, fear, anger, sadness, she plays every one of these emotions out in vivid detail. I cried way more than I wanted to with this book but I couldn’t help it! It was so real to me, living through each day with Natalie! The book is told from dual point of view and I loved reading Liam’s chapters maybe even a little more than I did Natalie’s.
The journey through this book is sometimes a hard one, wondering how everyone involved is going to come out unscathed, or maybe they won’t? Will Natalie finally find the peace and happiness she’s been searching for and will she end up with the true love of her life? I certainly sat on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading to find out! Kudos to you, Corinne! It was a beautiful, brilliant end to Natalie and Liam’s story!

I absolutely loved this book and this series is just amazing! loved Liam and Natalie together. the journey the author took you on, you couldn’t just only feel all what the couple was going through and not get emotional. I really had tears in my eyes, just wishing for a happy ending! loved it from beginning until end and absolutely worth the read!
Book 2 in the duet- you have to read Consolation before this but so worth it. Amazing!! After the stunning ending of book 1 you are left waiting for the next book…this is a story of a love triangle they both want her, think they can love her better than the other, try to push her to pick them. But Natalie makes her choice right away and both men have their own issues with her decision and each other because they have been best friends all their lives. I love Natalie cant even imagine how I could make the choices and decisions she makes. Incredible set of books and characters- Must Read 🙂
