Killian Everett is condescending, egotistical, and a complete jerk. When I started as the new assistant for the famous rock band Civil Corruption, I thought I’d hit the career jackpot…but I was wrong. With his attitude, bad behavior, and stupid good looks, Killian has made my life a living hell since my very first day.We may fight constantly, but that doesn’t make me want him any less. And now I … him any less.
And now I know he wants me too.
He wants to seduce me.
He wants to own me.
He wants to consume me.
And if I’m not careful…
I just might let him.

I love a good asshole musician…and Killian is just that! Consume was everything I was looking for in a rock star romance!
Killian and Gina had one night together…in which even after the amazing time they had, Killian couldn’t get rid of Gina fast enough. But now a few months later, the tension is through the roof as Gina is the new assistant and Killian will do anything to get her to leave. Little does he know that Gina is not going to back down!
I really enjoyed Killian and Gina! The minute they got together, with such amazing chemistry and sexiness, I knew it was about to go down. Like I said above, I love a good asshole musician and boy, Killian was the best! The insults these two threw at each other and how they fought were balanced out by the love you know they have for each other. I loved watching their relationship take the necessary steps for the two of them to be together…and that asshole wasn’t so bad after all!
Jessica Prince is one of my all time favorite authors!! I love all of the Civil Corruption boys, but I really do think that Killian is my new favorite!! I laughed and cried a lot in this book, but every tear is worth it! I did make the mistake of reading this before bed one night – I was up all night. I could not put it down.
There were times I wanted to shank Killian, but I love that Gina was able to handle him. Their story is so beautiful, but the journey is so much more! I laughed and cried a lot in this book, but every tear is worth it! I did make the mistake of reading this before bed one night – I was up all night. I could not put it down.
FIVE HUGE STARS!!
CONSUME by Jessica Prince is book 3 in the Civil Corruption series. Killian and Gina were in the background in previous stories and made me long for their story and now here it is. Their love story has been a slow burning one…and what a story it is. Both come from sad and terrible backgrounds which mean they protect themselves from pain at all costs. Killian is a jerk, a womanizer, and when he is around Gina, he acts like a fool around her and that doesn’t help him win points with Gina. When the story starts, Killian and Gina had one night together. They had a steamy time together but as soon as they were done, Killian couldn’t get rid of Gina fast enough. Gina was devastated by Killian’s actions and didn’t know why he treated her so terribly. Fast forward a few months and Gina ends up as the new assistant to the band which doesn’t help the tension between Gina and Killian. Tensions are through the roof between them which means Killian plans to do anything to get Gina to leave her position with the band. But what Killian doesn’t realize is that Gina is not going to leave just because he is unhappy with her being there. So will these two be able to put their hostilities aside or will the push/pull continue to raise tensions until things explode? This is a must read in the Civil Corruption series. I love Gina and Killian as a couple- their chemistry is intense and hot. There are several twists that take place and when you least expect it, something happens that lets them both open the door and let each other into one another’s lives. OMG I love this series and cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
My Rating: 4.8 stars *****
I truly love everything about this author. EVERYTHING. I had been looking forward to Killian’s story since I read the first chapter after part Civil Corruption #2. I was right to be looking forward to it because she knocked it out of the park with this one. There was angst, there was heartbreak, there was humor, and there was steam. Good Lord, was there ever steam. There were even glimpses of the ladies from Girl Talk (Oh how I miss Lola, Sophia, and Daphne) which made me laugh as they always do.
This book is my absolute favorite of the series. Jullian. Sweet holy, Mary, Joseph, Gabriel, and Baby Jesus. That man made me weak in the knees. His mouth, his poor damaged heart, and his dedication to being a better man. I loved watching him evolve. Watching him fall in love with Gina was so endearing. He took the advice he had been given and carried her baggage like he was Atlas carrying the weight of the world. Gina. I cannot think of a better nickname for her than the one that Killian gave her; Thumbelina. As quick to have a temper as Killian was she seemed to calm him and keep him in check. I kept having the quote by William Shakespeare in my head, ‘Though she be but little, she is fierce!” I loved her sass. She was feisty and not afraid to take on the big bad Killian. Their chemistry and banter were off the charts. OFF. THE. CHARTS. My heart hurt for her with all the burdens that she was handling alone.
It was great to see glimpses of the characters from the previous books as it truly helped solidify that Civil Corru[tion was more than a band and was in fact family. I very much appreciated a glimpse into Mason and what would be coming with the final book. And off topic, I really really really want Marco to get his own book. Please?
This was my first book from the series and the author. After this one I’m definitely reading the other ones as well!
Gina has a crush on Killian, the bassist of Civil Corruption. After one night together, he kicks her out of his house in a very disrespectful way. Now, a few weeks after that night, Gina is hired as a PA for the band. Killian is not very happy about it and he’s determined to make her quit, but it won’t be that easy!
I liked Gina’s defiance and how she was ready to take everything in order to keep the job and be able to provide for her mum. I get Killian’s reasons for not being able to trust a woman fully, but I find him unfair towards Gina. His father is just plain rude and I really felt the urge to slap him at times! Killian’s behavior is confusing, one moment he’s hot and the next one he’s cold. Their relationship is funny, steamy and difficult at times.
I can’t wait for the next and final book of the series “Ravage”. Mace and Lyla’s relationship really peaked my interest!
Jessica Prince was a new author to me and I am glad that I picked up her book; I really loved her writing style 🙂

Review:
I am very grateful that I was granted the opportunity to receive an arc of this book. I haven’t read the first two book in this series but I didn’t feel like I needed to in order to read this book. The characters in this book were all introduced. I didn’t have a moment where I thought, “who is this” “whats going on”, “what did I miss”etc.
What is this book about:
This book is about Killian and Gina. Killian is a member of a very popular band. Gina is friends with the girlfriends of the other band members.
Gina doesn’t have it easy, her mother suffered a terrible stroke and she’s trying to take care of her as much as she can but it cost allot. In order to afford the care of her mother she decides to take a job she know she shouldn’t take. She’s going to be a personal assistant for the band Killian is in.
The thing is she and Killian shared a night together and that didn’t end all that well…
Killian is determent to make her live a living hell so she will quit and he can get back to his old whoring ways, those odds sound better for him than allowing Gina to get more under his skin that she already is. Will he succeed and lose Gina forever or will she prove more resistant than he initially thought.
What did I like about this book:
I liked the banter between Killian and Gina. They had chemistry. I also liked that Gina grew some backbone and didn’t fall for his tricks.
I liked the side characters as well. They were interesting.
I liked reading this book but I didn’t love it. I’m not sure on how to explain why. There wasn’t really anything wrong with the story, I just didn’t feel it.
