Ok, so I already thought there just couldn’t be more thrilling things going on than in the last book, but Janie proved me wrong. Again. Set all thost computer-stuff aside – I honestly only understood half of it, since I’m lacking that special background – that is one hell of a story. Including all the possible and impossible things happening. And all thost twists and kept-up suspension all throughout the whole story is just incredible. You won’t be able to put your device aside. I just wonder, what’s next in the final book of the series. I can’t Imagine, what Janie’s got up her sleve but she’ll throw me for a loop – as usually…

This is the third book in The Risk series, we follow another action packed adventure with Bree and Tanner, as they travel to Dallas to assist with a complex case, unfortunately they are in town with Jeter and Tanner is incredibly uncomfortable with that fact. The relationship between Tanner and Bree is growing stronger and heading towards a happy ending. Can they overcome the latest obstacles to head home to their HEA?
This book is well-written and fast-paced, utterly enthralling. The characters are amazingly likable and relatable. The chemistry between them is sizzling. I’m absolutely loving this series.

This book pulls you along at a pace that leaves you as tense as the action is, and it’s wonderful. It’s an adrenaline-fueled read that kept me up reading. Bree and Tanner return, and, while this is possible to read as a standalone, the story is richer if you’re familiar with the characters. Tanner is so caring and supportive to Bree, who is socially inept because of her background, and, as a couple, they make your heart sing. There is tension regarding the possible escape of Jeter, Bree’s nightmare, which adds to the serial killer focus of the story itself. Almost anything else would be a spoiler, and I’m not depriving you of this story by adding one of those. This is definitely my favorite of the series so far, and I can’t wait for more.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
4.5 stars
Bree and Tanner are back and the suspense was awesome! And yes, the romance was good too, however, this series has me completely hooked because of the suspense elements! It all came down to timing. Janie Crouch has the timing technique down pat. Even when I knew where the case was heading, I was still anxious over Bree and Tanner’s every move. Who knew an awkward computer geek and charming sheriff’s deputy would have me tied up in knots to see what could happened next?!
Constant Risk was a thrilling read from start to finish! This will be a four book series when all is said and done. I do recommend reading them in order to fully appreciate the character growth and dynamics between Bree and Tanner. The suspense is an added bonus;)
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I received an ARC for this book. Janie Crouch has done it again! This book contains constant action, thrills and kept me on the edge. I read the book in one sitting, not being able to stop. Tanner and Bree are having a wonderful life. Tanner is ready to propose to Bree but is trying to find the right time. Whitaker asks Tanner to bring Bree to assist in an investigation involving the live feed of a woman in a box which is filling with water a drop at a time. Tanner takes her to Texas and they meet up with Whitaker. Bree works her magic with the computer and after a long session, she is able to help them find the woman and save her from drowning. After the rescue, she discovers something worse. In addition Jeter has secured a plea deal and is being transferred to another prison. The book contains twists and turns. One wonders if Jeter will actually make it to the new prison. In addition, what is the new development that Bree discovers? Will her skills help them solve the mystery? I thoroughly enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the next one. I would recommend the entire series to all who enjoy action, thrills and an excellent plot.
The third story in this series is not for the faint of heart. Though a stand alone, and good background information given to the reader, I would highly recommend readers to read the previous stories to enjoy the story even more.
This time around the quest is to save four women in time. Bree with her out of this world computer skills is their one hope to survive.
In the midst of the suspense , the romance continues between Bree and Tanner. Two seemingly opposite individuals who are really perfect for each other.
Another well written suspense romance by this talented author.
I was gifted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
There is such a sense of urgency throughout this book. It felt like I wouldn’t be able to read it fast enough to find out if they would be in time. It felt like the speed at which I read this book would determine their success or failure – that meant I absolutely couldn’t put it down. There are some serious parallels to the movie Untraceable that kept me in pulse-pounding, adrenaline-fuelled limbo while reading. I went into this book expecting that nothing would be quite what it appeared on the surface, but still I was fooled. Even right up until the end I was still on the lookout for something else. And in the meantime, it was almost like we were watching Tanner and Bree fall in love all over again as they showed us and everyone else watching just how important they are to one another. Together, this pair are just the cutest thing ever. I can’t wait to see where the next book takes us.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Another hit for Janie Crouch and her “Bree & Tanner” series. In this book Bree & Tanner go to Dallas for her and her super “computer brain” to help Dallas police solve a couple of drowning murders. Dallas also happens to be where evil Michael Jeter is in jail awaiting trial for crimes Bree brought to police attention. Even as large as Dallas is, you know somehow Bree & Jeter will cross each other’s path.
I love how protective Tanner is of Bree, definitely love is in the air, even with all the surrounding drama.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
Looking forward to the next book in the series.
This is a heart pounding rush against the clock with Bree working her magic with computers to save four women’s lives. It’s a serious and intense drama that has you completely enthralled. And, right in the heat of things Tanner is so incredible and supportive towards Bree that your heart melts.
“She’s not my type. She’s my everything.” (Pg. 153) You just can’t get more perfect than that right there! Another must read for those suspense enthusiasts who also need a bit of romance in the mix.
