From Abigail Davies comes a laugh out loud, unputdownable, romantic comedy, choked full of hilarious awkward moments. Confession One: I was a klutz.I thought I’d grow out of it, but evidently I didn’t.It’s not fun to look like a fumbling toddler when you’re twenty-six. Confession Two: I had a standing appointment at the local ER.It wasn’t by choice that I knew all the doctors names–it was … wasn’t by choice that I knew all the doctors names–it was necessity.
But that was about to change.
Confession Three: I hated the sun yet I lived in LA where it always shone.
I supposed that was one plus to being sent to New York for the next eight weeks.
That was until I got there.
Arm veins, dimples, and THE sexiest voice known to man were my weakness, and he had every single one of them.
Confession Four: He was my new boss.
I could control myself though, right?
The city of dreams… a klutz’s worst nightmare.
Eight weeks. A klutz. And a drool worthy boss.
What did you get when you crossed a klutz with a GQ model lookalike?
I was about to find out.

Violet is a klutz of the largest proportion! She is sent to New York for an 8 week stint as the PA for the CEO of the company she works for. What ensues will leave you in stitches! You are privy to the inner dialog of how how the boss is, who drew the dicks, a trip the ER, flaming cheese monkeys and some life changing events.
This book was hysterical and had me literally laughing out loud! The old lady in Rockefeller Center was priceless, her friendship with JJ was beautiful and the one liners were brilliant!
I absolutely loved this book!!!!
This book is hysterical! I laughed so hard at Vi and her antics. Making the easiest of things tragic with her normal self.
Axel is a smokin hot serious business man that gets caught in the middle of Vi’s mishaps and what happens is pure gold.
If you want a good laugh with some fire mixed in you need to read this book.
I adored this book!! Made me smile and laugh so hard 🙂
Had another re read of this story today and loved It just as much as the first time.
This was my first read by Abigail Davies and it won’t be my last.. this has so many LOL moments throughout I lost count!
So Violet is a klutzy girl.. everything she tries to do goes wrong in one way or another so when she goes from LA to New York to work for a few weeks her unlucky streak continues starting off with her closing her skirt in a door ripping it off upfront of her new boss!
Axel is the bossy boss who shows Violet no mercy.. that is until she injuries herself while out one night.
Complete opposites do attract though right?
Would recommend this book to others and look forward to reading more by this author!
It has been a long time since a book has made me laugh out loud and cringe at the same time.
Vi is a walking talking disaster but you can’t help but love her. Things happen to her in this book that has happened to all of us but for her it isn’t a one time thing. The thing I loved about her is she owned it. Whether it was talking to Axel or an ER doctor, she just accepted this part of her.
Axel started out being this pretty cookie cutter cut throat CEO, but the more he hung out with Vi you got to see another side to him. He never made her feel bad and he started anticipating things to go wrong and helped her.
These two were fun to read about. I’m really glad I took a chance on this new to me author and gave this book a try.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I thought the titles for the chapters were funny and a really good idea.
I really loved Violet she is absolutely and amazing and makes this book addictive.
This book made me laugh out loud, but it also made me cry.
This to me makes Abigail Davies a really good author for being able to get me so engrossed in the characters that it makes me emotional.
I have already purchased the next book and can’t wait to read it.
If you are like me and accident prone, you will find this books so recognizable and funny as hell
I absolutely loved this book! I was smiling and laughing the whole way through! Violet was just adorable and refreshing. And Axel was perfect so sweet and sexy and loving here for all her quirkiness. The storyline was quick to read and enjoyable. I definitely recommend everyone read this book!
This book had me laughing so much and I couldn’t put it down. It was also full of romance and hot scenes. A book I didn’t want to end, and I’d definitely recommend
Davies delivers a light hearted romcom. There were several interactions between the characters that made me chuckle. The sexual frustration and attraction between Violet and Axel was almost palpable at times.
Ultimately it didn’t hold my attention throughout and I found myself skimming the last 30%. The last part of the story seemed predictable and somewhat rushed.
There were a few inconsistencies with the timeline, such as Violet wearing a tank top and shorts in November while in NYC. I live in NY and there is never a day where it’s warm enough for shorts and tank top, especially if out on the water.
A wanted to read this book from the moment my eye caught sight of the amazing cover and I can confess that this story was simply fantastic! I loved the characters, the clever wordplay, the funny references and the super storyline. Well done to the author who brought the biggest smile to my face with this feel good book!
I adored this book!! Vi is the epitome of a klutz and someone the majority of us can relate to. She’s witty, weird (in all the good ways), and totally eccentric; all the great makings for a heroine that you can really root for. Throw in an off-the-charts sexy CEO, a stray cat, and a little spice, and you have yourself a romcom that is pee-your-pants funny!
This is Abigail’s first attempt at a romcom, and she absolutely smashed it out of the park! The endearing side characters will also capture your heart, I can’t wait to read their stories. Confessions of a klutz is not to be missed out on.
Ok I knew from the description and the cover that this book would be good. But I had no idea -really, no freaking idea how amazing it would be. I read it in one sitting and I couldn’t stop laughing, gasping, and yes, there were a few tears. I LOVE Vi and Axel and Abigail Davies knows her way around a romantic comedy, let me tell you. 5 stars, I will read it again and again. I’m in love. Highly recommend it!
4.5 Stars for this hilariously funny read! I absolutely adored Violet. She was quirky, fun and completely unpredictable! A complete indulgence to lose yourself in!
Violet is endearing. She’s a disaster waiting to happen at any given moment. The things that come out of her mouth will leave you laughing out loud. You just never know what’s going to happen next.
A new job brings her her new boss and he’s HOT! She’s sent to temporarily fill in for a colleague in NY as a PA to the boss. He’s more reserved and isn’t quite sure what to make of Violet at first. She constantly keeps him guessing!
These two are just the perfect match. Axel is attracted to Violet and can no longer hold back. Good thing it’s completely mutual. When they decide to cross the line and become more than employee-employer, it’s electric! A super hot and sexy read that will leave you smiling. I will be looking forward to reading more from this author.
This is a book I am definitely glad I picked up. It’s the prefect light, funny, and sexy read that I can stand behind.
I will say, at first, I was a little apprehensive. The quintessential rich business man and the secretary trope almost made me roll my eyes. Almost. This is most certainly not the cliche’ that I usually come across.
Axel isn’t the usual closed-off, rich, playboy you find in books. He ends up being a very laid back successful businessman. He is sweet when it’s warranted. He is closed off in the right places. He is all around a character that I loved.
Vi is the perfect match for Axel. She is funny and quirky. And yes, a klutz. An extreme klutz. Her klutiness is what makes her such a wonderful character.
I really enjoyed this book. From the warm and fuzzies, to the laughs, to the happily ever after. This story kept me entertained from start to finish.
I enjoyed this book. It had you laughing and you could just see this happening, the klutz in you coming out because of nerves. You’d then cry when things seemed to go so wrong with love. It was a funny true to life story. Very refreshing, a break from some of the same old stories.
Violet AKA “Vi” is told by her boss to report to the CEO in New York. She finds him so insanely attractive, she can barely contain herself. She wants to do her job well.
Axel is attracted to Vi right from the start. He knows as her boss, he has to stay away. She makes him want to protect her. Can this be more than the surface heat?
This story just grabbed me right away. I loved the humor that was woven throughout the book. I truly enjoyed the heat between these two as a couple. The banter was lively and the pace went really well. I cannot wait to read the next installment in the series!
The title of this book says it all and you can’t help but love it and relate to parts of it. It has everything you could want in a RomCom. It has Romance…. ‘oh my’ I loved Vi and Axel. Their chemistry well that was just off the charts and they were so good together and so perfect together even if she did cause mayhem when they were together. They had you laughing at one point and getting hot under the collar at another point… It’s jam packed with laugh out loud moments and I bet if you were to look closely you will find that you can relate to some of it. I loved the little confession boxes at the beginning of each chapter they had me laughing as much at the book did.
This book is laugh out loud funny and I was crying with laughing at one point to which I was getting funny looks off the other half…. I loved it and couldn’t put it down and this is by far my fav book by this author and I can’t wait for the next one… I highly recommend this book it sure got me out of my book funk…
Omg this book was so hilariously funny and easy to read! I haven’t read the author before but if she keeps up writing rom coms i will definitely want to read more!!
They say laughter is the best medicine and this book came at a time when I needed to do just that!!
Boy oh boy is Violet a disaster, klutz, however you put it!! Snort laughing, giggling was had whilst reading this hilarious story! I kind of want to be friends with her, I feel like I need someone like her in my life, she could be the calm to my crazy lmao!!
And her boss Mr Taylor??!! Well you could really feel the sizzling tension between them! I was shouting in my head ‘just get it on already ‘
This book is ridiculous!!!so flipping ridiculous you definitely need to read it! Guaranteed laughs!!!

Tears from laughing so hard!!!
This book was amazing and steamy and just incredibly enjoyable I didn’t want it to end! I just loved the characters, loved the whole storyline so much I just cannot wait for more of the series!
Kudos to the author for writing such a witty book!
When self-proclaimed klutz Violet goes to New York for a temporary job, she isn’t expecting her boss to be some type of man god that makes her brain short circuit. She was however expecting all the chaos that comes from her awkward self. Ripping her skirt on the door the first meeting… check, stumbling around in her new high heels and looking odd… check, the list goes on. Can Violet make it through the next few weeks with minimal damage? Will Violet ever get to know just what her boss is thinking when he gives her those long looks?
This was an ok read with some really funny bits. TBH I think the headers of each chapter were my favorite part of the book, those had me cracking up. As for the story, the plot was really good, I just wanted a bit more from the story itself, a lot seemed to happen “behind the scenes”. I just feel like there was more that could have happened. I give this 3.5 stars.
