People are complex.Love a double-edged sword. And when it comes to a broken heart, there are no rules, only time… a reality show that inadvertently saved his life.
But behind the shine of celebrity, behind the easygoing nature, a crippling truth fills Julien with pain and self-loathing. It’s a truth that he fights to overcome daily with the help of his husband, Joel Priestley, and now their boyfriend, Robbie Bianchi.
But unlike Priest, Robbie doesn’t know what he’s helping Julien to fight. He doesn’t know what Julien did all those years ago. And with the anniversary of his sister’s death fast approaching, the time for explanations is running out.
And thus the question: will the princess be able to forgive the prick as the priest once did?
Only time will tell.

“Sometimes the best memories made are the ones you don’t even realize you’re making.”
This world that Ella had created is one I will never get tired of visiting. I love these guys, I love Logan and Tate (same world). Reading Julien was like coming home for me. Lots of swoon, lots of love, and lots of heat that only Ella can bring.
This book moved a lot slower than the first one. This is the only reason I marked it down to 4 stars. I would have really liked to have seen it move a bit faster paced. The story was great besides this one thing.
Each one of these guys brings something different to the relationship, that’s why I love each one of them in a different way. I do, however, love Priest the most. That man has strong Logan vibes. Epic, commanding, unforgettable. I don’t know if I could ever get over wanting more from him.
If you loved Logan and Tate or if you love M/M books then you have to read this series. It’s so much and then some.
“A broken heart of gold, that’s what our Julien has.”
I am SUCH a Robbie fan, but Julian’s story was haunting. Learning his backstory is so sad! I can’t wait for the next one. I’m on the edge of my seat for Priest’s book.
4.9 Stars
We’re back in the world of our darlings Logan & Tate! Well, not really – this is a spin-off thingy, but we all met and fell for Robbie & Priest & Julien in the Temptation series ….
If you haven’t read TRY & TAKE & TRUST & TEASE & TATE & TRUE you should definitely do it!!
And obviously you should have read CONFESSIONS: ROBBIE – because this is a trilogy which began with Robbie’s book!
Book #1 ended with Robbie ringing the doorbell, ready to move in with his two boyfriends Julien and Priest.
But he couldn’t have come at a worse time. Priest just got a call about his past. And Julien is also preoccupied with something in his past. But our darling Robbie is just the right person those two need to calm down a bit and not go crazy in these hard times.
Finally book #2!
I really enjoyed reading this book.
Those 3 boys are just sooo adorable! All three completely different but so perfect for each other!
And this time Robbie has his hands full with Priest and Julien. More Julien though. He’s in a bad, sad, sorrowful, grieving, gulity mood at the moment because his sister’s death’s ‘anniversary’ is coming closer. And he’s not dealing well. Just like every year since she died eight years ago. But Robbie is an immense help for Priest. Robbie knows just what to do and say and not ask in those situations. Adorable!
And next to Julien’s problems, Priest’s problems – which were already mentioned at the end of book 1 – they’re almost here now. We’ll learn more about it in book #3. And to say Robbie is a bit shocked about it all, is a huge understatement!
CAN’T WAIT to read that last book!!!!
OK, what can I say to wrap this review up?
JULIEN was a VERRRY EROTIC and adorable and funny and moving story.
But our three boys will have a LOT more to deal with in the next book!
The tiny little things that still bother me – but that’s just me. The fact that the book is not written in the first person POV! With all those male I’s HE’s HIM’s HIS’s – it’s so complicated sometimes to understand who is saying or thinking something!
Also – still not a fan of Priest’s hair color!!! And he’s my favorite of those 3 guys. But the hair!!! Ugh!
Confessions: Robbie may have left me in a puddle of goo, but Confessions: Julien left me holding onto my heart. Oh what a ride of emotions Ms. Frank takes us on, as we delve deeper into just who Mr. Julien Thornton is and what/who it is that molded him into the person he is today. There’s a lot of pain and guilt that he’s been holding onto.
Not only do we discover the cause of Julien’s heartache, we’re starting to get a better understanding of Mr. Joel Priestly as well. He’s always been such a man of mystery and while there’s still so much we don’t know about his history we’re finally getting a glimpse of what’s to come.
I love the way we are treated to the point of view of each of these 3 amazing men; it really adds so much more depth to the story than if it was told from just one pov.
Confessions: Julien is more complex, more emotional than Robbie’s book, as the bond between Robbie, Julien, and Priest deepens. They’re really beginning to learn how to navigate this new relationship, especially Robbie, and the part each one of them plays in it becomes more apparent. And oh my lanta, did I ever enjoy seeing the three of them explore each other. And I do mean that in every sense of the word! I love how comfortable Robbie has become- he’s truly found exactly where he’s supposed to be. Julien and Priest just make my heart melt when it comes to their feelings for Robbie. They are so caring and patient with him, I cannot even handle it. The way they show him, and not just tell him, how important he is to them is so touching.
Not to say there aren’t any bumps in the road, because there definitely are. There’s still a lot that these men have to handle, have to deal with, still so much to discover about themselves and each other. This book definitely brought the feels. As anxious as I am for Priest’s book I’m already sad thinking about having to say good-bye the these three.
***5 ‘My Place Is Right Here With You’ Stars***
All the feels? Yes.
All the smexy goodness? YES! O.M.G YAASSSS!
That ending making you want Priest’s book on your Kindle like…yesterday?? Oh. Hell Yes!
This book gave me everything. From watching as Julien, Robbie and Priest’s relationship grows and they become more to each other to finding out just what the demon that haunts Julien is, this book was simply an absolute joy to read. I swooned, laughed, sniffled and got all KINDS of hot and bothered (of course) and fell even deeper into adoration with these three men.
It’s already blatantly obvious how much I adore Priest, Julien and Robbie, that isn’t in question, I mean they are all kinds of everything, so we’ll just let that be the start and finish on that. But together they are more. Most would believe that one has more power than the others, and there is some truth to that in certain situations. But they each have a strength, that exclusive quality, that they other two don’t have that balances them all out and puts them all on an even playing field. They respect and revel in each other’s differences and it makes them all stronger for it.
This really was a fun and addicting read, not only because of The Priest, The Princess and The Prick, but because of the little cameos and mentions of some of my favorite characters, though I would have like a little of one in particular, but I honestly can’t complain, especially when the mention of a favorite couple brought about THAT reaction from one of the P’s. As this is a trilogy, there is a bit of a cliffy at the end, no surprise there. It’s not necessarily an “OMG. I can’t believe she did that” kind of cliffy, but it’s one that definitely has me wanting Priest’s book, like, oohhhh, yesterday? But I shall simply enjoy the afterglow of Julien and do my best to practice patience until it lands ever so nicely on my Kindle.

I was not entirely sure what I was expecting going into this book but I can say this wasn’t it. Through all of book one in the Confessions story we keep hearing about Julien and Priest’s past. With how book one ended I thought we would get Priests story first but we didn’t which is fine. However, Frank really hyped up what happened to Julien’s sister that when it finally came out I was like “That’s it??” Not saying it wasn’t sad because it was terribly sad but with how wonderful of a writer Ella Frank is I was expecting a bigger delivery with all the angst going on.
Even despite that huge let down this story was good. We really see Robbie becoming more comfortable in his relationship with Priest and Julien while also becoming more open with himself about what he wants and what he will do to keep it. As per usual the steam was 100% on point. Now on to Priest’s story because as I have said before I have a thing for that brut of a man!!
5+**
I read Books 1-4 of the Confessions series. I couldn’t even stop to write a review of book 1 before starting book 2. I was so hooked. I absolutely loved Robbie, Julian and Priest. Every one of these characters were so different with different histories or baggage they brought into the relationship. They each deserved their own book and of course the last book brings it all together.
These books are beautifully written. I LOVE the French interspersed in there too. It is the language of love after all.
This love story is beautiful and unique and super H.O.T.. Those sex scenes were smokin!!
I’m just sad I’m finished with the series.
These are my first books by Ella. I’ll be adding her to new favorites list.
I loved this book. We know a lot more about Julien’s past and it broke my heart. His parents made me so angry.
I love the dynamics between all three of them. They fit together so well. Robbie is so smart and cheeky and snarky, I love him so much!! Julien is so sweet and him speaking French? Sexy as fuck!!
It’s amazing to see how they are all falling deeper and deeper and the sex scenes are seriously hot!!!!! Diving right into Priest’s book, ’cause I can’t wait!!
Julien is the second book in the Confessions series by the very talented, Ella Frank. You can read it as standalone but I highly recommend reading Robbie first so you get the full story. I am going to try to make this quick so I don’t spoil anything. If you follow my reviews then you know the whole quick thing doesn’t usually work out but no spoilers do. Anyway, back to the Prick, Priest, and Princess.
Julien is a tortured soul. The last eight years have tested him in ways that could have broken him. They almost did until he turned his life around and delved into his passion of cooking. It gave him purpose. He had Priest who gave him a reason to love. And now, he had Robbie, someone who made his days brighter. He had it all. He was happy but he was still haunted by what happened all those years ago and with the anniversary coming up, his nightmares were back. Priest has been through them with Julien but this is the first time Robbie has been through this. Will Robbie be able to handle it?
Yay! I think that was pretty short. I love that Ella is giving each character their own book but still sharing their love as a whole with us. It really gives a glimpse into each of their pasts. The pasts that molded the men into who they are today. They have all grown up so differently and to have them come together as one is beautiful. They each bring different strengths into the relationship and it’s amazing.
Overall…it’s an emotional, sexy, and passionate read. I loved Julien in Robbie but I fell hard for him in his book. He is just so damn sexy with his French accent but it’s more than that. He is a beautiful soul who needs to see that for himself.
P.S. Ella brought on the fucking heat with this one.
Quotes:
“We all have a role here, Robert. No one’s is greater or more important than the other. It’s just different. That’s why we work, and will continue to work, if we’re honest with one another. Now go and sleep.”
“Mon Dieu, princesse. You look like an invitation to sin,” Julien said, as he mirrored Priest’s move and slid a hand down inside his pants to wrap his fingers around his aching shaft.
“I think I’ll wait for my main meal.”
“Wow,” Robbie said. “If you lift that French nose of yours much higher, you’re gonna give yourself a nosebleed.”
“Just because I care about what I put in my mouth—”
Love Comes in Threes
As series go…this is one of the finest I have ever read! The intensity of the emotions permeate each page and the plot slowly unwinds to reveal the details from Julien’s past that explain so much. Robbie and Priest are their supportive selves throughout with their love for Julien…helping him through this difficult time.
I’m just waiting for Priest’s perspective to complete the story. I’m positive Ella will do another wonderful job!
Julien is the second book in the Confessiosn series and begins right where the first book ended. This MMM story was bold, steamy and heart-breaking. This book gives us more of Julien’s back story and is told in present day and with glimpses of the past. The author took us on a roller-coaster ride of emotions with this story. It was funny and sweet, hott and steamy and emotional. Robbie, Julien and Priest complemented each other so much, it was like they were always meant to be together and I loved how their relationship blossomed in this novel.
Julien was a great continuation to this series. It was well-crafted and layered and left you anxious for the next book in the series. I loved it and would highly recommend it to all lovers of MMM menage stories.
*4-4,5 stars*
If you loved the Temptation series, you’ll definitely love the story of Priest, Julien and Robbie 🙂 It’s been such a wonderful journey to see a story come to life about three men trying to find their way in a relationship with each other and also trying to overcome so many things that happened in their life. This time we get to see what Julien has been through and we are learning some new truths about him. I can’t wait to read the next one, Priest 🙂
Years ago, Julien lost his twin sister and up until this day he blames himself for her death. Every year of the anniversary, it’s even more difficult for him and he just doesn’t know how to cope with his loss. And although he is happier than he’s ever been with Priest and also Robbie, he can’t seem to forgive himself. But sometimes a love comes into your life that makes it easier for yourself to get to a new point in your life and that’s how Julien feels about Robbie although his love for Priest won’t ever change.
Can Julien finally give his sister death’ a place in his life and finally find a way to forgive himself for what happened?…
Dear God, I knew with each book in this amazing Confessions series, I’d fall more and more in love with Robbie, Julien, and Priest, but holy hell, my heart and teary eyes, I don’t know how much more I can take…
Seriously, I love the relationship that’s blooming with these three unbelievably fantastic men. In Julien we get to see the heartbreak that drives Julien to succeed, that drives him to keep moving. And the heartbreak he’s desperately trying to outrun.
But he can’t outrun it, and that’s where the love and trust and compassion between these three really comes in. The love is what helps Julien get through. What helps him turn his thoughts around. That with love, true love comes with acceptance for all the best and worst parts of us.
And ultimately love wins.
Well, hopefully love wins, because damn, does Priest need all the help he can get…
I think 50 stars still would not be enough for this book .
embrasse moi mon amour
Robbie has always been the sparkle and he is still delicious …
Julien french chef husband of Priest and now with Robbie as well — now I know three does go into two…. very evenly …
These three guys have a strong trust growing between them and Julien who has confessed to Robbie about his past which was extremely hard his past now is shared with the two men he loves.
The sauciness of Robbie always gets me — I just love it..
Their feelings for each other is beautiful this book took me on a journey of love and acceptance and so much more ………. Always Joel Priestly is there to protect ……………..
Joel’s book is next and I honestly know it will be what I need ..
This will be another trilogy of Ella Franks that I will buy in paper back..
So many congratulations, Ella brilliant as usual….

I could not put this book down! I loved it from start to finish. Julien, Priest and
Robbie’s relationship is something very special and I can’t wait to see where it
heads next.
Le sigh…
These three give me a toothache. I absolutely love the dynamic between the three. I see them as the lover (Robbie), the lost boy (Julien) and the fighter (Priest). There is no room for jealously only love, truth and understanding. They fit together so beautifully it makes me want to know more about them and get their complete story. Looking forward to the final book which is Priest’s story and it can’t come soon enough!
I enjoyed Julien’s story and of course, you can’t help but love Robbie and Priest. I was honestly excited to finally know the rest of Julien’s story and what happened with his sister and parents. In a way, I’m glad his parents never showed up and I hope they stay out of the picture. He is definitely better off without them and he has more love than they could ever give/show him now. However, just when you think things are relaxing for the guys something or someone else comes in threatening to destroy it. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series so I can get all of Priest story.
Julien’s past is revealed in this the second book of the series. Robbie and Priest help get him through some difficult moments. I really liked how the three supported each other.
Confessions of Julien continues where Robbie’s story left off. I highly recommend that you read Robbie’s story before this one.
We heard a bit of Julien’s pain over his sisters death in Robbie’s story, but nothing could have prepared us for this.
My heart sang and oh how my heart ached as I read Julien’s story. The pain, and guilt and the blame that he has had to live with for so long is heartbreaking. Even though Julien and Priest have had a long standing relationship, Robbie is the piece they have needed. It is through their individual strengths and differences they find the balance needed to complete this very complicated puzzle that is a loving relationship between these three men.
Priest is the most complicated character of the three, but as he becomes more human it is hard not to love him too. He story and secrets have not been revealed as we are left in a cliffhanger wondering how this will all turn out.
Just when I thought I couldn’t love characters more than Logan and Tate from the Temptation Series, Ella Frank gives us Robbie, Julien and Priest. Julien’s story is so emotional and raw that my heart breaks for him. I love that the relationship between these three gorgeous, complicated men is honest and open and mature. As unconventional as there love story is I am thoroughly smitten with them and continue to root for their HEA. I can’t wait to continue the journey with Priest story.
