Loved the book. Was one of three stories. Had to buy the next four in the series to find out what happened to the rest of the family.
Grabbed my attention from the start and wouldn’t let go. Plot and characters are superbly crafted in this series. Well worth the read.
3rd in Farraday brother’s series. My favorite so far.
Connor – 3rd brother in the Farraday clan. This is a great series! Can’t wait for the next installment!
Three for three! Connor is a beautiful novel that reinforces my love of the contemporary cowboy tales. An oil field roughneck and a wild horse wrangler, Connor is the epitome of the strength, gentleness and true heart of the cowboy. His love of the tough and dangerous oilfield can not compete with his dream of creating a ranch to train wild horses to become outstanding quarter horses. BUT that dream may be waylaid when the neighbor who agreed to sell his ranch and finance it dies before the deal can be complete. When the granddaughter and great granddaughter show up, Connor falls for both of them right off the bat. His interaction with the little girl who has a form of PTSD will melt the heart of anyone who reads the book, but some of his decisions may alienate the beauty who has final say on the ranch.
Connor Farraday has spent his time since his military service working the oil rigs saving his money to buy a ranch close to his family where he could raise & train horses. He’s finally resigned from his job & headed home to buy the land from his neighbor Ralph Brennan. Unfortunately, Ralph passes away before the transaction is complete & there is no guarantee his granddaughter will honor the agreement.
Catherine Hammond has come back to bury her grandfather. After her mother died, her father never mentioned her grandparents & until a few years prior, when she reconnected with Ralph, she thought they were already gone. Catherine is a lawyer working in her fathers firm & is under a lot of pressure. Her husband was killed in a car crash a few years ago & her daughter, Stacey, hasn’t spoken a word since. Stacey shows an affinity for animals even though her mother seems scared of them all.
Ms. Keniston has developed a wonderful series about the Farraday’s. Connor is a tough, sexy, alpha male but turns to butter in Stacey’s hands. I love the way the writer lets her main characters show the tender side they don’t realize they have. This heartwarming story is made even better by the fact that Connor is putting Stacey’s feelings & emotions higher than Catherine’s, even though he has feelings for her. Equine therapy does seem to help suffers of PTSD & other mental conditions & even though Connor knew Catherine wouldn’t approve, he wanted to do what was best for Stacey. I really love the way this series is tugging on your heartstrings & is not staying away from sensitive subjects. I can’t wait for the next one!
