Ariel I would like to say we were old lovers. That once upon a time he was my everything, and I was his, but that would be a lie. He may have been mine, but I wasn’t his. I was his sister’s annoying little friend who he didn’t even know was in love with him. Years later, after seeing him again for the first time, nothing has changed. Except now he notices me, and I will do everything in my power … everything in my power to avoid him. Because Falcon is the most conceited man on this planet, and because when he looks at me with steel eyes, my heart still misses a beat.
Falcon
I get what I want, and I’m never denied anything either. It’s my charm. It’s hard to say no to something you never knew you desired until I’m standing in front of you. That’s not just who I am, it’s what I do. I help men achieve everything they have ever wanted.
Most people would go to great lengths to be near me. Yet, my sweet Ariel, I can’t even get her to stay in the same room as me. Maybe it’s because I told her I would be the best lay of her life—that has to be it—and once I’m finished with her, she’s avoiding being disappointed by every other man for the rest of her life.
It couldn’t possibly be anything else, because let’s face it, I’m perfect.

””Stop stealing my kisses.” … “Those kisses are being begged to be stolen. So, I’ll keep stealing them each and every time.””
I know that TL Smith is a magician with words, but she proves time and time again how truly talented she is. Even when you think you have seen and read it all, there comes her next book and proves you wrong.
”Falcon is like a fine wine, while you have him you have to savor him.”
Conceited is like a rabbit hole, you want to know what is inside, so you dive in and keep falling. You forget about everything around you, being hold captive by Falcon and Ariel. This couple is simply fascinating. I kept grinning from the first chapter to the very last. Their banter, chemistry and attraction is way off the charts. I love how feisty Ariel is, she doesn’t take Falcon’s crap and talks right back. Ariel is a young woman who knows what she wants but stays grounded. Whereas Falcon is one of the most conceited men I’ve read so far. Despite that, he’s a person you can’t help but fall for. Conceited with a heart of gold.
”I run my fingers through his hair and count the ways I will not fall in love with him. Too late.”
Falcon’s and Ariel’s story is so far the lightest one in this series. It still has some dark elements but the way they keep clashing, it’s more like a romcom to me. Nevertheless it’s HOT and a total page turner. The pace and the way their story unfolds totally fits the couple itself.
”…because if there is anything I want more in this life, it’s her. To give her my last breath would be my honor.”
Conceited is a package full of surprises. And before you know it you’ve reached the end of the book not knowing which storm just hit you.
”He told me he wanted me to be his first, last and everthing in between.”
I have been waiting for Falcons story ever since this series came out and I have to say that there is more to Falcon than a pretty face!!
I absolutely LOVED the banter between Falcon and Ariel, and the way that she put him in his place time and again was EPIC!!!
The Crimson Elite is once again threatened to be exposed and the guys must do what they must to protect all of those that involved but when it involves one of their own, the angst will have you on the edge of your seat!!!
T.L Smith knows exactly what her readers yearn for and she delivers more than what is expected with every single story she gives us!!
Conceited by T.L Smith is perfection!
He was her love.
She is his undoing.
Together Falcon and Ariel ‘Raven’ are explosive. However secrets and obsession aren’t the best mix, but with these two it’s like a game of cat and mouse! Will they resist or give in to temptation?
I couldn’t get enough of Falcon’s story. He’s such a smart mouthed smooth talker and totally clueless. Getting to know him was a heart throbbing experience.
I totally drawled over these two! I love them so much!!
This novel was SO MUCH MORE than I thought it would be and I can’t wait for more of the Crimson Elite family!!
I’ve been waiting on Falcon’s story and it didn’t disappoint. Falcon is a committed womaniser, he loves women and has no intentions of settling down. Ariel has been in love with him for years but after a rejection she now can’t stand him. I loved the way Falcon has to chase after Ariel. When he sees a women he wants he becomes very determined, just loved her put downs. The problems come when Ariel who’s a reporter is looking into the club a club that must stay a secret.
I enjoyed the relationship between the main characters, the witty back and forth banter, genuine affection and sizzling hot chemistry. An intriguing story with a dark element running throughout. What happens when the secret must be protected at all costs will the Falcon protect his Raven.
Going into this story you know one thing is going to be true; it’s going to be an angsty, tear-your-hair-out ride from start to finish! That’s because this is Falcon and Ariel’s story and they don’t disappoint!
These two are so far from connected on any plane at the start of this book, you will wonder if they will ever find their way past their own issues and arrogance to let their simmering volatile chemistry ignite into anything worthy of passion.
And I have to admit, even when it did, I was a little unbelieving that they got there at all as neither of them had put their own concerns aside, but this author can build heat from an icicle, or so its seems, and this fiery duo do get to sear up the pages.
It’s strange for me to get through an entire story and still at the end be even less connected with the characters than I was at the beginning; but it’s less about the characters in this book for me, and more about the writing.
I do love how TL Smith pulls these characters together, and she does it here with them kicking and screaming with her signature sharp and darkly enticing style.
With the stage set for Darby’s story to round out the Crimson Elite series, I’m looking forward to more wicked brilliance from this author!
Conceited is book three in the Crimson Elite series by T. L. Smith. In this instalment, we get to know Ariel and Falcon. My word, are they an entertaining couple. They have kept me awake for hours and thinking of them for days. They would have to be one of the most charismatic and dynamic couples i have ever read about. There was just that special something about the that was so appealing, it was almost obsession.
Ariel and Falcon had a rough road to happiness. So rough, it was impassable at times. He was grade A mean man. Treat them mean was his catch phrase. The level of entertainment they provided is hard to measure and beyond comparison. I was not ready to reach the end when I did. So hard to say goodbye to them. Conceited is a story that will be reread many times, and still it will feel like the first time. Every time. 5 stars
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Conceited is the third book in the Crimson Elite Series but it can be read as a standalone. I have read all these books though and you do not want to miss a one of them. This is the story of Ariel and Falcon. Ariel has been best friends with Falcon’s sister for forever. She too has been in love with Falcon since she was a teenager. However Falcon rejected her and now isn’t willing to settle down on anyone. These two have more chemistry than should be legal. However Falcon and his friends keep their business secret and Ariel is a report thus she to the other guys is a problem. However Falcon feels differently. He does not think she will be a problem and is determined to get her in his bed. Falcon puts the W in womanizer. Ariel wants a relationship while Falcon has never been on a date. This book will have you hooked from beginning to the end. If I had not had to sleep I wouldn’t not have put it down and reading it in one go. You do not want to miss this book!!!
Conceited is Falcon’s story, the third book in the Crimson Elite series.
Falcon, knows exactly what he wants, goes after it and always gets it. Never has to work hard to get a woman and never goes back twice – until Raven. She used be his sister’s annoying friend, now shes grown up, beautiful and on his radar. He just wants a taste. One problem, she hates him.
Ariel, has spent the last four years staying away from the man she had a teenage crush on. But their paths cross while shes working on a story. A story about an Elite club. A story that could have dangerous consequences, if it is published.
Falcon and Ariel’s story is my favourite of the Crimson Elite series. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. The angst, the chemistry, the heartbreak, the suspense it all pulled at my emotions. A definite must read.
Even though each part of Crimson Elite can be read as a standalone, I fully recommend reading the series from the start.
I’ve felt so invested in the characters in this series, I don’t know how I’ll cope after Darby’s story, knowing that it’s the last in the series.
This is the third in the Crimson Elite series but could be read as standalone (though you’d be missing a LOT of information about his business partners and their respective significant others).
Falcon gets his turn in this story, and we get to know more about his sister Tracey and her BFF Ariel. This couple allows the series to incorporate some of my favorite tropes – second chance (kind of) from younger days, enemies to lovers and best friend’s brother.
Falcon is not my favorite personality of the CE guys, but in the end he does win me over. I like Ariel. I can relate to her and most of her reactions to Falcon’s words and actions and her life in general. I like that the author breaks her Alphas down completely as they find their ‘one’.
If you like a sexy romance with some darker themes, this series is a good choice for you!
This series steps up a notch with the arrival of Falcon’s story. The confirmed man-whore of the quartet, this one-and-done man is about to be brought to his knees.
The woman who finally stops Falcon in his tracks is his sisters best friend, Ariel. A beauty with raven black hair, she’s held a candle for him since her teenage years. His rejection of her then fuels her resistance to him now. She’s determined not to be another notch on his bedpost.
Falcon is not used to being denied. He’s never had to work for a woman’s interest before. Soon, Ariel (Raven being his pet name for her) is an itch he can’t scratch and it’s driving him wild. He becomes a man on a mission, determined to make her see how good they could be.
Falcon eventually wins, as he always does, and once is just not enough. A sizzling hot affair commences, right up until the point when ‘Raven’ discovers all about the Crimson Elite. And she wants nothing to do with Falcon any more.
Perversely, Falcon’s descent into despair over losing Raven is my favourite part of the story. This once cool, suave lady killer is thrown into the kind of chaos he despises. Love literally knocks him off his feet, and only drastic, terrible actions snap him out of his lethargy.
This is my favourite book of the series so far. I expected Falcon to be a superficial, hedonistic character but he proved to be so much more. He’s intriguing, compelling and oh-so-sexy. Raven is the perfect foil for his Casanova ways and exactly what he wasn’t looking for but absolutely needed. A stunning read.
I enjoyed Falcon & Ariel’s story! It took me a little bit to get into it but once I did I was hooked! Falcon definitely matches the definition of conceited!! But underneath it allows much much more. Ariel wasn’t my favorite heroine from this series but she grew on me!! Loved catching up with the other Elite boys and their ladies!! Cannot wait until the next book!
Just when you think you can’t possibly be more obsessed with the next Crimson Elite book, TL Smith publishes another one and proves you wrong!!
Falcon and Raven are electric! I love this couple so much! There is tons of chemistry and just enough push and pull to keep you turning the pages. Absolutely love these Crimson Elite boys and will be sad to see them go… but may they forever live on my shelf <3
Ah the third in this fabulous Crimson Elite series is finally here and what a gem it is too!
Falcon Marseilles is the third member of the Crimson Elite team and he is a honey, an arrogant, self-assured one for sure, but still a honey. His self confidence is a bit overwhelming at times though until he comes to a time he finds difficult because it’s so new to him and he doesn’t want to stuff it up! This should have clues him in to his true feelings but remember his arrogance? Yeah!
Ariel is a strong, self assured young woman who is really easy to like as a character. I loved it when she gave Falcon some curry, showing she wasn’t a pushover. Plus her honesty is so refreshing, for example after Falcon asks if his confidence insults her and she says, “…You’re the only person I’ve met who has so much confidence you could blow the president out of the water with a single glance.”
Some good humour had me chuckling if not out right laughing aloud, especially when Echo and Creed decide to break down Falcon’s door! Hilarious it of slapstick humour. As well to balance things out there is the inevitable dark side and you can’t get any darker than the threat of death! This too is executed smoothly and doesn’t overwhelm or overtake the storyline.
Another great book in this series I totally recommend but if you haven’t read the first two do that to gain a full understanding.
Homerun and then some. Can’t say enough about this amazing book. Absolutely loved Falcon and Raven’s story. Raven’s loved Falcon since she was 17. Falcon’s lusted over Raven since they were kids. Can they overcome all the obstacles to be together? Oh so good. Oh so steamy. Oh so yummy.

Falcon !! Yes!! You sexy play boy you !!
But all playboys can be tamed right ?!? Guess you will have to read it to find out for yourself !! Lol
I love this series. The drama is over the top. I can’t wait for the next book but then I’m like oh no it’s almost over. I have some serious mixed feelings.
It’s here! The third book in the Crimson Elite series Conceited by T.L. Smith. These stories just keep getting better and better and I have loved them all. With great characters that will pull you in and make you never want to let go. With a naughty playboy who has never had a relationship Conceited tells Falcon’s story and it is over the top out of control. Funny in a way that you don’t expect,
Falcon doesn’t know how to date so his methods are outrageous. Lots of drama and sex, this book is fantastic. Of course, T.L. Smith can only write stories worth 5-stars and Conceited is no different. The fourth book Insolent is due out soon and will tell the story of the clubs most closed off owner Darby.
Ariel/ Raven always had a thing for her best friend’s older brother Falcon. After years of not seeing him she is blown away by his incredibly good looks and his overwhelming Conceited personality. Ariel was always off limits to Falcon because of the age difference and being his sister’s best friend, but Ariel is all grown up now and the dark-haired beauty that he has nicknamed Raven is fair game. When Ariel comes across a story about a private sex club, she can’t help but run with it, no matter the anonymous warnings she keeps getting. Soon after her source is killed all the pieces start to come together and Ariel can no longer deny the players involved with the club. Falcon has just gotten Ariel/Raven to give him a chance, and since he’s had a taste, he doesn’t want to let go, if he could just get her to drop the story about the club. The boys have warned him to clean up his mess, but Falcon is Conceited enough that he thinks he can have the girl and his business, but his conceit just may cost Ariel her life.
Hes not a keeper, he goes through women like hot dinners. Their bodies call to him not their minds.
Shes a friend of his sisters, who threw herself at him along with some bodily fluids as an underage teenager.
One night perceived so differently by two people who both wanted more.
Now it hangs in the air. Puzzling him, whilst filling her with fire and rage.
The crimson elite is completely under the radar. Only the deserving know, and only those sought out get in.
This book shines a light on another of the owners. Hes falcon by name and falcon by nature!
I found him hard to like at the beginning as he was everything I didnt like in a man. But as time went on I saw there was more to him than what I originally thought and then I began to warm towards him.
Ariel is like a blood hound especially when theres a scoop nearby. Her own safety goes out the window and whilst I almost admired how carefree she was, I felt scared for her on quite a few occasions.
Both characters are strong and fiery, temperamental and headstrong, but underneath their hearts are full of passion and the amount of love they show for those dear to them is beautiful to watch.
I really enjoyed getting to know falcon but I must admit hes not my favourite of the owners, and wont be added to my book boyfriend list.
A solid four stars is what I’m giving this book as I didnt feel it was quite as good as the others, but whilst I wasnt totally gripped by it I was thoroughly entertained.
Conceited is the third book in the Crimson Elite series and is Falcon’s story.
I am going to admit, Falcon hasn’t been one of my favorite men. Yes I know, I know I’m in the minority but I just couldn’t gel with the guy. Having met him through the first two novels in the series I was like ‘meh’ I could take him or leave him because guys his as arrogant AF!!
But you know what?
My mind has simply been blown, and I have nothing but a new found respect, admiration and love for the man.
Yes T.L managed yet again to manipulate my every thought and change my views completely.
In this suspense filled novel which by the way is also full of angst and bleeds heartache with added touches of darkness, Conceited was perfect in every way.
Falcon and Ariel’s story captured my heart and mind.
The conceited Falcon.
The sweet and loving Ariel.
Two opposites who grew up together.
One fell hard for the other.
One simply couldn’t.
But why?
What were the reasons?
Who pulled back?
So many questions…….
Fast forward years later. They’ve both grown.
Still the conceited Falcon.
Still the sweet and loving Ariel.
Two opposites drawn to one another.
One wants to fall.
One is too afraid to fall.
How long before the chemistry between these two becomes too much?
How long before Falcon and Ariel finally give in and fall?
Will it ever be a possibility, or will it all be destroyed by one secret, a few dates and a man that is willing to tell all?
Yep I know, sounds kinda confusing, but let me tell you it will all make perfect sense once you pick up this beauty of a novel.
I just loved this novel and I can’t recommend it highly enough. A perfect balance of emotion that takes your breath away, is as hot as sin, deliciously cheeky and all kinds of twisted with a dark and dangerous edge.
A definite 5 star read.
Finally we get the notorious playboy Falcon’s book! And holy was it ever good, what a perfect match for him, Ariel is smart ,funny and take no sh!t kinda girl. He runs an elite secret sex club and she is a reporter…. And that in itself brings problems, oh so many problems. These two together are electric, u can feel it thru the pages. I can’t wait to read more about these controlling boys!
Conceited is the third book in the Crimson Elite. You could possibly read each book as standalone but that’s no fun. These dark, mysterious men deserve to be read in order. Their stories will rock you and leave you wanting more.
Falcon you Ahole!!!! Can’t even lie though, I got teary eyed with a certain part between Falcon and Ariel. You’ll need to read Falcon’s story to see if a manwhore can be tamed or not. I still want more of all of the characters. Darby’s story can’t come fast enough.
