His best traits:
He’s kind of hot, I suppose.
He has a working car.
He sings to me and brings me coffee.
Nothing ever gets to him, even when I add more people to our carpool.
His worst traits:

I don’t like him. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself.
After all, it’s not about how fast you get there. It’s the journey. Right?
Damn this carpool.
You’d better buckle up.

This was hilarious!!
Liz is an introvert to the T and she is constantly annoyed by this man she works with who won’t leave her alone. This HOT man who is quite the gentleman!
The characters you instantly fall in love with. They are weird, quirky and just perfect. My kinda people!
Every minute of this book was chock full of entertainment down to the very last page. Got it as an eBook but Loved so much I’m buying the paperback too!
This was another super cute quick read. I really liked Liz and Finn and all the characters in the carpool. The scenes in the car with all of them were hilarious. While I did really like Liz she was super stubborn and there were times I just wanted to shake her. She was used to being alone and that’s how she preferred it. Really had no friends and no love interest. Then in steps Finn. He was super charming and funny. He basically thrusts himself into Liz’s life and pulls her out of her comfort zone by first making her carpool with him and then slowly they become friends. There is a little bit of angst and misunderstanding mostly because of Liz. But in the end it all worked out. Can’t wait to read other books by Dawn.
This is what nightmares are made of (for me at least)! Stepping out of your comfort zone and entering into a world of complete strangers. Such a light hearted story with so much fun, romance, and humor I couldn’t put it down. Loved this book and can’t wait to read more from this author.
Confessions of a Carpool Captive will easily go down as one of my favorite romcoms of all time, and Dawn L. Chiletz has officially become one of my favorite authors. When I read her previous novel, The Fabulist, it was one of my favorite reads of 2016, so I had high expectations coming into this book. And it did not disappoint!
Confessions of a Carpool Captive is one of the funniest novels I have ever read. It had me laughing so hard that I had to take breaks just so that I could catch my breath and wipe off the tears that were streaming down my face. The humor was never overdone. Everything felt so authentic because Dawn writes in a way that makes you feel connected to the characters. I want to be best friends with these people. I want to Carpool with them to work every single day just so I can laugh at Kel’s inappropriate jokes and listen as Emerson tells him off.
But my favorite thing of all would have to be the chemistry between our main character Liz and her sexy Coworker Finn. The buildup of their relationship was perfect. I felt them growing closer as the book went along, which made their relationship believable and realistic. Finn is literally my perfect man. My favorite book boyfriend of all time. Every Liz needs a Finn to come in and remind them why love is so important.
So as you can see, I loved this book. I have nothing negative to say (which I should tell you is kind of rare for me). My only issue is that I now have to find a way to get rid of this terrible book hangover. I seriously miss these characters already.
