Everyone treats Phoenix like the baby of the family. Well, she is, but she’s twenty-two now, so she’d appreciate it if her family stopped acting like she’s a thirteen-year-old who needs a curfew. Wanting to escape her family house, she takes a nanny job never realizing how appealing a single dad could be, until Griffin answers the door.
Ok so I have been waiting on Phoenix’s book and I didn’t think I would get it as soon as we did but we did!!! And I was surprised at how Piper and Rayne flipped her book all kinds of around on us!!!! I was not expecting any of that but I loved every single moment of this book!!! Even the parts where I absolutely cried my eyes out and wanted to throw my kindle across the room!!! And lord help me with that epilogue!!! I think my heart stopped with it and how am I supposed to wait for the next book on that note!!!! I’m seriously going to have to have a talk with Piper and Rayne on that one….lol This is becoming my favorite series by them by far!!! I cannot recommend it enough!!! And when can we possibly give more than 5 stars?!?!? Like this book is a solid 100!!!! By Tina
Another Bailey to fall in love. Phoenix has always been the headstrong Bailey, a complete opposite of her twin and she has her sights sent on being a famous singer. Griffin is looking to build the best life for his son, Maverick. When the opportunity to work for the newest resident in Lake Silverlake presents itself, she never expects to gain so much more than a career. I enjoyed how Griffin, Maverick and Phoenix mesh as a unit and with the extended Bailey family. I love the glimpses into the other Bailey’s lives, and of course no story is complete without Grandma Dori (The Ghost of Christmas Future) and her interference in all of her grandchildren’s lives. Cannot wait for the next installment!
Phoenix and Griffin are everything. Lana~White Hot Reads
The Bailey family is one of the funniest fictional families I have ever read. Phoenix is the youngest of the Baileys and has always been seen as spoiled. I would call it confused. She feels like she doesn’t fit into her families perfect world since she wants to be a singer. Griffin is a music producer and she thinks this is her way into Hollywood. She becomes Griffin’s nanny and things progress between them but he’s not sure he can keep her since he is helping her get to her dream. The ending of this book is just pure WOW. Need the next Bailey book now.
I liked Griffin & Phoenix together in the first half of the book . The second half of the book I didn’t feel as much of a connection to them both relationship wise. I felt their was little climax before the story wrapped up.I did miss posts of buzz wheel in this book. The epilogue & being caught up with everyone was the highlight of the book for me, besides Maverick’s character.
The writing duo known as Piper Rayne is so talented with writing stories and characters in which the reader can immediately identify with. They also are so witty that one often laughs out loud while reading. I mean, when the opening line to the book is “Did he just pick his nose?”, one has to find out what is going on here. Confessions of a Naughty Nanny continues the saga of the Bailey siblings in Lake Starlight Alaska. Phoenix is the somewhat misunderstood free spirit of the family who has her sights set on musical stardom as a singer. She tried to make it on her own before in LA, but returned home unsuccessful in her pursuit with the family saying “we told you so”. Music is her passion, but how can she make it with no contacts or family support? In walks Griffin Thorne and his 8-yr old son, (don’t call me Mav,) Maverick . Griffin is a record producer who is fed up with the music business and its fake, backstabbing ways. He moves to Lake Starlight to start a new life. As he finishes his house, he needs a nanny for Maverick. Events thrust Phoenix into his path. She doesn’t tell him she is a singer looking for a break, but takes the job as his nanny. Of course, the truth comes out that she can sing and that she applied for the job under false pretenses.
Theirs is a relationship full of ups and downs and an undeniable chemistry that neither can ignore, but they also gain a mutual respect for one another. We cheer them on throughout the book and hope they can overcome whatever obstacles stand in their way. Seeing little Maverick warm up to Phoenix, the Baileys, and his new home is truly heartwarming. Can’t help but love the little guy. The wonderful Bailey clan gathers around for love and much needed support.
Confessions of a Naughty Nanny is clever, romantic, witty, and a pleasure to read.
He’s lost his spark. She’s caught his fire. When a little white lie ignites an explosive attraction, it’s inevitable that someone is going to get burned. Phoenix and Griffin are quite a pair. The single dad who has lost his way and the dreamer hoping to make her dreams come true. When opportunity knocks neither is ready for the fireworks, but they’re bound to enjoy the ride. Rayne struck a chord with the poet in me with Confessions of a Naughty Nanny. From sinfully, naughty to hilariously, funny and heartachingly, delicious, Phoenix and Griffin hit all the right notes with my heart.
With each visit to Lake Starlight, I fell more in love with this little town and its people. Confessions of a Naughty Nanny was my sixth trip to this charming Alaskan town to visit the Bailey clan. Phoenix and Griffin’s story was filled with humor, family and love. I absolutely had a wonderful time from the beginning to the end.
I loved how sassy and headstrong Phoenix was. She was determined and bold in trying to achieve her dream. Even though her family saw her as a spoiled and rebellious girl, she was vulnerable and insecure inside. Griffin was older and wise. His love for his son, Maverick, and his wanting to give what was best for Phoenix was selfless. He had made significant sacrifice because of them and that broke my heart.
Their relationship was slow building and the sexual tension between them was intense. There were so many risk factors, such as the eleven years age gap, a kid, and a meddling family, to consider before they proceed. I loved the witty banter between the couple and the vulnerability they shared even when they are at different stages of their life. They fit each other perfectly but they just didn’t see it at the beginning.
It was always fun to catch up with the Baileys. Grandma Dori and her sidekick Ethel did some much needed meddling this time. I was crying happy tears by the time I finished reading the epilogue. I cannot wait for the novella that will be coming out in spring 2020 to meet the new additions to the Bailey clan. In addition, Juno’s jaw dropping revelation at the end had me longing for summer 2020 to come sooner. If you haven’t started The Baileys series yet, I highly recommend you to start your vacation to the little charming town of Lake Starlight ASAP.

Confessions of a Naughty Nanny was another entertaining and awesome visit with our favorite family in Alaska!
Phoenix has always been the Bailey that hasn’t quite found her way. She and her twin sister Sedona are the youngest of the nine Bailey siblings and Phoenix is tired of always being looked at as a failure by the rest of her siblings. Her dream is to make is as a singer, but is that really going to happen when she’s already been to LA and was forced to come home?
Griffin Thorne needs a change. After years in the music business and the hustle and bustle of LA, not to mention a plane crash that had his life flashing in front of his eyes, he’s ready to spend time with his son and in order to do that, they move to Lake Starlight, Alaska where he knows he’ll be far away from the spotlight. When they arrive in Alaska, Griffin knows he needs to find nanny for his eight year old, Maverick.
When a chance encounter puts Phoenix, Griffin and Maverick all in the same place, and Phoenix learns what Griffin is looking for, she agrees to be Maverick’s nanny and in turn hopes that maybe, just maybe, getting close to Griffin will help her get the break she’s always wished for. While Phoenix might not have been the traditional choice for a nanny, it turns out she and Maverick have a very sweet bond and she seems to be the best thing for him.
As Griffin and Phoenix begin to spend more time together, the sparks begin to fly. While there are plenty of things that the two of them see as potential stumbling blocks, their connection is undeniable. Will the things that they were so concerned with end up causing issues in the end, or will these two unlikely matches have found their person where they least expected it?
I love the Bailey family to pieces. It was nice to hear about what was going on with other members of the family and Grandma Dori was up to her usual antics, which always make it entertaining! This was a fantastic addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next book. Piper Rayne definitely left us wondering how things are going to go when we revisit Lake Starlight!
With each new story, I am falling in love even more deeply and madly with the Baileys and Lake Starlight. Piper Rayne has created this magical world with wonderful people who have become part of my life. I cheer for them, feel genuine happiness with every milestone they achieve, feel sad with their heartbreaks and feel I know them for real. I don’t think I can give any higher praise to a story. Phoenix and Griffin’s swoony and sexy journey is another memorable addition to this world.
Phoenix is the youngest sister and so she is a bit spoiled and under overprotective scrutiny of her siblings. I love this girl for her defiant attitude, free spirit and spontaneity. And I love her hidden sides even more. She wants to be a singer and her brother Denver’s buddy Griffin can be the perfect opportunity. As he is a celebrity and super successful music producer. And he is moving to Lake Starlight with his kid Maverick. And he needs a nanny. So Phoenix grabs the job by some white lies. And soon she gets attached to this family beyond her career dreams. But there are obstacles. Griffin may not take it well when he comes to know she initially had an ulterior motive. And what will happen after Griffin helps her to get her dream which is miles away from Lake Starlight?
Griffin is an amazing and fascinating character. He is almost a decade older and he has seen a lot of ugliness in music industry. The hurt and sufferings from his personal life has left him sceptical and hardened. But Phoenix changes him and claims his heart like never before. The sacrifices he made for his love made me swoon and cry. Yes he made some stupid decisions those broke their hearts. But he has a golden heart with very sexy and charming personality. Their chemistry was electrifying with the touch of forbidden thrill. Nanny, coworker, best friend’s sister, age gap- so many differences. But they are made for each other. Griffin pushed her limits so that she can be better and can reach the stars with her talents. And Phoenix gave his creativity and liveliness back. And of course I had the pleasure to revisit all my fav Baileys with all their hilarious and entertaining updates.
Confessions of a Naughty Nanny by Piper Rayne was a perfect combination of sweet, sexy, funny, intense and emotional. I loved the characters. I loved the story line. I loved the smooth and smart writing. It appears I cannot hate nothing when it comes to the Baileys!
Received ARC for Honest review
This is the first I’ve read from this author, and although this is #6 in the series, I followed along just fine. I do like the large family in a small town dynamic The Baileys have. All of the different personalities/family roles are fun to watch.
I loved how Phoenix and Maverick were kindred spirits of sorts, she understands him like nobody else has and he has a hard time trying to figure out if it’s for real or not.
Phoenix is, at times, a typical 22 year old. She has skewed expectations, but isn’t afraid to go after her dreams full throttle. Then there’s the side that’s wise beyond her years, she seems to know the right thing to say at the right time.
Griffin had it all, until it all fell apart. He moved he and his son to a remote town in Alaska to get away from the glitz and glamour to start fresh. Sometimes you don’t know what you’re looking for until its right in front of you or all around you. When he has a chance to have it all again, will he reach out and grab it or will he let it slip through his fingers for the future that has always been just a dream?
5 Star Review Confessions of a Naughty Nanny (The Baileys #6) by Piper Rayne
I fall more in love with this series, the Bailey’s and their circle of friends as I read each new addition. I adore small town romances and often find myself wishing that I could be a part of the Lake Starlight, Alaska community.
Whenever I pick up a Piper Rayne book about the Bailey’s I know there will be plenty of humour, family and romance. Confessions Of A Naughty Nanny is full of love, family fun shenanigans and ticked all the boxes for me.
I love Phoenix and Griffin together, what an absolutely awesome pairing these two made. I also loved the relationship that Phoenix has with his son, Maverick(don’t call me Mav).
Phoenix has always been the least successful Bailey(in her view) and having to return home after her singing career stalls, has left her with doubts and insecurities.
Learning that Declan’s friend, ex music producer Griffin Thorne, has moved to Lake Starlight to start over, Phoenix is desperate to meet the man who could reignite her singing career, however Declan refuses to introduce her. Phoenix being the resourceful woman she is, manages to meet and get hired as a nanny for Maverick.
I loved how feisty, spunky and determined Phoenix is, she is enthusiastic and yet underneath the surface is a woman who is extremely vulnerable.
The banter between them had me almost in tears at times, such was the humour. The chemistry between the two is so intense, that you can almost feel the sparks flying.
From start to finish, I was captivated by this story. There is so much to love about this story and I hate that we have to wait for so long for Juno’s story. As always Grandma Dori almost steals the book and it was wonderful catching up with the Bailey clan.
I have yet to read a book by these two I didn’t love! So good just like all the rest! The story was great and I loved the characters of course. Maverick was a super cute addition that really help soften that black little heart Phoenix had going on. Lol. I really liked how much Griffin was there for her and helped her out. They worked together really well and seemed to fit together perfectly. Plus the added bonus of the rest of the family! Plus a bombshell at the end! Loved it!
Piper Rayne blows me away! Book 6 and still on FIRE! The Baileys are my favorite family. Phoenix is just my kind of girl, she knows what she wants and she doesn’t stop until she gets it. Even being a ‘fake’ nanny to the child of super producer of stars to get her in. Only she realizes that there is more to life than just being a super star.
This book get 10 Grammys from me! Be prepared to spend your day or at least a few hours devouring this book!
Another enjoyable book by Piper Rayne! This is the sixth book in the Bailey series that are centered on the nine Bailey siblings in a small Alaskan town. What is fun with this series is that the authors tackle a different romance trope in each book. This book centers around Phoenix Bailey, the youngest (along with twin sister Sedona) of the Bailey clan. Phoenix is a bit adrift, she tried to make it in LA as a singer, but came back to Lake Starlight with her tail between her legs. After trying her hand at the various family businesses, she cannot seem to find her place. When she happens upon Griffin Thorne, Lake Starlight’s newest resident, and former music producer, she may have exaggerated her child caring background to finagle a job as Griffin’s sons nanny. This sets up the forbidden Nanny trope (as well as the forbidden friend’s younger sister trope). Griffin and Phoenix are both likable characters and their romance was fun to follow. What kept this from being a five star read for me was that I felt that the romance was a bit rushed. I would have liked a little more interaction between Griffin and Phoenix to see the love develop. Overall it is a great read in a fun series. I received an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
I just finished the arc for this book. Another amazing Bailey story. I was a little sceptical because Phoenix acted like a spoiled brat in the other. However, I fell in love with her and Griffin. She had a whole other side that she was protecting and wouldn’t let anybody see. Griffin was amazing for her. The chemistry was perfect and they found their other half. They went through so many obstacles to co.e out on top. Such a great book! Can’t wait for the next one!
This book will make you cry happy tears.
We’re now on book six and it’s Phoenix’s turn. She and her twin sister Sedona are the youngest of the nine siblings and Phoenix is the most headstrong out of them all. She is tired of being looked upon as a failure by her brothers and sisters and just wants her one moment in the spotlight.
But, L.A, didn’t supply her dream and she had to return home, now she’s just aimlessly going from one job to another. Until she discovers that Griffin Thorne is coming to town.
Forget Santa, Griffin is the man who Phoenix would write her list to if only Devon would give her his address… or phone number!!
Griffin is a big-time music producer… or he was until he decided to leave it all behind and come stay in Alaska. He’s a single dad and needs a nanny for his young son, Maverick.
In a quirk of fate, the pair meet in the bakery and before he knows what hit him, Griffin is offering the nanny position to Phoenix.
She’s more than happy to accept, and secretly hopes he hears her singing and will help make her dreams come true. But, as time passes, their initial attraction only grows stronger and eventually becomes impossible to ignore.
This is a sweet, sexy and steamy story. Phoenix is sassy and snarky, headstrong and bold but still really just a young woman and puts a lot of faith in Griffin. He’s eleven years older, and in some ways, he’s jaded, but he’s vulnerable too, and when he does hear Phoenix sing he can’t help but want to see her star shine.
But what happens when the snow-covered slopes of Alaska are exchanged for the sandy beaches of L.A?

P.S. I adored the epilogue, I was so happy and tears were running down my cheeks by the time I had finished it. I loved catching up with all the Baileys and Gram’D. I can’t wait for the next book. Bring it on, Juno!!
Piper Rayne have done it again! Honestly every time I read another one of their books I love it more than the last. Phoenix is the youngest of the bailey siblings, she feels a failure, she came back to her home town after her dreams of making it as a singer in LA didn’t go to plan. She’s going from job to job trying to find something else but in her heart she has always wanted to be a singer. Griffin needs to leave LA, his career as a music producer is done and he decides after visiting his friend Denver that Lake Starlight will be the new home for him and his 8 year old son Maverick who needs a nanny! Griffin and Phoenix ‘s paths cross and before you know it Phoenix is the new nanny. Sparks start to fly pretty much straight away. Denver, Phoenix’s brother and friend of Griffin’s just about has a coronary when he finds out! No spoilers so I am going to leave it there but I absolutely loved this and loved Phoenix. Loved catching up with the rest of the Bailey’s. Grandma D is on fire! Can’t wait till the next one in the series.
I received an arc of this and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
