When I stumbled into a mafia-run club seeking a job, I was looking for protection. Little did I know I’d need protection from him. Conor O’ Callahan was exactly the kind of danger I was trying to avoid. He was gorgeous as sin with an accent hotter than Hades, but that’s where the charm ended. He was also cynical, cold, and downright cranky. So, you could imagine my surprise when he gave me a … imagine my surprise when he gave me a proposition. Marry him or lose my life.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. I’ve learned to do what’s necessary to survive in this world, and that includes marrying a mobster. Regardless of what he might say, it’s only temporary.
It’s not like I’m going to fall for him.
Because that would be stupid, right?
The Boston Underworld Series consists of six full-length standalones that can be read in any order.

Zavarelli at her best again! The final book of the Boston Underworld Series packed some serious heat and action and packed serious punches. It was great getting to read Conor’s story and having most of the Irish Lads all back together. Terrific story.
Awesome mafia romance!!!
Ivy is hiding from the Locos, a brutal local street gang. She just wants to make enough money to get far away from them. She gets a job at Sláinte, the strip club owned by the Irish Mob. Crow is worried that Ivy is there because they killed her boyfriend and he’s trying to figure out what she knows. He tasks Conor with watching Ivy and taking her out if necessary. Conor takes on the job so he can prove himself to Crow and the rest of the crew. He takes one look at the dirty, skinny woman and decides she’s a waste of space anyway because she looks like a addict. Ivy’s got a secret she is hiding and when Conor gets the whole story from her he tells her that she must marry him or die. Ivy feels like she has gone from the frying pan into the fire and feels trapped. Grab this book today, it’s an excellent story and a wonderful read.
Any time Zavarelli announces an upcoming release, I am over the moon! when it’s this series..
Conor proved me wrong. I loved the way his mind works. I love his dedication and devotion to protecting every essence of Ivy.
strength and determination to making sure she overcomes the fucked up cards life has handed to her will just about make her everything
This was bittersweet. I will most definitely be rereading the BU series many many times!
5* Fecking Stars!!
It is so exciting to take a trip back to this series. It’s like coming home. The Boys of The Boston Underworld hold my heart, and although Crow may be my leading man, Conor rivals that bond. Conor deserved to have his story told and I am beyond overjoyed that A. Zavarelli complied. True to her writing style, Ashleigh’s proficiency at developing her characters will have the reader emotionally devoted and absorbed in the telling of the story.
I loved both Conor and Ivy’s characters. They were perfectly suited for each other. Ivy is a survivor. She will do whatever it takes to function or thrive in spite of misfortune. Conor is loyal, has integrity, and the tenderness he shows to Ivy and Archer is so tangible that it pulls at your heartstrings. Their biggest adversity is their uncertainty and inability to be vulnerable and honest to themselves and each other.
When shit goes down and Ivy is in danger, my heart beat so frantically that it just about gave me a coronary. This story left me exhausted and drained (in a positive way), from all the excitement and dramatic turmoil amidst the sexual tension and threats.
Be prepared to fall in love all over again with this Irish sweetheart and his cushlamochree (vein of his heart).
I have loved every single book in this series, and this one is no different. Conor was everything I’ve come to love in the Boston Underground. He’s hard enough to fit perfectly in their world, yet soft enough to steal my heart. His and Ivy’s chemistry is amazing, and I loved seeing their hearts come together after they were forced to mesh their lives.
Ivy is broken, but not broken enough to lose what’s most important to her. I loved her determination and drive to carve out a life for herself and Archer. I loved the way she accepted her new world and ended up falling into it like she belonged there all along. And I loved how Conor stepped into the role he was forced into and accepted Archer with open arms.
I loved seeing the characters from the previous BU books. I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving this series, these tough men and the women who own their hearts. This is one series I never want to come to an end.
“Welcome to the club. Ye best get used to it.”
Aye, and I’ve been so used to it since I met Crow, I’ve been craving these misfit killer muppets and Conor just lands on my kindle to satisfy my cravings for these Irish Lads!
It’s a perfectly written story from start to end, with just the right dosage of drama, angst, steam and danger to make it a churning pot-boiler. Ash has perfected the Irish Crew with one damaged character after another who are sadistic and ruthless when punishing and tender and protective when loving. These men know how to belong and own with the same ferocity and loyalty
Conor is the newest character we get to meet in Club Slainté owned by Boston Underworld, headed by Lachlan crow. He’s also the youngest rookie. Having no family or friends, down on his luck and having lost his younger brother, the brotherhood gives him a sense of belonging & a family, And they take care of their own. This is what Conor O’Callahan needs the most
Sometimes it’s a pain in the arse being the rookie, but even if it takes a lifetime, I’m willing to prove myself to the brotherhood.
And proves he does! When he’s asked to “take care” of a situation, he OWNS the situation. Smart move Conor!!!
Ivy is on the other hand a runaway rookie, a refugee who is hiding from Lenox Hill Gang-Locos salvo. Her life in danger and back to the wall, she’s homeless, penniless, hopeless.
She enters the club and her life changes forever, she is thrust upon Conor to be dealt with.
I can’t help her. She’s the one who decided to get wrapped up with the Locos. She’s the one who walked straight into the lion’s den, knowing what fate waited for her if Crow found out. She’s the one who’s been fucking with my head since she came into my life. This is on her.
It’s a very racy, very engrossing read, you don’t wanna step away even for a minute. The thrilling ride has same adrenaline rush, keeping in with the trope of the entire series.
He’s mafia. A killer. I couldn’t pick a worse guy for me out of a lineup. But I can’t deny that the longer I’m around him, the more he draws me into his orbit. It’s an impossible want. The moon might as well be chasing the sun.
Ivy’s struggle to come to terms with her situation with Conor’s battle to accept someone in his single sparse lifestyle, gives this book the extra edge. We get to meet some oldies and some newbies and business is going on in the usual barbaric fashion with dismemberment, torture, murder, all in a day’s work !!
the sun is high and it’s a beautiful day for a funeral.
Told ya, it’s the Irish tossers weekday schedule which they do without blink of an eye, without losing their appetite or sleep.
“Welcome to the club. Ye best get used to it.”
The Club is growing and hopefully we can have a Dom book next, Eh ash Lassie!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyable book.
4.5 stars for Twigs and her Irish Legend
I loved this book so much. Conor is the Boston Underworld. Ivy was the icing on the cake. Action, intrigue, page turning, hook line and sinker. You will not regret it.
Amazing read from start to finish. So sad to see this series end. It’s truly one of the best out there. From start to finish this author draws you on.
I’ve always had an insane amount of Love for the Boston Underworld series.
It’s one of those series I feel really passionate about.
From reading Crow ( book 1) I knew this series was going to be unforgettable.
With every book and character my obsession just grew stronger.
So Conor finally gets his book, the last in the series so it’s very bittersweet for me.
This Irish boy did not let me down. I already had a soft spot for him from previous books. Now I absolutely love him, especially reading how he came to be part of the Syndicate, my heart kinda broke a bit for him.
Conor has always felt he had something to prove to the other Brothers especially Crow. So when he gets tasked with a job from the man himself he jumps at the chance to prove his loyalty.
The job should be simple find out about the girl that’s been hanging around at the club and Do what’s necessary to protect the Syndicate.
Easy enough until Conor finds himself doing the very thing that could get him killed.
I loved Ivy, I thought she was so brave seeking employment in the club knowing exactly who owns it. Ivy hasn’t had an easy life, beat down and incomplete she’s a survivor.
She has a fire in her that you can’t help but admire.
The pull between her and Conor was intense. Both of them a little broken by life. They are perfect for each other. It’s not plain sailing, but the best things in life are worth taking a risk for.
I know this is the final book in the series and WOW! what a story to end with.
However I’m greedy where this series is concerned. So I’m hoping it’s a case of never say never from A. Zaverelli and the Boston Underworld.
The final book of the Boston Underworld is here with the story of Conor and Ivy..
Ivy doesn’t have anyone in her life, she felt in the path of a very evil man who used her and treats her less than anything she deserved.. she has a very big reason to hide and keep herself moving all around but life and circumstances will make her stay put and try to protect what she loves the most.
“I want her words, her thoughts, her smile, and her tears, I want everything from her”
Conor is mafia, he doesn’t really know other things outside this lifestyle, his past is always lurking reminding him of things he lost, things that keep hunting him till today.. He wasn’t ready for this, he didn’t ask for her, she is too much and he doesn’t know if he will be able to complete this task before he ends up falling in love.. one of the things that I love about Conor’s Characters is that he is super possessive taking care of what he loves the most even if he continues denying does feelings..
“He’s mafia. A killer. I couldn’t pick a worse guy for me out of a lineup. But I can’t deny that the longer I’m around him, the more he draws me into his orbit. It’s an impossible want. The moon might as well be chasing the sun.”
Conor was a very enjoyable roller coaster of emotions!! since the very beginning, you could feel the struggle of the main characters, not knowing what the future will bring them, afraid that they were, going to make a mistake and that the lines were blurring. both of them being stubborn and afraid to let themselves to fall, they continue their journey with doubts and fears that are holding back their love.
“This the man I fell in love with. The one who tends to my wounds and makes everything okay. My love for him Is savage and completely irresponsible, but it can’t be tamed”
So many great things to say about this book, you get to see so many of the previous Boston Underworld characters as well as some new that you will definitely fall in love with making the story even more great..
“You have my word. I will look out for the kid. On my life, no harm will ever come to him”
Conor, delivers a great story, making us fall in love with Conor and Ivy.. in each chapter their story gets more complex but deeper, recognizing the signs and the feelings that they belong together but at the same time afraid of recognizing all these feelings..
Another amazing book by A.Zavarelli!!!!
Great conclusion of the series!!
