Confession One: I was a self-confessed chatterbox.Words were my best friend. They loved me almost as much as I loved my pajamas and unwashed hair.Confession Two: I hated outside people.I was happiest sitting on my sofa, my favorite show in the background, and my laptop open while I worked.Being my own boss was freaking awesome. So why the heck had I accepted this new teaching job on campus?Going … teaching job on campus?
Going back to the sunny state was the last thing I wanted to do.
It was only meant to be for one day—one talk.
But life had a funny way at throwing you for a loop.
Confession Three: I was the best secret keeper.
It was ironic considering I never stopped talking. But I’d do anything for my best friend.
Until him.
Confession Four: I’d never met anyone like him.
He was different, but not in the way that everyone else viewed him. He made my heart stutter and my breath catch.
But worst of all, he made my words disappear.

Just as steamy, witty and, at times, as cringe-worthy as Confessions of a Klutz, Confessions of a Chatterbox starts off on a very explosively funny high then slows down to a slow burn that lets readers get to know the inner workings of Ella’s mind. As much of a chatterbox as she professes to be, Ella keeps a surprisingly good amount to herself. She keeps secrets better than most and even though she rarely feels the need to censor herself, she’s never cruel with her words unless she finds it necessary.
Her quailty of letting it all hang out makes her someone who is very open to other’s flaws and unique personalities, which makes her perfect for someone like JJ, whose honesty and intensity is off putting to most people. Ella finds a peace she didn’t realize she needed with JJ, and JJ finds someone who is willing to embrace all of his quirks and intensity just to help him feel safe and loved.
I laughed a lot with this novel and loved the sweet, honest intimacy between JJ and Ella. Other than a few spots of cringy events, where I almost stopped liking Ella for some of her decisions, I think overall this is well worth the read.
If you love a book that will make you laugh from start to finish, then this is one for you. Loved it
Abigail hits it out of the stratosphere with another addition to her Confessions series!
I couldn’t wait for Ella’s book, and she did not disappoint. It has everything you want (and more) from the perfect romantic comedy, with an added element of a “different” hero who you will absolutely fall in love with!
JJ is everything. EVERYTHING.
As his and Ella’s relationship develops, it’s written so beautifully. It’s real, pure, honest, because JJ doesn’t do it any other way.
I laughed out loud several times during reading this and could NOT put it down!
If you’re looking for a lighthearted romance that will have you laughing for days, PICK UP THIS BOOK!!!
