A brand new dirty, sexy, funny standalone romance….Lucy Burchett is the heiress to a notoriously disastrous family, and she’s left home for good. But when she runs a big, black pickup off the road, totaling it, she finds herself stuck in the middle of nowhere with the driver. He’s got a body to die for and a hair-trigger temper. Vince Russo looks like a felon, but he’s also pretty funny. He’s … funny. He’s on the lam from the cops… and a psychopathic, Russian mob boss who wants to put his balls on a barbeque. Literally.
After a night of ill-advised cocktails and bathroom-wrecking sex, Vince just can’t get Lucy off his mind. But he’s got plans to rob her. And Lucy’s life is about to get a little bit criminal too.
But can a bad boy and a good girl really escape from their troubles together? Can they trust each other at all?
In the steady march of disasters that follow them west, they fight and they laugh. They tease and they’re tender. They’re either oil and water, or chocolate and peanut butter.
Except, they can’t run from the real world forever. And there’s a hell of a surprise in store for both of them…

OH MY EVER-LOVING F*CKING G! ← Yes, yes, a millions times YES! Once again the amazingly talented Nicola Rendell has me screaming at the top of my lungs in awe for this intensely captivating binge-worthy read. Not only did I not want to put this story down, but I never ever wanted it to end. I thought Naomi and Ben were my ultimate book couple, but they have nothing and I do mean NOTHING on Vince and Lucy. My heart is still in knots and this story has me all twisted up inside. I honestly have no clue how I will ever be able to move on from these two…not that I would ever want to!
Confessed is the kind of story that romance readers crave and find absolutely addicting (trust me, once you start you’ll never want to stop). This story has it all! From their romantic chemistry and sexual tension…to their runaway adventure…oh and did I forget to mention that surprised kidnapping (yep that totally happens)?! ← Yeah I totally did NOT see that one coming, but with Nicola’s writing you should expect the unexpected!
If you are looking for a modern day feel good, adventurous Bonnie and Clyde style read, then look no further because this is the perfect book for you.
Lucy and Vince are FIRE. A sweet and sexy couple pushing boundaries.
What a wild ride! This thrilling, funny, sexy story captured me right from the start and never let go! I Fell in love with Lucy and Vince just as quickly as they fell for each other. They are total opposites who are on the run for their own reasons when they literally ‘bump’, okay ‘crash’ into each other. They team up and the sparks fly between them right from the start. Lucy is a privileged princess who wants to find her own way. Lucy can’t resist the sexy, tattooed and dangerous man. The college boys did nothing for Lucy the way that the aggressive, masculine and deliciously dirty talking Vince did. But she is no doormat. No matter how scattered and clueless she seems, she is also adventurous, stubborn and sassy. Vince is intrigued that underneath the spoiled and sexy exterior is a real fighter, and he could do battle with her all day. They are fascinated with each other as they discover they have the same taste in music and the same sense of humor. Their banter is fun and sexy and their chemistry is explosive. They never miss an opportunity to show each other just how much they want each other. That is if they aren’t trying to evade the Russian mob, the police, or the feds, the action never stops! I really enjoyed Ms Rendell’s writing and her expertise in creating a multilayered story where we really get to know the real Vince and Lucy beneath their quirky, and/or law-breaking personas. I really cared and cheered for both of them. There are also several intriguing and eccentric secondary characters that add to the fun and suspense. This breathtaking story has several twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages. You will not want to miss this fun, exhilarating, fast paced, and sexy story!
Can love survive when the two halves are somewhat unusual? In this book we have the story of Lucy, which was presented in the book Professed, where she was friend of the protagonist Naomi. In the previous title, we were already curious to know who this girl was, who was so mysterious and interesting at the same time. When you thought you understood her, she was a completely different person.
Here she reigns at all. Now a graduate, Lucy finds herself in the middle of a scandal over her family, which is being the main attraction of all the news. His father’s rich empire in the food business is being investigated, as several people are getting sick while consuming their products. It had seen a case of national public health. She, who has always felt the weight that her surname carries, and has never been comfortable in this role, sees in all this confusion the chance to escape.
Lucy deep down always dreamed of being ordinary. In having a job, a mortgage, a hardworking husband and children. In living a simple life, but of her choice, and not be smothered in the expectations that her parents have for her future, in what is expected of an heiress. Then, armed with her car, some clothes and twenty thousand dollars thanks to her father’s safe, she runs away and leaves without direction to get rid of all the chaos that is now her home.
On a road, she distracts herself and ends up crashing into a car. And ends up meeting Vincent. Agreeing to resolve this situation between them, they decide not to involve the police and insurance. Like the car he drove, it ends up exploding (yes, the car explodes with a knock on the back), she gives him a ride to the nearest hotel. And so, the way of the two is interconnected in an overwhelming way. She is enchanted by this man, finds him very attractive, and the feeling is reciprocal. At the hotel, the two of them stay the night, the chemistry is undeniable, and then they decide to enjoy this trip together. A few days later, when they are in a restaurant having coffee, during a moment of unbridled kisses, Vincent ends up pouring drink in her. Then, she goes to the bathroom to clean herself and leaves him on the table. When she returns, she does not find Vincent, neither her purse, nor her suitcases nor her car.
Vincent is a thief. He has already been arrested, is being sought again and to make matters worse he is fleeing the Russian mafia. When he was fleeing in a stolen car, he ends up suffering an accident caused by a stunning blonde. In a quick glance, he sees in her his next victim. Spends the night with her, she is the best date of his life, and after a few days he runs away with her things. But he can not get her out of his head.
But Lucy does not give up. If he thought she was an easy prey, he was wrong. She goes after him to get her things back. The scene describing this search is hilarious. When she finally find him, poor guy. The two then decide to be together. The thief and the heiress. Until news on the radio changes the course of this trip again. The FBI is looking for Lucy now, for her account was money laundering for her father’s firm. Not believing her own father armed to incriminate her, she does not know what to do. And it’s up to Vincent now to teach her to be an outlaw.
Two completely different people from different worlds who end up falling in love with this crazy journey, and now they must continue through the shadows of society to survive. The two together will need to run away from the police, the mafia, Lucy’s family that wants her back, their past, their own fears and the longing for the life they left behind. The only thing they will not cover is getting away from it, it’s that completely overwhelming feeling that took over them. How does this story end? Just reading to know. But I can say that the journey is worth it.
Confessed is a perfect book. It is dirty, it is romantic and it is intense. What more could you ask for?
I loved Lucy from the little pieces we got of her in Professed so it was great to be able to learn more about it. She has not had an easy time in life given the recent events of her fathers business, so she runs away and runs right into Vince Russo. Vince is running away as well, only he is trying to hide from the Russians.
The chemistry between Lucy and Vince was so hot. I don’t think I have read a hotter book than the story of Lucy and Vince. I instantly think of this story any time I hear Johnny Cash and Phil Colins. There is so much fun little details in this story. It is not all sexy, but all the little details in the story are what really get me.
This is yet another fantastic story by Nicola Rendell and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Confessed is sweet, sexy, and oh so fun! It’s a lighthearted read that kept me completely engaged and tugged at my heartstrings more than I expected. Lucy and Vince are about as opposite as any two people can be…she’s a spoiled heiress, he’s a bad boy criminal, and they’re both on the run when destiny, luck, serendipity puts them in each other’s path.
This is just an all-around enjoyable read. I loved the banter between Lucy and Vince- she gave as good as she got, and he was more than willing to take it! She’s sassy and feisty, he’s a bad boy with a heart of gold under that gruff exterior. I liked how they both grew as individuals throughout the book…and that was a direct result of the influence they had on each other. Lucy and Vince are really quite adorable together, and just totally entertaining.
Confessed is one of those books that you don’t want to put down, you want the adventure to continue.
5 Incredibly HAWT Stars!!
Nicola Rendell’s Confessed had me from page 1 and held me enthralled right to the end!! I simply could not put it down! Let this review be my acknowledgment that I will read EVERY SINGLE book that this woman writes, it was THAT good!! Before I was halfway finished I downloaded Professed and I will be diving into that very soon!
Vince Russo is, in a word, HAWT!!! He is EVERY girls’ wet dream and THEN some! Good Lord, that man has a dirty mouth and he certainly knows exactly how to use it! And Lucy Burchett, pampered princess, Yale graduate, privileged beyond belief and yet so likeable, so hilariously funny and has a mouth to rival Vince’s! The insane chemistry between them, even after the unbelievable way they meet (she runs him, in his stolen pick-up, off the road in her BMW) The banter between them had me holding my sides from laughter! The insanely hot sex scenes? Yeah, you’re gonna need a few (dozen) panty changes…or an air conditioner set on high in front of you! There was angst, heart-meltingly tender moments and intensely emotional moments that will gut you!
x7fIf you DON’T like incredibly hot sex scenes, dirty-talking Alpha male heroes and equally bad-ass, cheeky, spirited heroines…this book is DEFINITELY not for you!! If you DO, this book will take you on a roller coaster ride of a romance! If I could give it 10 stars, I would!! Thank you Nicola Rendell for one of my top reads of 2016!
