Sharon Nelson, a Colorado woman, had her lover Gary Adams murder two of her three husbands. But more interesting than the crime itself is Olsen’s portrait of Nelson as a brash, trashy, manipulative sexpot who believed that she was entitled to (and got) everything and everyone she wanted: even her confession, given freely to police in a Pizza Hut in 1988, was anything but contrite. Moreover, Olsen … Olsen records the recollections of many community members who saw Nelson for what she was, yet seemed oblivious to the adultery, theft and murder under their noses (Publishers Weekly).

This true story was very informative and fast moving. It was a story I had not heard before.
Airport level fiction, but a fun, quick read about a truly crazy woman and truly gullible men.
Honestly I was not a fan of the writing style. As curious as I was to get to the information, it was hard to find in all of the circumlocution, non-chronological storytelling, and really overblown “dramatic” phrasing.
If you like biographies of psychopaths, this is an easy good read and entertainingl
Olsen never disappoints!
Terrible writing: redundant, misogynistic, poor narrative.
Great easy yet evil read
It was a fun read based on a true story. The end was disappointing, but apparently that’s how everything went down.
This almost didn’t seem like it could be a true story but, unfortunately it is. They only reason for 4 stars is about half way through there seemed to be a lot of mis-spellings and grammatical errors. It got better as I continued to read.
This book had no editor or a very inexperienced one. The structure of this book was…..well there was no structure. The main characters were interesting. The author made a point of the main characters’s beauty but the pictures provided didn’t back that up to the extent he raved andtherewas no description of who was In The pictures.
Uneven
Boring
The book was ok but the skipping around of time periods and husband’s was confusing.
This was a captivating book. This was a scary woman. It’s hard to imagine there are people walking among us like her!!!
This book jumped around with no notice. One paragraph is about Sharon and the pastor. The very next paragraph is about Perry and his wife without a break between paragraphs. I can’t keep up with it. It is so confusing and not well written at all!
Interesting, but the narrative bounced between times and actors with no indication of when a switch happened. I could usually figure out who, when, and why by the end of the first paragraph after a switch, but it would have been much easier if the author had used headings.
Good coverage of the story but not my favorite from this author.
Classic true crime. Well written.
Author did a great job telling the story, was hard to put my kindle down, wanted to get to the end of the story. Happy the people were put behind bars were they belonged.
This is the sort of skilled storytelling that keeps you completely tuned in. You ignore the world until the last word
