I’m forced to choose between life and death in two hells that I can’t escape.Facing a prison sentence on a mysterious, unknown island with my infant daughter, I try to lay low and fly under the radar during my term, but Officer Matthew Kent has his sights locked in on me from the moment we have our first encounter. I find myself trapped in his private lair where my worst nightmare begins.… worst nightmare begins.
Handsome, obsessed, and haunted by his past, he’ll never let me go. Confined with my captor, love is no longer a choice because without him, I might not live long enough to make it out of here alive. My only instinct is to survive. There’s just one problem with our forbidden relationship: people are watching––and talking about it. Someone will die. Someone must die. But who will it be first?
Read this dark prison romance novel to find out who will make it out alive.

Convist Blood is an dark, wonderful, twisted read. This story has a little bit of everything in it. I enjoyed the characters and it was wonderful written. It has a good storyline. Its a page turner and kept my interest.

Do you think things happen for a reason?
This is somewhat of a historical book I guess. It’s definitely not today’s times for sure. All she was trying to do was feed her baby, but to do that she had to steal food. For that she was convicted of theft along with her husband.
Separated from her husband and told he had died, she did what she had to do. Matthew was a surprise. He starts off gruff and unforgiving but when he spends more time with Victoria and her baby Lizzy they grow closer and he shows his softer side. But again, life happens for a reason.
On the boat it’s like a world away from the world. Just trying to survive like so many failed to do. On the island it’s sort of the same. When one door closes another opens. What’s a single mother, a convict, to do?
I really liked this book. It wasn’t what I was expecting at all. There are plot twists that I didn’t see coming. I’m not happy about one thing that happened, but I get WHY it had to happen. You may not originally think this is a romance but it is. It’s about love, loss, forgiveness, redemption and so much more.
When Henry and Victoria are accused of stealing and sentenced to Botany Bay they had no idea the conditions they would have to suffer.
Victoria holds strong through terrible conditions and treatment while trying to keep her baby fed.
When a Marine takes an interest in her she’s terrified of his threats. Can she survive? Will she be reunited with her husband?

Picture this: A prison ship crammed with convicts down in the hulk. Victoria, a beautiful young woman, is separated from her husband and is on her own with her baby girl. She has been arrested for stealing food to feed her family since her husband was out of work. There is a shortage of food, blankets, and medicine on board. Illness runs rampant among the sickly and malnourished inmates. Victoria makes one friend who helps her get on deck to get fresh air for her baby and she attracts the attention of Matthew Kent, one of the Marine Officers guarding the convicts. The more time they spend together, first as his captive, then as friends, and finally as lovers, Victoria finds his kindness to her and her daughter breaking down her defenses. She comes to accept that her husband had died on the voyage to Botany Bay.
There were some big twists I did not see coming but the ending worked out in its own way. The friendship between Victoria and Charlotte was great but I wondered what happened between Charlotte and Robert, if they married. There were some irregularities in the time jumps and in Lizzy’s development that confused me. Some areas weren’t explained well and then later glossed over like they had been. But it was an enjoyable read thus the 4-1/2 Star Rating.
TWISTED Attention Grabber!
Twisted dark attention grabbing read that immediately sucked me in and kept me wanting to turn the pages that had my emotions all over the places with an overload of shock, irritation and wild twisted eye popping excitement. The chemistry was hot dark twisted with a head turning warm side that had me happy and frustrated from one page to the next. The storyline was definitely unexpected and unique I just wish it was not so repetitive in the wording throughout the story. A fantastic read with a suburb ending that I enjoyed and would absolutely recommend to others.
