Being a Sherrilyn Kenyon, this story and the tagline caught my interest. And i’ll say it didn’t disappoint! Condemned was an intriguing, intense and fantastic read.Marianne pulls you in an exciting paranormal world of mystery and passion. This is a definite must-read!
This was my first book by this particular author and I really did enjoy myself here.
Rich in a sense of history as well as the added bonus of paranormal and romance this has something to satisfy all tastes.
I myself adored the rich tapestry of history we are exposed to as “Condemned” plays out drawing me into its rich atmospheric ambience so easily.
Set in the field of archaeology this cleverly combines the old and the new making for such a fascinating tale.
I wasn’t aware upon starting this that it was part of a series; no worries this can easily be read as a standalone; I had no issues whatsoever doing so.
I did find this quite slow growing initially with a lot of time going into building the momentum so when Dominic and Belinda eventually do meet it did seem slightly instalove.
This was one of the slight issues that pulled Condemned down a tad for me.
I’m not overly fond of the Wham Bam! I love you vibe and prefer myself much more of a slow build when it comes to the feelings department.
I also thought Belinda got over the whole Oh No; he’s a bloodsucking vampire fact far too easily, I mean come on he’s a freaken bloodsucker; you’d think she would be a tad warier than she actually was.
Once she got over the initial OMG shock she hardly gave it a second thought.
despite some slight issues I still enjoyed this very much.
It has so much going for it in terms of plot and both main characters were extremely likeable individuals.
The history here for me was a major selling point, and this delivered in spades on that front.
I also never saw that ending coming either, completely snuck up and blindsided me.
In conclusion, this was such an enjoyable read filled with Vampires, witchery, history and archaeology delivering a menagerie of flavours.
And despite having a vampire for the Hero I did not find this dark in the least.
A feel-good paranormal romance that certainly delivers on the romance front.
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of “Condemned (Cursed by Blood Saga Book 7)” of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions are entirely my own.

This is the first book I have read by Marianne Morea and I will be reading more. I’m so blown away by her writing style I don’t know where to begin. I know it’s the seventh book in the series and I normally wouldn’t start reading a series that deep into but the blurb had me hooked. Belinda and Dominic were two brilliantly written characters. Dominic took some time for me to warm up to whilst Belinda was an easy connection for me. But knowing Dominic’s back story made me realize why he is so stand-offish towards Belinda, he doesn’t want to see her get killed because of him. Will love really conquer all and break Dominic’s curse set upon him a millennia ago?
