Sharon Nelson, a Colorado woman, had her lover Gary Adams murder two of her three husbands. But more interesting than the crime itself is Olsen’s portrait of Nelson as a brash, trashy, manipulative sexpot who believed that she was entitled to (and got) everything and everyone she wanted: even her confession, given freely to police in a Pizza Hut in 1988, was anything but contrite. Moreover, Olsen … Olsen records the recollections of many community members who saw Nelson for what she was, yet seemed oblivious to the adultery, theft and murder under their noses (Publishers Weekly).

I just was not able to get through it.
Well written true crime story.
Interesting read about a murder case I hadn’t heard about previously. I do take issue with the editing – maybe it is just the Kindle issue, but it is badly edited. This made for some confusing reading, as the author would be in the middle of discussing someone then the next paragraph is a whole different person/event. Didn’t flow properly.
Yeah, well it’s like watching a train wreck. Riveting and awful to see. This is one nasty woman. A fun read
A view of a sociopath who reeked havoc on a number of families through her greed.
A tragic story of murder by a woman who seemed to have it all, but nothing was ever enough. Her parents forced her into a marriage to a pastor at an early age, which seemed to set off a lifetime of cheating, manipulation, lying and many other vices that finally led to murder.
I enjoyed reading about the true crime story about this sicko woman …
Don’t bother. BORING account of a selfish person. Blah, blah, blah. Jumps around unnecessarily. Sooooooooo many typos. How did it ever get published?
Very repetitive. It focused too much on how irresistible the main character was, how much she loved men, etc.
OK but repetetive.
This book offered no real details about what actually happened with the crime. Seems the author spent most of his time writing about how beautiful the main character was. Then you finally see her picture and think WHAT THE HELL! I wouldn’t recommend this piece of garbage to anyone. A total disappointment.
Great true crime book! It never seizes to amaze me what people will do for money.
I really didn’t expect the ending. The book was hard to put down.
This is a good read. I only give it 4 stars because it ended kind of abruptly.
The story was very interesting and. Love books about true stories. It I found this one rather slow to read. The characters just never developed well and it was often like reading a newspaper account …… just the facts .
Based on true story, but rather plodding in the retelling.
Saddening and hard to believe someone called be this calculating
This was a good book. You never can believe that some people will turn into.
True life crime, unbelievable how twisted someone can be
A look into a troubled soul for sure.
Describes the characters well. The sentences tend to not flow well at times.
