My name is Amadeo Dacosta, but you… you will only call me Father.I’ve been watching Carlotta Tomassi for months, biding my time to pluck her out of her sheltered life. The mafia kingpin’s daughter is not going to be a sweet little thing much longer. Not if I have anything to do with it.Soon, she will be kidnapped. Taken. Captive. Carlotta’s transformation from sweet little lamb to broken sinner … from sweet little lamb to broken sinner will begin in the cell I built for her. Barely legal and enchanting in her innocent beauty, she will be my prized possession.
I can’t wait for her to open her eyes and realize she’s now my property. The fear. The anticipation. The pain. I will take it all. And the first words I’ll tell her will seal her fate.
It’s time to confess, little sinner.
And Father does not forgive.
Confess is a full-length novel with a dirty priest straight out of your fantasies… or nightmares.
This is a captive dark mafia romance.

If you could see the smile I had when I started to read this book, you would have thought that I had a problem. Lol
But who cares…
Isabella Starling is known for her unique writing. She’s the taboo queen and that makes her unique.
Her books have all the stuff to make you blush but not everything is a bed of roses. She approaches some sensitive themes that most people try to avoid.
Just give her a chance and you’ll see.
Confess is her latest release and explores the lives of Father Amadeo and Carlotta.
Father Amadeu, as the name says, is a man connected with the church. His mission is to spread God’s words and make good prevail but… He’s dark…
Carlotta has it all. Money, luxury and all the good things. She’s like every other girl who loves her dad and always with a smile on her face.
One day…
Lord have mercy… Mercy…
Jesus… This book is… Uau… Uau…
I’m speechless… Jesus… I didn’t saw this coming.
Exquisite plot, very well written, super engaging and intense surrounded by a cloud of darkness and punishment.
I may say that this book is not for everyone. This plot is brutal and not for the faint of heart.
There were scenes that I wanted to murder someone… Jeez, such cruelty… But there were others that I wanted to hold them and promise better days…
It was a mix of emotions, on one hand, you have hot stuff all over the place but on the other hand, it’s drama and punishment all over.
I’m really stunned and so freaking happy because Isabella is back.
Welcome back, Isabella. This book was the perfect comeback for you.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Wow ! What a dark intense and riveting read ! This is the kind of story that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The story had a whopping twist and a love triangle going on between two brothers who were polar opposites one of them dark and one of them light and a captive that feels a spark toward both of them.
Father Amadeo was so dark and dominate ,depraved and scary as hell.We loved how he constantly was at war with his emotions as it almost made him seem human.
Valentino was a character that wore his heart on his sleeve craving the same women who belonged to his brother and one he longed for but, thinks he can never have.
Carlotta was a bit of a hellcat and fighter had spine and had gumption and one some would consider broken but, neither her captor nor father were truly able to break her.
A compelling read that was edgy and dark and one not for the faint of heart.I will say that I found Carlotta age a little distributing but, when she turned eighteen all would have been loss to seek revenge for the wrongs done to the Dacosta family so her age then made sense.
This was one read that had your emotions all over that place .The story also had you guessing constantly what the final outcome would be .I would say that Carlotta surprised me yet again toward the ending of the book and her actions all the more surprising as I could not see that scenario ever happening but, she must have had her reasons but, we can only guess what they could be.
You have to enjoy a story where you want to hate the characters but just can’t, no matter how depraved and dark and sinister your still drawn to them and their darkness and just hoping a praying that someone or something will heal what is broken within them.
This author and her dark reads are always intense reads and have always had compelling characters and she knows just how mix the forbidden and taboo and make it all work and this read was just that !
Recommend read to those who love the forbidden and love dark romance reads that are somewhat taboo but, this story is not for those who have triggers and are faint of heart but, a page turner for those who can handle the content a book like this has.
Amadeo, Valentino and Carlotta’s story will make you cry, hurt, scared, and fall in love. Amazing reactions to very bad situations and coming to terms with the monsters within. Loved the dynamics in this book.

Confess is a dark, mafia romance with twisty parts thrown in to throw you off where you think the story is going.
Father Amadeo Dacosta was hurt in the past and he’s now finally able to take his revenge. He’s been planning for a long time how to get back at the man who took everything from him. As everything falls into place, can he keep his nerve?
Carlotta Tomassi, is a young woman who knows she’ll be tied down in a marriage soon, so wants to go out and live before that happens. One night of fun with a friend turns into being captured by a man who shouldn’t believe in sinning.
Valentino Dacosta, knows that his brother deserves his revenge but the way he wants to exact that revenge is wrong. Can he stop his brother before he goes to far or at least keep her safe?
Confess is not a menage read but it does have love triangle elements which I personally think made this an even more interesting read. It was different from other dark captive reads I’ve previously read, so kept my attention to see where the author would take it. Plus wanting to know the backstory and what led Amadeo to need to want revenge in the first place. With the added bonus of two equally hot and fiery Dacosta men.
This book was a perfect comback for Isa! Unfortunately I haven’t read from her before. But I read all of Betti Rosewood books and I LOVE THEM.
I can’t get a scene to say that I haven’t loved. This story is completely unique with a lot of emotion. I was angry, desperate. Yes, you can see some dark elements but the whole story will enchant you!
I have to say you need to read it! You have to know Amadeo and Carlotta’s story. Those two character have a place in my heart and yours too.
Amadeo, Valentino and Carlotta’s story will make you cry, hurt, scared, and fall in love. Amazing reactions to very bad situations and coming to terms with the monsters within. Loved the dynamics in this book.

Isabella Starling has reputation for writing dark, dirty, twisted, scrumptious, depraved, sexually overcharged, often disturbing, creative, and highly engaging stories. From my little corner of the world, Confess is the triple-distilled essence of her writing with superb dialog. If it were any more intense, I’d have had to lock my Kindle into my freezer.
Carlotta is an innocent, protected, and sheltered woman turning 18, daughter of a man who is on a priest’s wrong side. This tall, dark, and handsome priest has been plotting revenge for all of Carlotta’s life. His brother ends up wanting to protect Carlotta. Both of them lust for Carlotta in different ways.
I liked the way the plot progressed and there was sufficient character growth to keep things interesting. I feel like Carlotta could have discovered her “sinning” for which she was being punished sooner in the story; it might have made her suffering even darker.

This is a great read with an awesome storyline that has well developed and engaging characters that have lots of chemistry. The smooth flow of the storyline makes for a good reading time.

Carlotta is the daughter of a mafia kingpin who finds herself kidnapped by Father Amadeo and his brother Valentino for revenge. This is a well written story which is this gifted author at her best. This story is dark, twisted, sadistic, and fill with abuse, torture, drama, twists, secrets and love. I was enthralled throughout this addictive page turner I and cannot wait to read more from this author.
“Confess is a full-length novel with a dirty priest straight out of your fantasies… or nightmares.” I get chills as I write this review… So much going on in this story. Ms. Starling had me thinking A LOT; which I love. Amadeo was a huge character! A priest out for revenge against the father through the daughter. Not very christian! But, if Amadeo was Very christian, Caroltta would not have learned her strengths and weaknesses, and Ms. Starling would have needed a new plot (LOL). The question is, will anyone be getting a happy ending! Thoroughly enjoyed my second novel by this author.
I have missed you so much, Isabella! Confess is everything and more. What every you expect from this book, put it on the back burner and jump right in because this book is going to blow them all away.
Father Amadeo is a man that has nothing to lose. He has been planing his revenge for eighteen years, and it is time to put it into action. There is NOTHING sweet about what he needs to do, and the poor girl that is going to take all the rath is Carlotta Tomassi.
Carlotta Tomassi is a seventeen-year-old girl 24 hrs from turning eighteen. She has little to do with her father’s mafia life and treated like a princess.
Carlotta is kidnapped and tortured for being the mafia king’s daughter. While all this is going on, we learn a lot about why Father Amadeo is doing this. When Carlotta returns to her father, she defends Father Amadeo, which pi**es her father off even more.
Beware, this is a dark read; it is not for everyone. Confess is a book I will reread!
The long awaited Confess story!
After reading the blurb I couldn’t wait to finally start this story but unfortunately I had mixed feelings about it. I loved the dark, emotional rawness of the book but the story itself was a bit up and down for me.
I really didn’t know what to make of Father Amadeo, or understand him really, in the beginning, but holy hell was he hot. I loved his twisted and dark mind, I loved getting inside his head. Although Carlotta wasn’t even 18 at the beginning, I really enjoyed the little bit of stubbornness she had within her when she was with Amadeo and the little fights she gave. I loved their interactions together and well as with her father and Amadeo’s brother, Valentino. I loved the extra chapters from Valentino’s POV and what he thought about what Amadeo was doing.
I found that there were a lot of inconsistencies throughout the book which really got me and a few unanswered questions by the end, all which surprised me because Isabella Starling is such an amazing author, so I was a little let down with some of that and didn’t enjoy it immensely as much as I thought I would.
My heart broke towards the end and especially in the last chapter, I was a mess by the end of it and I loved every second of that
3.5 stars
Oh My ###! I don’t even know where to begin… This book was absolutely fantastic! Oh, my Heart! speaking of HEART, This book is not for the faint of heart. If you’re not ready to clutch those pearls… On one hand, I definitely need to go pray and on the other, I need a strong drink! It’s Dark, It’s Sinful, it’s twisted, It’s Heartwrenching and It will blow you away! Whoa, I was just not ready for this book! I fu#ing Loved it! I discovered this author earlier this year through a different pen name and I’ve been obsessed with her characters. But Confess is on a whole different level. I love all the dark and twisted and this book just overflooded my system! Isa’s ability to make you fall in love with the devil is just exhilarating. Amedeo will hold a piece of me forever! He has completely shattered my soul. Forgive me, Father, for I was not ready for you. Carlotta is in the middle of so many secrets, she has no idea what’s in store for her. I loved her, She was strong and true. I don’t want to give anything away, this book needs to be read! Amedeo’s story needs to be told. I loved the ending! My heart was shattered and I feel like I’ve been put through the wringer, but it couldn’t have been more perfect. This is a Hauntingly Beautiful Read! Hands down a top favorite this year! So excited to see what this author has for us next! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
Confess by Isabella Starling was one of the best dark priest stories I’ve ever read. I loved it, the darker the better.
This story was one I was completely addicted to throughout the entire story and absolutely could not get enough of these two at all! The whole time I was on edge and turning pages to see what would come next. Loved everything about this story!
A very dark read and may not be for everyone, however if you like dark then Isabella Starling is your author. Confess is a dark and emotionally charged story with graphic scenes and some parts may be a trigger.

Confess is a dark, twisted story about a priest obsessed with revenge and the innocent daughter of a Mafia Kingpin. This captivating story had me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next to these intense and intriguing characters. Fantastic writing and a twisted, dark, gritty story make this a great read.
This was a hard book to read. I end up loving it. Kidnapping and torture of a young girl was hard to read about, you don’t know why until later in the book. The writer keep you reading with giving you little hints as to why. I have recommend this book!

My first time reading a book from this author. Great writing style and even hotter characters. Great story line that keeps you hooked.

Confess by Isabella Starling is a dark read, so be warned before you go in and give it a try. It tells the story of Father Amadeo Dacosta, a priest who has gone dark inside and is looking from retribution from none other than Carlotta Tomassi, a Mafia Princess who has been kept hidden and away from the world, entered into an arranged marriage by her father. But not all is what it seems as Carlotta sneaks out of the house to live a little, not expecting to get kidnapped and not understanding why.
Amadeo is a really dark character with some vulnerability, you as a reader do understand what he is doing but it does seem a bit extreme to take it out on someone who is quite possible naive and doesn’t understand what is going on. Carlotta on the other hand is quite a weak type of character, she has some fight in her but seems to give up most of the time by the overpowering presence of Amadeo.
There are a lot of twist and turns in this book as well as some quite dark, graphic scenes (so be warned). The twist at the end was interesting and you certainly didn’t see it coming.
ARC received for a fair and honest review.
