Killian Everett is condescending, egotistical, and a complete jerk. When I started as the new assistant for the famous rock band Civil Corruption, I thought I’d hit the career jackpot…but I was wrong. With his attitude, bad behavior, and stupid good looks, Killian has made my life a living hell since my very first day.We may fight constantly, but that doesn’t make me want him any less. And now I … him any less.
And now I know he wants me too.
He wants to seduce me.
He wants to own me.
He wants to consume me.
And if I’m not careful…
I just might let him.

Loved this book! I have read the first in the series but haven’t read the second yet. This book just made me want to immediately dive into it though! Edgy, dramatic, stoic, crazy, and emotional…this book took me on a ride all in one day! This author was fantastic about making me feel the emotions and the turmoil, making me feel like I was in the book.
Wow! Okay, so I grabbed this because Marco is in it & Wrong Side of the Tracks comes out soon & I wanted more Marco before I start my ARC of that. : ) I haven’t read the rest of the series, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It starts out with a few of my hard “no”‘s and I wasn’t really vibing with it at first. But as I got to know Gina & Killian and understand where they were coming from w/ the actions they were taking, I fell more & more in love w/ their characters.
The story is really well done! There were tears and laughs and lots of steam. And there was healing… I really loved the direction the story went with Killian’s dad. That was one of my favorite story arcs and bits of character development! : )
*** 5 ‘You And Me Forever’ Stars ***
When you are told by two very reliable sources that you are going to LOVE this book, you get excited but also take it with a grain of salt because you never WANT to be too excited just in case.
Well, in this case the grain of salt was obliterated from the very first page.
Killian and Gina were EVERYTHING. And when I say everything, I mean it because whoo weee did they put me, and themselves, through the ringer. The feels were going all kinds of BSC (batshitcrazy). The swoons were as real as wanting to reach out and Gibbs smack them with a 2×4 and then the smexy….Lord have MERCY *fans self* Then add in the C.C. crew? And you have a book that you just cannot put down (I tried. But I failed….so we’ll just say I multitasked really, really well for…oh 2.5 hrs today *BSEG*) and can’t help but want and need more!
I honestly adored Kill and Gina. I did. But man, these two…
Gina is carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders and it was hard to not love her for it, even as I wanted to reach and tell her she didn’t need to. But though that weight was always there, it didn’t diminish her in any way. Talk about fierce. She does have her moments of weakness like anyone else, but when she gets going. Watch out because she’ll level you in seconds.
Killian. This man…no doubt, he was an asshat, on more than one occasion. Some of those times were conscious while others were unconscious, but even through all of asshattery I still saw a good man with a battered heart beneath it all. Thankfully, that heart started to heal and the man is simply lethal on all levels.
Their journey to their HEA was all kinds fun. Aggravating at times, but fun. The push/pull between them was real…think big old fireworks going off whenever they were sharing the same air. And the smexy was OMG…let’s just say, prepare yourselves for these two. But while their road was rocky and at times eye rolling, it was one they had to travel, some may not agree with their choices but they needed to be made for them to have those lightbulb moments and come to the realization that they were good for each other on so many levels.
This one was a fun read, which is obvious considering I read in no time flat. It does take place at the same time as Defile, but it can be read as a standalone without issue. I loved hanging out with the Civil Corruption crew. They were a lot of fun, even when there was a little drama tossed into the mix, but I loved the family dynamic they brought with them, especially one particular moment that had me cracking up because I could picture all of their reactions perfectly in my head. And as for the set up and tease for Mace and Lyla’s book…lemme tell ya, it’s gonna be a doozy and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

Gwen has been struggling, her life has not been an easy road and her best friend thinks that crashing a party for the band Civil Corruption is just what they need to breathe easy for awhile. Gwen quickly realizes the party is not for her and seeks a quiet place where she meets Garrett Wilder. She has no idea who Garrett is or that he is part of the band and thinks they connect until later that morning she realizes she was just another one night stand to him. Gwen ends up pregnant and although she highly doubts Garrett wants to be a father, she lets him know.
A few years later Garrett decides he wants to be more then a Dad in passing and has a plan to get Gwen and Liddy to live with him. However, Gwen has had years of being treated like crap by Garrett and his band, not to mention his handlers. She doesn’t trust him and Garrett is less then forthcoming about how he feels about Gwen. Can opposites find a way to work together or will Gwen’s built up insecurities and pride be standing in their way.
So I was mixed on this one, hence why it took awhile to write the review. Overall I liked the story but Garrett is such a jerk for over half of it, it took sometime to soften to him. A bit more angsty then the authors other books.
Consume is the third book in Jessica Prince’s Civil Corruption series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I will say that, while I loved Killian, it took me a little longer than typical with Ms. Prince’s books to fall in love with him. He epitomized the bad boy jerky-jerk that needed redemption. And he managed to do that with Gina, the band’s newest assistant. She was strong- and I loved that!- and didn’t take his crap.
I am loving this series, and am devouring it quickly!
From the moment that Killian first appeared on the pages of his own book, I claimed that man! #killandjillforeverandever There’s just something about this sexy, alpha rockstar that buried itself deep within my heart and will not let go. You need to read this book – it is angsty, alpha, rockstar perfection- just remember that Killian already has me, don’t go getting any ideas!
This book <3. I love Jessica Prince. She's one of my favorite authors. I love her Girl Talk series and Civil Corruption is just AMAZING!!! Her writing is awesome and her storyline draws you in. Her books are like Sirens and we're the pirates who willingly crash our ships just to read her stories. She's witty, her character development is off the charts and she writes about issues that matter.
Consume is the third book in the Civil Corruption series. Consume is about Killian and Gina, while you can read this book as a standalone, I don't recommend it. This series, the band is a family. All the characters from the prior books make a reappearance. Killian is your average playboy, I mean, he's a rock star so that kind of comes with the territory but he's been hurt in the past. His mother left him, his fiancee cheated on him and his dad is just a mess. He's jaded when it comes to love but more so women. He's perfectly content to continue down the path he's living until Gina. Gina has had the biggest crush on Killian, while she's friendly with the band she just can't form a coherent sentence around him. That is until he approaches her and their friend's wedding. The two of them shared an unbelievable night which leads Killian to freak out and kick her out of his bed. As time passes, eventually Gina becomes the assistant for the band. Killian is dead set on torturing her because he can't stop thinking about. These two have a rollercoaster going on. He wants her but doesn't want her, yet Marco can't have her. What I admire most about Gina is her determination. She's been through a lot and she doesn't give up. She supports her mom, pays her mom's medical bills but she doesn't mind the sacrifice. She has such a good heart. I loved reading about Killian falling in love. This book was amazing yet different from the other books. Consume has more depth than the prior stories. It's a must-read. This book ends in an HEA.
4.5 Stars
I love this series, but getting glimpses of Killian in the previous book I knew Jessica Prince had he work cut for her to have Killian win me over. Well I was proved wrong one glimpse into his head I was already thawing to him. It was pretty easy for him to win me over. He had some real swoon worthy moments especially in the epilogue. This book had me laughing, crying, and smiling. It pulled the emotions out of me. I loved Gina. She has so much inner strength and fire. She’s perfect for Killian if he doesn’t shot himself in the foot when it comes to Gina. I would recommend this one because I had a hard time putting it down.
This was my favorite of the Civil Corruption books so far!! I did not want to put this book down because I had to know what happened between Killian and Gina.
This book was a roller coaster of emotions between the characters. Even with this roller coaster the story line was spot on.
Killian is very closed off on his emotions because of the way he was raised. Now he doesn’t know what to do with everything he is feeling except to be a complete a**. Will he be able to overcome this problem or will he lose the one good thing to come his way?
Gina has never had an easy life. She is still struggling because of a choice she made when she was younger. She is also somewhat closed off because she has never had anyone that she can fully trust. Will she be able to overcome this and allow everyone involved with Civil Corruption in?
Killian and Gina’s chemistry is off the charts!! Killian knows what buttons to push to upset Gina and she also knows the same buttons to push on Killian so the banter between the two of them was amazing to read.
Overall, Jessica Prince did an amazing job with this book and like the last two the twists in the story line were unexpected but oh so, good!!
I can’t wait to read Mason’s story.
I am loving Jessica Prince’s Civil Corruption series, which is centered around the members of a highly successful rock band, and she’s delivered another compelling and fan-yourself-worthy romance with Consume, the third, stand-alone book. Killian is the band’s bass player and the type of bad boy you love to hate. He’s a sexy jerk with a hero hidden underneath his cynical, troubled veneer, and his redemption will melt your heart and possibly cause you to swoon. Consume is the best kind of enemies-to-lovers romance, because it pulls you in so deep that your emotions will swing wildly during Killian and Lyla’s epic game of love’s tug-of-war. Don’t miss Consume or any of the rock stars from Civil Corruption.

ARC provided, but this review was voluntarily and honestly written.
This was my favorite of the Civil Corruption books. Killian started out as an a$$ and sent some pretty mixed signals to Gina. And she was not having it. Once he decided to ignore his fathers voice in his head, he redeemed himself. He definitely took some of Gina’s burden off her shoulders!
CONSUME is the third book in The Civil Corruption Series and can be read as a stand-alone. Because Jessica Prince is a one-click author for me, I always recommend reading all of her books.
Consume features Killian (band member of Civil Corruption) and Gina who is the band’s new assistant. Killian and Gina have one of those relationships that start under less than awesome circumstances yet find themselves together every day in their professional lives.
This story flows so easily that I read it in just a few hours. I CONSUMEd the book so fast, I will absolutely go back and read it again to catch all of the nuances.
Jessica Prince is a one-click author for me and CONSUME did not disappoint.
Wow!!! Another Jessica Prince’s 5 star story that was easily read in one sitting. This is the third book in the Civil Corruption series. All standalone by the way.
Killian is part of the band Civil Corruption and loves to party and woman. He spends an unforgettable night with Gina, a friend of the band members. Now they have to work together, let’s say he’s not very accepting of that. Gina is going through a lot and needs this job so she will not let Killian get in the way of it.
The bantering between these 2 is highly entertaining. This story is not only funny, it’s heartbreaking at times too. I felt quite a bit for these characters. I enjoyed immensely this storyline because it was captivating.
Even if it’s the third story in the series, it can be read as a standalone. But for better enjoyment read them all in order. Told in a dual POV with an HEA.
When Gina allows her friends to convince her to take the job as the band’s assistant, I knew the fireworks were going to go off, and they did! Killian finally meets a woman who doesn’t put up with his rockstar bs, doesn’t fall all over him. He can’t get the feisty, sassy assistant out of his mind, and it’s driving him absolutely batshit crazy, causing him to do ridiculous things, say ridiculous things. I was highly amused at how much she got under his skin, all without even trying. The big, bad rockstar finally met his match and I loved it!!!! Killian’s cocky, swaggering persona needed to be taken down a notch, and Gina was just the woman for the task, all without trying, all without even doing anything but being herself. FLOVED it!
And in Consume, I FINALLY fell in love with one of Civil Corruption’s heroes. In the past two, I’ve had a meh/hate (mostly hate) relationship with the heroes, but in Killian, Jessica Prince has finally given me one that I could love. He’s still a jerk for part of Consume, but once his past was explained, I completely understood and sympathized with the guy. And Gina was his perfect match. She is strong, she’s a fighter and a survivor and she’s completely loyal. She doesn’t put up with Killian’s bs, sees through him, and puts him in his place, which he more than needs. As the two fall in love and steam up the sheets, I was rooting like crazy for them, they are truly a wonderful couple and so deserved their hard-won HEA.
If you haven’t been reading this series, I highly advise you to get your fingers to 1-clicking!
5+ Stars
Consume is the third book in the series of Civil Corruption but can be read as a standalone.
Jessica had me sucked me in until the last page!! Love her story line! What an emotional roller coaster!
Killian and Gina story~ amazing amazing chemistry
“You and me forever, Thumbelina.”
Absolutely loved every word!! I highly recommend!!
I do not know how Jessica Prince does it! She seriously has me fan girling over Civil Corruption! It is as if they were a real band! Killian was not a favorite of mine. Especially when we already saw glimpse of how he treated Gina in previous books. You can definitely read this book as a stand alone, but reading the previous books are a plus. I loved how Jessica intertwines her books together. There were a few parts that I read and said, I remember that part with Dec and Tate!
Gina is the perfect heroine to bring Killian to his knees. I though all hope was lost for him, but even though Gina physically is a tiny thing, she is fierce. Her love and compassion is out of this world. I could not believe what she has gone through and still has to put up with Killian’s antics. But then she begins to get under Kill’s skin and he starts to soften and become human again! And we get a little camo of our favorite radio show, Girl Talk!
Everything about this series has me swooning non stop! Consume will engulf you in flames and capture your heart! I COULD NOT GET ENOUGH! I am so excited to see what makes Mace tick in the next book!
Killian often times takes things out of context, “a low, raspy sound of amusement worked its way from Killian’s throat. “Abnormally large? Sweetness, you got no effin’idea.” Killian is a jealous one, “you want to get off, you come to me. What you don’t do is flirt with effing Marco Castillo. He’s off-limits. In fact, every single godd**n person who isn’t me is off effin’ limits, you got it?” I loved this hook, Killian had some problems but with his lady by his side things looked up for him
We are once again back with Civil Corruption. This is a series that features different couples. Could it be a stand-alone? Maybe. Should you read the others first? Most definitely. I loved Killian and Gina’s book. Gina is my favorite character in this book. She is so strong, and she shows that strongness while putting Killian in his place. The book is angsty. I wanted to punch Killian many times. There were other emotions that I felt as well. Parts of this book just touched my heart. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
Finally Kill’s book! I love myself a good old man whore turned into a committed man. Kill is hot, he doesn’t do repeats but he loves women. Insert one night with Gina that he blows big time and his world is tilted. When she gets hired on by the band he can’t get away from her and over the connection they had that one night, but Gina wants nothing to do with him after being burned. She has way too much on her plate and she doesn’t want to play his games. But once kill sets his mind on making gina his, her defenses start to fail. I loved kill, he is swoon worthy while still being totally a-hole alpha. Such a Kill-er combination and gina is definitely a wildcat, she’s super sweet and caring but also feisty. I loved that she was so strong and definitely not going to be anyone’s doormat. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and the story is the perfect amount of fun flirty and emotional. Super excited for more from this series.. mace’s book is next!
Wow ! I’m speachless. … Jessica just Consume me with this book!
My house is a mess, my kids looks like they eating chocolate all day without washing their faces but, come on… how can it be any different when You have some hot stuff from Jessica to read
It’s my third meeting with Civil Corruption and as much as I love previous books, I must say that Consume is my FAVORITE 😉
Since 1st page I coudln’t put this book down, Jessica’s writting once again suck me in the world of hot rock stars world! And believe me pople… this is a HUGE compliment for Jessica’s work, because usually I don’t like reading about musicans.
Since reading sneak peek in Defile, I was impatiently waiting…. waiting for Gina’s and Killian story… waiting just like some growing up teenager with all drama involved (no offence to younger readers ).
I love them so much !
Gina sems to be tiny and shy but You coudln’t be more wrong. She’s will suprise You a lot during reading Consume.
You think that Killian is a bad boy-rock star, but for sure, he steals Your hearts.
I like that even if it’s steamy love-hate relationship between them, there’s also some story behind.
Consume by Jessica is worth every minute of Your time because Killian and Gina melt Your hearts
