I thought I knew how to bring a man like him to justice, but there are no men like him.He walked the Earth millennia before I was born. My ancestors fought him over the centuries, and fate has driven me to take my turn. But this time things are different. This time he has a plan.
My full attention was consumed!
This dark, romantic tale gripped my attention instantly. From its underlying good v. evil theme to its undeniably sensual leading characters, I found myself completely consumed by this story. Left on the cusps of wondering what might occur next, I found myself unable to put the book down until I had read it in its entirety. I loved this dark read. Kassandra is an Interpol agent and also a member a mortal clan call the Warriors of Light. While after a Mafia boss she and Antonia Vitale, an enemy of the Warriors meet and he plans to claim her and rule the world with her. Will the light keep the world safe? Lots of drama, plenty of twists and turns. So intense and steamy I was hooked from beginning to end. A Great Read!
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Sara Fields is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
I liked this story for the most part. The storyline was interesting, the intimacy between characters, smoking hot. The reason for 3 stars, there was too much redundancy in parts of the story for the story to flow as easily as it should have. The character development seemed rushed for all characters, not just the main characters and there were plot holes that made parts of the story confusing. All in all its not a bad read. Quick, hot with a heavy dose of passion but wasn’t my favorite book by Sara.
This is definitely a dark romance. Things are not explained till the very end, which keeps Kassandra questioning her mental health. She doesn’t know what is real and what is not ,thanks to Markos.

I really enjoyed reading this deliciously dark & devious paranormal romance. The plot is excellent, well-thought out & written, it certainly kept my attention. The unique characters are complex individuals involved in their struggle between good & evil. This struggle displays a certain amount of emotional turmoil and/or deviousness.
There is: twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, good versus evil, a part demon & vampire billionaire (Markus), a warrior of light (Kassandra), enemies, prophecies, emotional turmoil, domination/submission, forced submission, possession, control issues, bondage, indecision, angst, life & death scenes, explicit sexual scenes & an intriguing but unexpected twist in the ending.
I would recommend this dark paranormal romance
Well this book is hot and as the story devellops it becomes more delightful and also darker.
This vampire is pure hotness and so powerful that becomes impossible to resist… But I don’t see her even trying…

This was a great read. The book was short, but I really enjoyed it. I didn’t see the ending happening the way it did, and to me, that makes a very interesting book.

If you like lovey dovey romance this book is NOT for you. It is way past 50 shades. There is violence and satanist. It is more like a very erotic supernatural story, than a love story. It is fast past and not for the faint of heart.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It is a well written story and it kind of reminds me of Addison Cain’s White Queen in some ways. Filled with smexy scenes, spankings, and a twisted ending that is sure to satisfy fans. It would have fit perfectly in the “When the Dark Wins” anthology.
Even though the story is good and entertaining, I just couldn’t give it 5 stars as I prefer my male leads to have at least a small glimmer of light and Markos has none. The WOL should never have been in the dark as to her origins/purpose and never succumbed to Markos (because once again – I like my light to stay light).
The Light verses the Dark
Consumed is not my normal cup of tea but Sara Fields wrote it so I read it. This book is dark, dark and dark. So be forewarned that this book dark. If you like dark romances this is the book for you! I thought this book was about the mob but it’s about Kassandra and Markos. Kassandra is looking for info on the man who is reported to be the “top dog”. Markos catches her. He is not what she thinks. Markos is handsome, rich, has far reaching connections and suave. Kassandra is the light to Markos’s dark. Light a moth she is drawn in to his world. He knows he needs to deal with Kassandra’s invasion. He is evil incarnate and all around bad news.
Marcos Valera was one of the richest billionaires in Europe, with extensive business dealings around the world. Most were legal but there were a few clues that had suggested some of them were quasi-legal or flat out against the law. But Interpol could never even get close, at least till now. Kassandra worked for Interpol and was using Antonio Vitale, one of the most infamous mafia kingpin in Europe and a known player, as her connection to Marcos Valera. As much as Kassandra thought she was in control of the situation she had put herself in, there were other, bigger secrets about to be revealed. Secrets she was inadvertently involved in. There’s an underlying plot that is wove throughout the story, building and building in intensity, bringing goosebumps and raising the small hairs on the back of this readers neck. The interaction between Marcos and Kassandra is over the top. As you read, is it just the author spinning a tale or is it truly happening, taking over Kassandra’s mind. Powerful and mind blowing. This is a dark, twisted, sexually explicit love story destined by fate you don’t want to miss! I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
I love seeing different interpretations of angels versus the devil. This book takes the battle between good and evil and turns it backwards, sideways, and inside out. One of the most basic meanings behind the Devil is breaking free from propriety and society’s expectations. This story definitely goes there. I don’t really know what words I can choose to explain this story without giving the whole thing away. I was expecting a different ending, but there’s a frightening amount of truth to the way this book closes.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
So I knew ahead of time that this was going to be a vampire story but I wasn’t prepared for the wild intense ride the author takes us on. I couldn’t put it down. It isn’t sparkles and sunlight at all and I can’t actually describe how incredibly addicting this story is. It’s dark like hold onto your pantries dark! Or not 😉 It’s so steamy my kindle almost caught fire. I couldn’t catch a breath. I was holding on to every single line until the very end and then I wanted more! No! I needed more! I was so consumed by this story and you will be too. Get it now!
I do not think that I can find the words to do this book justice. This book is dark, twisted and insanely intense. I will say this, pay attention to the blurb. If you read the description and have even the faintest doubt about this being a book you enjoy because of the content, then I recommend you pass this book by because this book delivers everything that is mentioned and so much more. If you enjoy everything that the term dark can embrace, then prepare yourself for one stunning read. Kassandra and Markos are both remarkable characters and whether you love them, hate them or love to hate them, they will engage your mind and leave a mark on your heart. The storyline is powerful, unique and gripping. It is filled with drama, suspense, emotional turmoil, D/s and tons of sizzling, scorching passion. This is my impartial, independent review.
The very devil’s trials
—>>> Pain. Torture. Degradation. Fire. Ecstasy.
We are taken through an emotionally dark journey in this story. Drawn to the mysterious dangerous Markos Varela instead of her assigned mark, undercover agent Kassandra is caught in his home’s off-limits areas during one of his parties and finds herself caught up in a lustfilled mind experience with him as her Master, but not being able to get her bearings except for the rare lucid moments when she hands herself over to him.
A thoroughly engrossing tale of a woman helplessly and utterly consumed by the man who realizes and relishes her significance to his existence.
Dark, Different and Consuming!
“Consumed” literally consumed me from beginning to end! This very dark, paranormal, erotic romance kept me guessing from the first page to the last. Part Devil and part Vampire, Markos is the anti-hero you just love to hate. Combining the two immortal entities (even metaphorically) makes for a mind-bending story-line. When the Warrior of Light encounters the ultimate evil will darkness or light prevail? … Ultimately the destiny of humanity is at stake (no vampiric pun intended). Professionally written and extremely fast-paced, this highly erotic thriller may ultimately tempt you to unite with the dark side… or at the very least find yourself captivated by the Devil.

A dark, twisted snack perfect for reading in the dark. The reading experience of Consumed mimics Kassandra’s own journey – it starts out hot and fast but quickly this sense of twisted wrongness permeates every sentence. Will Kassandra run before it’s too late? Will the reader? Or will you continue down the twisting path to the very dark end…
A woman on a mission ends up catching the interest of the wrong “man”. And all hell breaks loose! She is the light to his dark and both will need the other. He takes her, uses, abuses, destroys her life so all she has is him. He will consume her emotions, her soul, her mind and feed from her body! Consumed is an dark and twisted romance with a paranormal twist. Kassandra is an undercover agent with Interpol but is only interested in Markos. She finally has an opening to find out more about him, but Markos catches her in the act. Recognizing who she is, he takes her as his own, wanting to consume her body, mind, and soul. Soon Kassandra doesn’t know what’s real or not, and she doesn’t understand what’s going on. Will Kassandra’s time with Markos leave her doomed?
Holy. Smokes. This book… don’t start it unless you have the time to finish it in one sitting! It’s fantastic! It’s dark! It’s twisted! Kassandra and Markos will have you dying for more, wanting to cringe, flipping pages as fast as you can, but not wanting the book to end too quickly! Kassandra is curious, strong, and out through some truly crazy things! Markos is… well, I honestly don’t want to give anything, so I’ll say he’s dominant, dark, driven, and twisted! The events in this book went in a direction I was NOT expecting, but that made it all the better for me! I love the surprises, the twists, and the reasoning behind it all! This is a must read if you’re into dark romances, and seriously, I’m a bit hungover from this book!
