From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes a suspenseful thriller about secrets and deception, passion and love, choices and consequences.
Every action has consequences.
Waking in an unfamiliar bedroom in a luxurious mansion, Claire Nichols is terrified to discover that a chance encounter led her into the cruel hands of her abductor, Anthony Rawlings. Claire has … hands of her abductor, Anthony Rawlings. Claire has no understanding of why she’s there, but it’s been made abundantly clear — she is now his acquisition and every action has consequences.
Learn the rules to survive.
Facing incomprehensible circumstances, Claire must learn to survive her new reality — every aspect of her livelihood depends upon the tall, dark-eyed tycoon who is a true master of deception. Driven by unknown demons, he has no tolerance for imperfection, in any aspect of his life, including his recent acquisition. Anthony may appear to the world as a handsome, benevolent businessman, but in reality Claire knows firsthand that he’s a menacing, controlling captor with very strict rules: do as you’re told, public failure is not an option, and appearances are of the utmost importance.
Captivate the captor.
To fit together the pieces of the puzzle, Claire must follow his rules. Will her plan work, or will Anthony become enthralled by Claire’s beauty, resilience, and determination, changing the game forever? If that happens, will either of them survive the consequences?
Nobody ever did or ever will escape the consequences of his choices. — Alfred A. Montapert

This book had my mind so damn twisted and confused it was insane!!! The characters are so well developed and the plot is crazy good. Every time I thought I might have had Anthony figured out he would go and do things that would blow my mind. If you are looking for steamy romance and some serious mind fuckery read this book!
Truth be told, I almost give-up reading this book because of Anthony Rawlings. His manipulative and intimidating attitude sometimes got the best of me, I want to throw my kindle and just stop. But my book friends, who love Anthony, told me to keep reading. And so I did!
After I finished the Consequences, I realized, that this is one of the best …
This book tore me up in a thousand different ways. From the very first page, I was hooked and might have been guilty of reading it beneath my desk when I should have been working. I’ve never read a book like this before or since.
This was a dark, challenging read but as a trilogy, it can’t be beaten in suspense, drama, and character growth.
This was the first Aleatha Romig book I read, and it is a game changer! Dark, dark, dark and lots of twists and turns. It will stay with you for a long time.
OMG, this book is so good. It is a dark mind f*** read!! This is filled with a sick man who gets off on abusing people and controlling them in every way. There is a lot of punishment in the story. I totally love dark books and this one was the best!!
I came into this booking thinking that it was going to be a Stockholm Syndrome turned love story. If that is what you are looking for, just stop now. It is no such thing. There is Stockholm, even the main character realizes that. There is, what seems to be, a love story. But be aware, this is no 50 Shades or Gabriel’s Inferno. This is flat out …
Loved them all and the writer. I have read all her books that she has ever written.
One of my FAVORITE books of all time! You love Tony, you HATE Tony. Then you hate yourself for loving him, oh and then you hate him. LOL
Totally awesome book. I recommend it over and over to people. 5 HUGE stars! A book that plays out like a movie while you read. I was mad, I cried, I laughed, I swooned and then I almost put my head …
I want to give it 5 stars but I am so angry! Not at Aleatha really although she is the perpetrator of this tale. Anthony is a hard man to like in this story. Claire is subjected to so many wrongs I have lost count and still marvel at her determination and grit. Consequences is the first book I have ever read that I was angry through the whole …
I’m not sure about how to rate this book. I really hated Tony throughout the whole book. It was such an abusive relationship and it brought back a lot of memories of a past relationship I had been in that was so bad for me. There is no way she could love him and right up till the end be thinking of having children with him when everything comes …
Imagine waking up in a strange bedroom and being told if you didn’t follow the rules you would be punished and public failure is not an option and not following the rules will be met with serious Consequences. This book is a psychological thriller. You have to admire Claire Nichols and will want to hate Anthony Rawlings
Aleatha Romig never …
OMG!!!!!! That’s all I can say about this book. It was phenomenal!! If you like a great dark romance with twits and turns you will love Consequences.
Wow, just WOW!!!!!
It’s been a while since a story has held my attention like this one. There was mystery and drama, thrills and chills. Sometimes I was yelling at the heroine, Claire. Sometimes I was yelling for her. Don’t get me started on the protagonist, Anthony. You would need to read the book to understand. And the ending is quite the twist. This story …
Lots of twist and turns but a great book.
I could not put this book down. It captured me from page one. It is sad, romantic,
scary, thrilling and just about everything you could want in a book.
I love all of Althea’s books. She is awesome
I just want want to say how deeply this story (all 7 books) dragged me into it. I reserve the right to change this review when I can find the words that will let me describe how it made me feel, but, it took me a while to process everything. I really loved it!
What can I say…
Anthony Rawlings . As evil, as abusive, as unrepentant, as vicious as they come. What’s more surprising is – such men do exist !! . I’ve personally had the misfortune of knowing such a person, they.never.change.
Thank god its a book and I can close it any time. But the story starts very innocently, tony meets claire in a bar and …
