“Fans of YA will totally get a kick out of McHugh’s novel not only because it’s funny, but also because the characters are so real.” — RT Book Reviews
Alexis Wyndham is the other type of Queen B—the Queen Bitch.
After years of being the subject of ridicule, she revels in her ability to make the in-crowd cower via the exposés on her blog, The Eastline Spy. Now that she’s carved out her place … that she’s carved out her place in the high school hierarchy, she uses her position to help the unpopular kids walking the hallways.
Saving a freshman from bullies? Check.
Swapping insults with the head cheerleader? Check.
Falling for the star quarterback? So not a part of her plan.
But when Brett offers to help her solve the mystery of who’s posting X-rated videos from the girls’ locker room, she’ll have to swallow her pride and learn to see past the high school stereotypes she’s never questioned—until now.
And don’t miss the sequel, The Queen B* Strikes Back, available NOW!

Cute YA book, it was mostly about the main character trying to maintain her B* status and still like the guy. There was one make out scene as far as romance goes. It was cute, butbI wanted a complete romance story and didn’t get it. I will have to read the next book, they didn’t even end on a HFN, it was as friends. Cute, but not enought to get me to immediately read book 2.
It was definitely a page turner. I couldn’t put it down! It was very witty and funny. Definitely a good read.
Great series. Ended up reading all the books in 3 days!
Ioved bad girl gone good
This book was just a lot of fun. It’s a quick, easy, entertaining read.
This book is something you’d never expect. You see this girl who is so different and has a different lifestyle from everyone else and she becomes close with the quarterback (not intentionally)!
This was basically a retelling of Taming of the Shrew set in modern high school. Loved the concept, really liked the “hero” character. I wasn’t as wild about the protagonist, Lexie. I sort of got her motives–I would have liked to have heard more of her back story–but I just didn’t find her that likable. She still came off a bit Queen B for me, even when she was trying to be nice or working for the compassion angle, as it were. I wasn’t sure what Brett saw in her, though they do have good chemistry. I would have liked the book better with less language (I really dislike reading F in YA literature, especially) and a more likable protagonist. That being said, I did enjoy it, and there is some funny humor throughout.
It was a fun read where the tables are turned on the popular girls by a girl who was shunned by them. She publishes a blog telling all their dirty little secrets and flushing out the corruption among the teachers as well. It ends up everyone is afraid of her.
Really cute series, it wasn’t what I expected but found myself reading the 3 book series on 4 days.
A good representation of what high school popularity contests are like. Great characters.
It was an easy read, but the story line was one I could not put down. The author developed the characters throughout the book in a realistic way, and I am sure that anyone who reads this, will remember, or knows, someone similar at their high school.
This is about a believable teen-aged girl, no superpowers or mystic interventions here. Her choices are surprizing.
Loved the concept and backstory. I read all three books!! Language made me squirm and because of that I probably won’t have these in my class library.
sweet story
Good book, has some humor in it but she does seem to try a little too hard to maintain her ‘title’. I want to read the next in the series to see where the story goes
laughed out loud multiple times. and thank goodness I am not a teenager! I thought it was different
Really good book for a realistic taste in reading.
I quickly ordered the others in the series
High school drama, took a while to get going
Alexis becomes her school’s mean girl when she decides to expose all the bullies, bad teachers, and shifty deals going on at the school. She launches a blog after her best friend betrayed her in front of the whole school in sixth grade. Now, empowered by her blog, everyone is afraid of Alexis and she rules the school unquestioned and without many friends. That is until then she meets Brett, he is the quarterback and she must work with him in a class to care for a baby simulator, thus keeping him away is impossible. This is an interesting look into high school drama. This is the funniest thing I’ve ever read.
