My name is Amadeo Dacosta, but you… you will only call me Father.I’ve been watching Carlotta Tomassi for months, biding my time to pluck her out of her sheltered life. The mafia kingpin’s daughter is not going to be a sweet little thing much longer. Not if I have anything to do with it.Soon, she will be kidnapped. Taken. Captive. Carlotta’s transformation from sweet little lamb to broken sinner … from sweet little lamb to broken sinner will begin in the cell I built for her. Barely legal and enchanting in her innocent beauty, she will be my prized possession.
I can’t wait for her to open her eyes and realize she’s now my property. The fear. The anticipation. The pain. I will take it all. And the first words I’ll tell her will seal her fate.
It’s time to confess, little sinner.
And Father does not forgive.
Confess is a full-length novel with a dirty priest straight out of your fantasies… or nightmares.
This is a captive dark mafia romance.

Isabella Starling never fails to deliver. In her latest book, Confess, be prepared to be astounded and at the edge of your seat as your crest from page to page, chapter to chapter. The characters are each strongly written and shine within the story in their respective roles. It may be taboo, but it’s addictive and a must read! Come confess your sins!!
I love Starling’s books, but this was not my favorite. It was, however, highly entertaining and paced well. One of my biggest issues is that I didn’t feel any chemistry between Amadeo and Carlotta. Their scenes initially had a real foreboding feel to them, which worked for their relationship. But I felt that it jumped to more too fast without enough emotion. I felt the brothers had much more chemistry with each other, and it was the best part of the story. The conflicting feelings of Valentino, and his love for his brother drove the story forward.
There was a continuity error a reader like me always hopes is caught in beta stages. Carlotta grabs the gun twice in two paragraphs .
“Amadeo and Tomassi are scrambling for the gun, and I’m struggling to breathe through the pain when Carlotta runs toward them, grabbing the gun that’s lying on the floor unattended. She points at her father. “Carlotta! Remember what this bastard did to you,” Tomassi scrambles to his feet as Carlotta grabs the gun. “Remember how he hurt you. Remember how he ruined your life.””
I didn’t find this book very dark, except maybe for one particular scene. But it really bothered me that this young girl was paying for being a “little sinner” but had no idea why for most of the story. She questions it, then accepts it. But holding her responsible is a huge stretch. I wish she knew from the beginning of the story, therefore giving some juicy conflict and true atonement. I also wish more was told about the DaCosta family. There was hints that it was ALSO a mafia family, but I am not sure how it relates to The story? Maybe there will be another book? I would definitely read it.
I really liked the ending and the reveal. While I had some issues with this book, it was no doubt a blast to read with great dialogue.
This is a dark read using religion in the most unorthodox way. Father Amadeo has been obsessed with Carlotta for 18 years. (This is where it might trigger some people since she is kidnapped at the age of 17). Amadeo want’s revenge against Massimo even though he is a priest he lets his obsession with Massimo’s daughter Carlotta take over and he kidnapped her. He tortures her to make her confess her sins. I loved the beginning of the story but it was to neat and tidy by the end. I am glad Isabella is back and I’m ready to read more dark reads from her.

In this dark romance we have Father Amedeo Dacosta. He has a broken soul, trying to repair his heart along the way.
Carlotta Tomassi, is the daughter of a mafia kingpin. She has known only wealth, and living a soft cushiony lifestyle her father has provided.
Little does Carlotta know that Father Amedeo has been watching her silently in the corner at her favorite bar hang out. Little does Carlotta know that her 18 birthday party will never happen. Little does Carlotta know that she won’t be able to please her father any more.
Father Amedeo kidnaps Carlotta to punish her for the sins of her father. However, Carlotta doesn’t know what sins her father has committed. She doesn’t know his crime mob boss ways. She doesn’t know anything about his lifestyle and what he does.
I did not like that Carlotta – an innocent was being punished for crimes she has no knowledge of. Father Amedeo wants her to atone for her sins but she doesn’t have any. Her father does, but she doesn’t.

This dark stalkerish, brutal and graphic storyline with Amadeo, a tormented priest grieving and lusting for revenge and retribution left me kind of stunned.
Unforgiving in his mission to have his revenge on the man who murdered his family by torturing and punishing his daughter, his mission to destroy Carlotta was focused and kind of insane.
This deep and Disturbing storyline was full of triggers as this psychotic priest fell in lust with Carlotta and lost all sense of reason. Lots of disturbing scenes that mixed religious practices with Amadeo’s lustful desires for Carlotta.
In the midst of his dark obsession, Carlotta took the punishment and pain, forgiving Amadeo once she realized how evil her father was. I did like the way Carlotta’s selfless love pulled Amadeo back from the point of no return.
Added to this dark plot, Younger brother Valentino was also obsessed with Carlotta. Equally in lust with her but not to the point of wanting her hurt, Valentino was truly the Hero in this dark romance

This book put me through so many emotions. I love Isabella’s writing. Her style, the words, everything, it’s amazing. This book is dark so make sure you know that before you read it. Great job Isabella.

This book is a very intense page turner. I read it in one sitting and then skipped back through it to certain parts to re-read. I felt the characters to be well written and the script was equally well written. Amadeo, Valentino and Carlotta were great and had a story to tell. Amadeo and Valentino were brothers and Carlotta the daughter of a hated rival. The twists and turns were surprising and held my attention. A very good book and I recommend it. I received this book freely and voluntarily give my honest opinion.

Confess is a very intense dark erotic romance. This is not a book for everyone as there are scenes and situations that could be triggering. But, I loved it! The story of Father Amadeo, his obsession/revenge with Carlotta, and his brother Valentino is so well written I was engrossed in the story from the first page.
I received an ARC from BookSprout for my honest review.
Carlotta has no idea what is coming. She thought she was getting away with slipping out and going to the local clubs to have a life. She never knew someone had their eyes on her the entire time. Father Amadeo has plans for Carlotta but Carlotta doesn’t even realize what is about to happen or why. Can she survive what’s in store for her?
This was a good read!
“She has a debt to pay to me. And I’m going
to come and collect very, very soon.
After all, it’s always the innocent ones that suffer for the mistakes of others.”
This book was like nothing I’ve ever read. My emotions were all over the board. Some things took me to a level I’ve never read and some confused the heck out of me trying to process the depths of emotions being executed.
Confused. Betrayed. Forgiveness. Dark…Disturbing….Beautiful.
Father Amadeo is a priest set on exacting his own brand of justice. Carlotta is an innocent young girl who ends up paying for the sins of her father.
The characters were well realized. The story line is dark and twisted which I found intriguing. I was riveted. There are twists in this story that I did not expect.

3.5 Stars
It’s a love/hate relationship with this story, and it’s not one or two things that I can pin point for sure. I want to say it more of the combination of the biblical versus and elements of how the author intertwines within the chapters. It’s definitely dark, taboo and dances on the very fine edges of hard subjects …
”But the man in me saw an innocent, sweet virgin, and wanted to corrupt her. What I’ve done is as far away from a godly deed as you could imagine. And yet I have no regrets.”
As a fan of Isabella’s work, Confess was an interesting and perplexing read. I have loved her dark and dirty reads that get your blood boiling but Confess is something else. The ending is one I didn’t see coming and my emotions were all over the place for sure.
I enjoyed the book. It was deliciously dark and twisted. It also had romance too.
Confess by Isabella Starling
5 Stars
Spectacular erotica very dark romance with many twists and turns with heartbreaks.
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
“He cared for you more than he cared for himself.”
“I was worried I’d feel clumsy and unattractive, but he makes my pregnant body feel amazing, calming my mind with sweet, muttered comments that make my spirits soar.”
“I want to spend my life discovering every inch of you,” he mutters against my skin. “And claiming you for myself, day after day after day.”
This story is not for everyone but everyone needs to take a risk and give something a chance. I am very happy I got to read it and I loved it! It kept my interest from the cover to the very last word!!
Oh how I have missed Isabella Starling’s books!!!!!! This story was dark and the characters are incredible. I don’t know if I even have the words to do this book justice. Carlotta is the daughter of a Mafia boss. Father Amadeo plans to kidnap her, with the help of his brother Valentino, as revenge for the crimes of her father. This book will drag you through the full range of your feelings, hate, anger, love, grief…… Make sure you have tissues close by. This book is dark and may not be for everyone but I LOVED it!
Isabella returns with a dirty, dark bang!
Probably should give a warning to those not comfortable with a portrayal of a man of God as a sexual or sadistic being. This book is dark. It is Isabella Starling, so that should not be a surprise.
Father Amadeo is a cold, focused killer. He seems to be antithesis of what you might think of as a priest. He wants to destroy Massimo Tomassi. He has been plotting his revenge for 18 years and now is the time. After all, the instrument of his revenge is turning 18.
Carlotta Tomassi, the sheltered, innocent daughter of Massimo does not expect what is coming for her. She has just been sneaking out to get some life experiences that other girls her age are free to have. Little does she realize what she is in for when the tall, dark, and handsome gentleman offers to buy her a drink.
And so begins a dark, twisted, mind-bending journey of revenge and redemption. Dark, dark, dark,…did I mention dark? It wouldn’t be an Isabella book without it. A lot of bumps along the way. Forbidden romance. Family secrets. Tragedy. Isabella delivers it all.
All the twisty, turny, steamy, sadistic love story I wanted.

I know I’m walking into a world of hurt every time I start an Isabella Starling title. And yet, even knowing that by the end my heart is going to be a broken bleeding mess, I still crack open the book with a naïve innocence believing that maybe it won’t hurt so much this time. Hah! I almost couldn’t finish the last chapters of this book because I couldn’t see the words through my tears. Take my advice; keep the tissues handy. You’re going to need them. There are some elements of this story that strongly remind me of Pet. That might be part of why I loved this story so much. They’ve both left me a mindless wreck of seething emotions. I’m terrified of saying too much about Carlotta and Amadeo because the best parts of their story only have the right impact when you encounter them blind. It’s going to take me a while to recover from this story.

Confess is not going to be for everyone. It’s very dark and not for the faint of heart. This book blew my mind! My emotions were all over the place while reading it. I did not when to put it down and when I did, I couldn’t wait to pick it up again! This book will take you on a ride you will not see coming and believe me when I tell you that you won’t be disappointed. This is my first book by the author and I can’t wait to read more.
My girl is back!!! This book…I. Could. Not. Put. It. Down. It was truly dark, steamy, mind blowing and addicting. It had everything I want in a book. The writing is phenomenal. You think you know what’s going to happen, but you have no idea. If you like dark, twisted reads filled with smoking hot scenes, this one’s for you.
Wow! I’m left speechless after reading this book I did not expect the ending at all ! This book definitely played with my emotions and my heart literally hurt for all characters involved in this story . Isabella Starling is definitely back and I love this side of her and her writing style , the plot , the characters everything was put together and told in such away that you couldn’t help but being sucked in from the first chapter and not being able to put down until the end of this erotically dark twisted romance story. This story was flawlessly written, the connection between the characters was perfect and holy shit that ending ! This book was a amazing read and I highly recommend if you love dark reads definitely 5 stars from me I can’t wait to see what other brilliance she has up her sleeve!
