She forgets that it’s just a game to him . . .This pretense they’re playing seems so real.
He challenges her to be the best.
To be more than just another pretty face.
To be true to herself.
She wants this man.
Not just wants but needs. Needs him.
But when she learns about his betrayal . . .
Her heart breaks.
Bleeding.
He didn’t have to do this to win at the game.
But he did anyway.
Surrendering … breaks.
Bleeding.
He didn’t have to do this to win at the game.
But he did anyway.
Surrendering his heart is winning her . . .
The hating game is no longer working, no matter how hard he tries.
He’s done manufacturing deceit to drive her away.
She doesn’t know this but she’s his weakest spot.
She taught him to embrace life to the fullest.
To love again.
But as his feelings for her deepen, so does his fear of another heartbreak.
And when an important figure from her past appears, it’s the perfect excuse to let her go.
If only every scorching fiber of his being wasn’t burning to win her back.
He’s afraid this is one battle he’ll lose.
Note: This is the third and last book in the Dangerous to Love series. Make sure you read Captivated, Book 1 and Captured, Book 2, in that order before reading Conquered, Book 3.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
After reading a few pages of the 3rd book, I decided to purchase the 1st two books to see what I had missed. It did help me to better understand the story.
I can see why both Georgette and Liam have not had successful relationships – neither one knows how to communicate very well and likes to keep secrets from each other. He acts like a jerk and she is trying to be someone who can just do a casual fling (which she cannot).
Who can’t relate to this story? Everyone knows someone who has been in this type of relationship – afraid of commitment, and afraid to communicate real feelings.
In my opinion, you really need to read the 1st 2 books before you can read the 3rd one, as I don’t believe they are standalones since the whole story revolves around Georgette and Liam.
I received a copy of this book through Hidden Gems ARCs for an honest review.
Julia Imari, ‘Conquered’.
Dangerous to Love Series, book 3.
A Hate to Love Romance.
As a Hidden Gems ARC reader I promised to review the books 2 (Captured) and 3 (Conquered) of this series. And got also for free the Prequel (Intrigued) and book 1 (Captivated). In the end I’ll submit reviews of all those 4 books
Here my review of book 3 ‘Conquered’.
In general: Love deepens.
Rating: 4 (of 5 stars).
The main characters were introduced in the prequel ‘Intrigued’
– Georgette ‘George’ Cook (24).
Her ambition is to become a fashion designer in Manhattan.
To pay the bills she works in a fashion boutique, where she uses successfully her decorative talents with the display window.
– William ‘Liam’ Brentley (ca 33).
A former model and later an accomplished fashion photographer. Survivor of a bad divorce. He’s about to start a new career, for his family owns a big company of fashion stores (TB International) and his old dad wants to retire.
In the first three books (prequel and book 1-2) of the Dangerous to Love Series the author describes the personalities of Georgette and Liam and their careers. Book 3 ended with a little cliffhanger (not my favorite ending): a hot sex scene, Liam asking ‘Cookie’ to live in his house and caring for his beloved dog Daisy. Moreover George is asked to join Liam’s company as an assistant of his design director Luka.
In this book 3 Julia Imari writes about Cookie and Liam’s road to their HEA. But there’s more: George’s development as an independent, strong-willed woman, Liam overcoming the trauma from hist first marriage and for both main characters their successes in their interesting careers.
At the end I had a few doubts about the credibility of Georgette’s performances in her job. To me it seemed a bit overdone, e.g:
– Modernising TBI by taking into the collection old suits designed by Cookie’s late grandpa?
– Liam winning a skeptical board to his side due to Georgette’s renovation of the TBI showroom; and that being a decisive factor?
But all in all I enjoyed the complete ‘Dangerous to Love’ series. An easy to read page turner containing some wonderful characters, good dialogues and a credible story taking place in the fascinating world of fashion with some exotic places in the background.
R. Huiszoon.
This is book three in the Dangerous to Love series and it is the conclusion to Georgette and Liam’s story. The ‘Hate to Love’ of the story I felt was more me with the characters than between the two characters. There is more than enough reasons for these two have these same feelings but I did not always them from them. Georgette and Liam some more as people and they find their way into each others arms at the end of the story. I enjoyed reading the series. Enjoy!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an ARC through Hidden Gems.
