Jack Higgins has a knack for creating characters who are angels with dirty faces. By that I mean violent men who, deep down, are men of honor, regret, and even kindness.
In his most memorable novel, The Eagle Has Landed, Higgins created Liam Devlin, a former IRA gunman and German spy sent to England in a plot to kidnap Winston Churchill. With his …
DIDN’T FINISH IT…. found it difficult to get into
It was hard to get into, but ended up okay.
Jack Higgins is the Master! Everything he writes is sheer entertainment, and this was no exception. Loved the walk-thu Paris, the Isle of Jersey side-trip, and all the intricate details that Mr. Higgins knows how to weave to keep us guessing the final outcome. What an author to love! I’ve got my husband “hooked” on him now.
good characters and a good story
Jacks the best

Typical story by Higgins. I never read a book of his that was not a 5-star read.
Great read! In true fashion – action packed. Off to a do what slow start but so worth sricking with it.
Jack Higgins at his best! Extremely readable. Hard to put down.
Jack Higgins has been my favorite for YEARS, there is no one better.
I have been reading Jack Higgins for more than 30 years. Always good.
Not your typical Higgins novel. More character development and horse racing takes a back seat.
