Book #3 of the bestselling Consequences series:
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes the shocking third book of the Consequences series and the long-awaited, action-packed conclusion of Claire and Tony’s tumultuous relationship.
Stick to your convictions.
Against all odds, Claire and Tony have found their way back to one another, but it doesn’t mean a happy … but it doesn’t mean a happy ever after. Not even close. Just when they seemed to have it all—love, respect, and the promise of a family—the game master exposes the truth and Claire’s world once again unravels. With old convictions wavering and past transgressions coming to light, the cards have changed and luck is not in the deck for Claire and Tony.
Abandon all assumptions.
Lost in a constant nightmare, who will save Claire from her past? From herself? Everyone has a hand to play, and now they’re playing for keeps. Everything known to be true is questioned. Motives are explained. The past is once again unearthed, and this time, secrets lurk between dreams and reality, between the past and the present.
The clock is ticking.
Time is running out on Claire…on Tony…on their happy ever after. When the final cards are played, will their unconventional love trump the opposition?
In the end, some will discover their bets were too high, and all will learn the most crucial lesson—there are always consequences for the truth.
You must stick to your conviction, but be ready to abandon your assumptions. –Denis Waitley

I received an arc and am voluntarily leaving a review. Holy sh**!! This book blew me away. This is a continuation of Claire and Tony’s story and will take you through the journey of drama, danger, misery, regret, and lastly love. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering why Claire can love Tony, and as Tony redeems himself you will be a fan of his. I cant say enough good things about this book and the series. Read it NOW!!!!!!
Turns & twists & turmoil oh my! This book reminds my of the wicked witch, I’ll get you my pretty and your little dog too! Floving this woman
Where to start..I had so many mixed emotion before ever starting Convicted.. I wanted a HEA but I didn’t want the story to end.. Because my HEA ending may be different then Aleatha or another reader for that matter… I loved this book, this story was so full of emotions.. One minute I was laughing from Claire’s smart mouth and Tony’s little comments and the next my heart stopped. I could believe Aleatha did that.. Why? Then she would bring you back from the edge and give you hope.. Only to pulled you back to the edge.. I love this story but I am sadden it has ended but I am so excited to know Behind His Eyes will be here soon… I want more Tony, Claire but I want more background and future of Phil, Harry, Courtney, Brent and Claire’s family.. Thank you for this great story, Aleatha!
I have been left seriously breathless by this amazing series! I have the biggest book hangover ever! I have read in to the early hours of the morning having very little regard for sleep. This book has literally taken my breath away. I don’t even think I can review it, I have no idea where to start! I have never read a book that even comes close to the plot twists, the turns, the dark secrets. It was a rollercoaster ride from book one right the way through to the end of book three.
“No one can escape the consequences of their actions”! It all started with a vendetta, one man, one women setting off a chain of events that resulted in abduction, abuse both physical and violent, rape and even death.
The characters were complex, we saw a selfish man who started with no compassion, didn’t do love, never apologised, didn’t forgive do a complete 180. Claire became so much stronger, she wasn’t the placid doormat she was portrayed to be in Consequences. I never truly hated Tony, but by the end of book two I felt myself slowly falling in love with him and by the end of book three I was madly in love with him (still had a soft spot for Harry though).
This book far exceeded my expectations, I have put off reading this series for so long that I am completely mad at myself. I have laughed, cried, gasped, help my breath, screamed… no emotion has been left unturned. My heart as been completely and utterly destroyed. My head is still in the book days later.
Great plot, great character development… There’s absolutely nothing I would change about this book. Even the sex scenes were sensual without being graphic. It really did have al the feels.
This series was one hell of a white knuckle ride! Bravo Ms Romig, you completely rocked it!! I can now truly say I’ve been Aleatha’d
4.5 stars!
Truth left us with our jaws hanging open and wondering. Wondering WTH! Well, Convicted kind of starts out that way. You are left a little confused for a short while in the beginning.
Then things start to kick in. Things start to click in place. You are wanting Claire and Tony together… But unsure if the way things are around them if that will happen! You are left asking yourself for a quite a while, why can’t they just get everyone out of their way and just get things the way they should?
Claire has to protect hers. Tony needs to protect what is his. The turmoil that surrounds their circumstances makes it seem almost impossible. All the while, the ones who have pulled things apart and torn their relationship to shreds needs to be brought to justice.
Just when you thought all of the secrets have been laid before you… there are more! The secrets go deeper than we could have thought. Things are going to get hairy before they have a small chance of working themselves out…
Trust is one thing that none of the characters have much of. The lines of what really is going on are so blurred, I almost thought that those involved would never see through the smoke!
I am not a spoiler… hence my cryptic review. It is hard to write about this book without giving too much away! I have read reviews that I would not have wanted to read before I read the book. I never want to know more than the bare necessities of a story before I read it. So that is what I am giving you. Trust me, this is a must read. It is the grand finale to the series, and it goes out with a bang or two!
(Audio book)
If you haven’t read this series I recommend you start at the beginning, this is a story you don’t want to miss if you like dark romance.
It’s not filled with very detailed love scenes but the psychological aspect of this book is spectacular.
* A storyline that gives you intriguing, unexpected turns in the story but still makes you keep the thread.
* Interesting characters that are in some ways realistic
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and a good amount of dialogues
Audio performance:
I normally don’t like female narrators but this lady has a way of presenting the story that keeps me interested. A lot of emotions and engagement makes it a very good experience.
I recommend this book very much.
5 out of 5 stars
Claire and Tony may have their lives back on track and a baby on the way , living on their island they just might have the love and life they want back. But like all good things it will come crashing down around you . With a evil game master pulling the strings , Claire is thrown into a constant nightmare that she cant come out of . With time running out on Claire and Tony will they be able to have their happily ever after or will the game master have the last laugh .
Ok I must say I truly have come around and I am liking Tony , I truly disliked him through out the series but in this book he has redeemed himself in my eyes . He is still over bearing and oh so alpha man , but we do get to see softer side of him . The side that will melt your heart and shed a tear every now and there . He does kind a wear his heart on his sleeve in some parts of the book especially when they are on the island . Claire wow what can I say about Claire . She really grew a back bone in the last book . She is such a great characters , she has gone from a weak scared mouse to a lioness of a woman . Who can be tough but also soft and sweet when the time calls for it .There are so many supporting characters that are either good or evil . Some people you just don’t know if you can trust them or not . Catherine well she is just evil and I kind a cheered when she got what she got .
This is one book and one series that you can’t put down . The characters are diverse and complex . You will love them or hate them it depends on the part of the book you are reading . The author takes us on a very emotional roller coaster ride through out this book. I really had an ugly cry through out this book and the whole series . You can’t help but fall in love with Claire and Tony . even though I hated Tony in the first book and half . There is plenty of angst , misunderstandings , game playing and oh yes lots of hot sexy romance that will keep you reading all night long . This is a series that will keep you reading all night long and cheering for the characters . Check it out and put it on your to be read list . You will not be disappointed .
