As a woman in a man’s world, firefighter Abrihet has always had to push just a little bit harder, prove just a little bit more. But her special gifts don’t make that any easier. Fire isn’t something she fights, it’s something she controls. And that’s a secret that she doesn’t want getting out. However, when a routine rescue goes south quickly, and Abrihet is literally pulled from the flames into … into hell, she has no choice but to accept the hand she’s been dealt.
As the heir to the throne of Wraith, Fire Demon Bael was raised to hate Nefas—half-demon, half-human hybrids. But when he’s sent to watch and pass judgment on the daughter of one of his Enforcers, he finds something wholly unexpected. She’s not an abomination. Actually, she might just be his salvation. The challenge will be getting her to accept him and his ways, because as the heir, his world is darker than most.
Despite the odds stacked against them and the unusual circumstances of their meeting, Bael and Abrihet must learn to trust each other and work together. If they don’t, it could mean death for one or both of them. Luckily, their connection is strong, and attraction burns bright. But is the light they share something they can use to fight those who oppose them, or will it consume them both?

This is a wonderful novella! After reading the publishers notes, I thought Consumed to be a different kind of story. I went in with an open mind and was not disappointed.
Bael and Abrihet’s story is intriguing and a little twisted from a human’s perspective. Consumed is a phenomenal mix of mythology, paranormal, supernatural, fantasy, erotica, and a little horror. The tale introduces demons in a way that makes the reader ponder the things taught about demons. Perhaps the author intends to rid of our biases.
I am looking forward to reading Reign, a full-length novel, which is the next book in the series.

It was not what I expected from the beginning but it was quite intriguing to go through the twists and turns.
The main characters have strength and chemistry that make them a powerful couple. They need to find out how to survive and win!
An adventure!

About discovering love, inner strength, and acceptance
Abrihet, a firefighter with huge secrets, is “saved” by Bael, an Incaendium class fire demon, from a house fire. As the story progresses more secrets are revealed, danger follows everywhere, and acceptance of the truth is the path to their destiny. Tigris Eden’s Consumed is a soul searching read about discovering love, inner strength, and acceptance. Add some predetermined destiny, otherworldly creatures, and exotic realms and you have the beginnings of a spin off series. It is not necessary to read Affinity prior to reading Consumed.
I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout. I had the opportunity to review or not.

I don’t even know where to begin.
I love this book. It sucked me in and left me wanting more. Seriously I wish I could read more.
To have a relationship with fire that no one else has and you didn’t know why. To be called from voices from a fire as it directs you to a safe place. That’s what Abrihet has. When she cannot escape a bad vote she is taken to the one place that she thinks she belongs for something she could not control as a child. She is rescued by a demon pretending to be her landlord. Bael and Abrihet have a connection neither has ever felt. Together can the fulfill a profecy or will things go wrong. Only the next book can tell us more.
I can’t wait to read more.

Book two in the Soulful Hearts series a well written story that held my interest throughout. This is firefighter Abrihet and Fire Demon Bael who is the heir to the throne of Wraith’s story. A short quick story that I enjoyed reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the story of Abrihet and Bael. She has spent her life overcoming the guilt she feels for burning her childhood friend to death. She is now a fire fighter, saving lives. Bael is sent to destroy her but it turns out that they are mates. I enjoyed how this story brings them together and all the obstacles they must overcome. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review
Abrihet, a fire fighter, has battled the flames for most of her adult life. Well, perhaps BATTLED is the wrong word… Abrihet could coax the flames, control the flames, speak with the flames. But it was Abrihet’s ability that caused her the most pain. Even though she never burned, was never injured by the flames, the fire in her past had exacted a terrible price: the life of her best friend. At eight, Abrihet hadn’t realized that not everyone was like her, and had caused her best friend Sara’s death…
In an effort to atone for her decades old deadly mistake, Abrihet became a fire fighter, always attempting to save lives and chip away at the never ending guilt of her past. But when Abrihet heard the screams, she is driven to rescue the trapped people inside the inferno… Only to become trapped herself…
Bael is tasked with finding and destroying Abrihet. She is an abomination, a product of forbidden love between a Wraith and a human. But Bael soon discovers she is so much more… She is the prophesied one, his Luxa, his Light; his other half. Now he must find a way to save her… To love her…. To bring forth her Light…
“There was that spark again. His mouth was the flame that lit her body on fire.” Abrihet
Wonderfully convoluted, this book is a wonderfully compelling page turner. Superbly written, followers of Tigris Eden’s literary works will expect stunning characters and brilliant plots, and, despite being different from novels by Ms Eden I’ve read previously, this book meets expectations.
If you want great interactions and entertainment, this enticing book can be read as a stand alone novel or book 2 of the series.

Abri and Bael are not a couple made in heaven, well.. they are made in hell in the matter of fact. Their meeting was not a love story. Their beginning really rocky. She need to learn as quick as possible rules that rule her new “home”. He need to learn that she is not obedient little half-demon. They need to learn to care for each other and work together. Greater troubles are coming, hard time is ahead, and fire can possibly consume them both.
This is not a full length book but the beginning of a new story that lets you lern about Bael and Abrihet. Bael is a very high ranking demon one that will become king of Wraith the 5th level of hell one day he has been sent to observe Abrihet to find out if she is a danger to others humans. Because of her half demon blood she could cause harm to others she is a Nefas and they are considered a danger that should be killed.
Abrihet has know idea her father is a demon but her mother is locked away and she knows that fire talks to her won’t hurt her but when her job as a firefighter lands her in danger Bael will save her he will have to battle his own to keep her even when things settle down they are warned Abrihet his Light is still in danger. They may be ment for each other there passion may consumes them but there story is not done yet.
I liked this and look forward to the next story.
