Ariel I would like to say we were old lovers. That once upon a time he was my everything, and I was his, but that would be a lie. He may have been mine, but I wasn’t his. I was his sister’s annoying little friend who he didn’t even know was in love with him. Years later, after seeing him again for the first time, nothing has changed. Except now he notices me, and I will do everything in my power … everything in my power to avoid him. Because Falcon is the most conceited man on this planet, and because when he looks at me with steel eyes, my heart still misses a beat.
Falcon
I get what I want, and I’m never denied anything either. It’s my charm. It’s hard to say no to something you never knew you desired until I’m standing in front of you. That’s not just who I am, it’s what I do. I help men achieve everything they have ever wanted.
Most people would go to great lengths to be near me. Yet, my sweet Ariel, I can’t even get her to stay in the same room as me. Maybe it’s because I told her I would be the best lay of her life—that has to be it—and once I’m finished with her, she’s avoiding being disappointed by every other man for the rest of her life.
It couldn’t possibly be anything else, because let’s face it, I’m perfect.
*Can be read as a Standalone*

It was a good book absolutely loved it highly recommend it
If you didn’t already know this, T.L. Smith is brilliant! She can take any man and make him lovable and have him redeem himself. Falcon is presented as totally and completely conceited, which is totally true. Ariel is his sister’s best friend and off limits no matter what, at least she used to be. Once they meet up again circumstances keep bringing them together and well, falcon knows what he wants and that’s Ariel. I loved watching Falcon fall even when he didn’t realize what was happening. Ariel was determined to stay way from the ever present Falcon and his over powering presence, but that doesn’t work very well. I loved the twists and turns this story took, it kept me glued to the pages. The chemistry between Falcon and Ariel is incredible and burned up the pages! i can’t wait for the next work of art from T.L. Smith!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by author)…
3.75 stars
As you may know, Falcon is the unapologetic manwhore and sh*t stirrer of the group. Well it seems he met his match with his sister’s longtime bestie, Ariel aka Raven. I did truly enjoy their story because there was nothing or sweet about their “courtship” basically since Ariel absolutely despises Falcon’s manwhore ways. Unfortunately for Ariel, Falcon is not a quitter and he truly wanted his Raven badly.
I loved seeing Creed, El, Echo, and Storm and seeing how their relationships are progressing. I will say Darby is still a turd, but I was completely surprised about his situation, never thought he would be the one to go through that. Now although I did love the story, the conflict between Falcon and Ariel at the end did confuse me; after everything that happened with/to Ariel, it did seem like Falcon became the victim more than her.
I do love a redeemed manwhore 😉
Also does Tracey have a wife or a girlfriend? The term kept changing throughout the book so I wasn’t sure.
With each book in this series it just gets better and better. Falcon and Ariel were great and I just loved these two and the story as a whole. They had a connection that was intense but she was determined to stay away but its hard to keep resisting him when hes so persistent. What he wants is what he gets and hes not letting her get away from him. Just great and really could not put down whatsoever!!!
I have never read a T.L. Smith book that I haven’t loved. I really enjoy her writing style, and just like the previous two books, Conceited will keep you riveted to its pages. I couldn’t put this one down and read it all in one sitting. The two leads had explosive chemistry and absolutely burned up the pages. The plot was fast-paced and intriguing. I loved every single thing about this novel!
Falcon is one of the four owners of the Crimson Elite sex club. He is smoking hot, witty and very full of himself. He is the playboy of the group and it’s well known that he never sleeps with a woman more than once. He has never wanted to until her.
Ariel is a reporter and best friends with Falcon’s sister. As a teenager, she had a massive crush on him. But when she made her move, she was rejected leaving her heartbroken and full of hate. She has successfully avoided him for years, but her current story put her right in his path. She’s older now, sexier than ever and he has definitely taken notice.
Trying to get her first big break, Ariel pursues the rumors of an elite sex club in the city. The place is exclusive and the members are sworn to secrecy. Nobody is to know the location or anything that goes on behind closed doors. If any secrets are spilled, the consequences are severe and usually paid with their life. When Ariel gets too close, the deadly games begin and she soon finds herself in danger. Will Falcon turn against the club in order to save her life?
Conceited is a story full angst, suspense, danger and steamy hot sexy times. I absolutely loved it! This author’s books are always so intense and filled with delicious darkness. I am drawn to the dark and depraved like a moth is to a flame. This is definitely not one of her darker books, but I still enjoyed every second of it. 5 Dangerously delicious stars!
This series just gets better and better. We follow the story of Falcon and how he falls into the same trap as his friends have in previous books, and that’s love. It’s an excellent read and one that you will read from page one right until the end of the book, without putting it down.
Looking forward to the next in the series.
Conceited – Crimson Elite Book #3 – T.L. Smith
T.L.Smith is taking the Crimson Elite stories to the next level and Conceited has definitely delivered all the feels.
Smoking hot men, sassy women but the core of the story, the Crimson Elite Men, continue to surprise.
Falcon is the consummate manwhore, bedding any and every woman he can but when a feisty raven haired woman re enters his life, he will go to any lengths to protect her.
Ariel has had a love/hate emotional attachment to Falcon since she was seventeen but she’s done playing games with him….. she’s ready to rid herself of the lingering feelings she has for him… or is she.
Powerfully written characters with such diverse personalities make this book and the entire series, utterly captivating.
I’m ready for Darby’s twisted story to be revealed and can’t wait for it. Thoroughly brilliant story. Thanks T L Smith.
5 Stars
Another great read in this series. I’ve been not so patiently waiting for Falcon and it did not disappoint. I couldn’t put it down. Do you yourself a favor and read it if you haven’t already!
Oh Falcon…. I was eager to read about his story. I always love a H that falls so deep in love when he is a player, but my favorite part in Conceited was definetly Ariel. She has everything I love, strong, independent, doesn’t take Falcon’s attitude and she knows what she wants. I liked reading about the others too, the brotherhood they have is perfect. Echo is my favorite in this series so far, but now I’m eager to read about Darby. 5 sexy stars
Falcon and Ariel’s book! Might be my favorite of the series but you have to read Cavalier and Anguished first. Well you don’t have to but it would make more sense if you did to get a better picture of the Crimson Elite club. It has its funny moments but has some dark elements too. Great series and I look forward to more!
Well, Well, Well T.L. Smith does it again., not that there was ever any doubt. The guys of Crimson Elite are next level HOT and Falcon is exactly as the title suggests Conceited and extremely sexy as hell.
Book 3 in the Crimson Elite Series is about Falcon and his smart talking arrogant mouth, and boy does he know how to work it. Apart from his good looks and his feisty mouth he is still a little dark and mysterious, all of the Elite are.
Ariel has a second chance at possible love, problem is the past has left her heartbroken and she’s not ready to acknowledge just how much nor is she about to give Falcon a second chance. Lucky he can persuasive when he needs to be. There is so much of their past that she doesn’t know and only he can make it right, you guessed it though nothing is ever smooth sailing. In fact I would call them The Perfect Storm.
The banter and chemistry between these two leads was the reason I enjoyed this book so much. It’s a credit to T.L. Smith because you can’t help but get invested each and every time you read her books because the characters each have their own unique storylines. This series has become one of my favs this year, these boys will suck you right in and have you addicted to their journey from the prologue.
IF you are a lover of second chance romances like me then this book is a definite must click for you, you will love it as much as I did.
I don’t give out that many five star ratings but when I find myself so lost in a story that I laugh out loud with the characters or catch myself arching a brow at their antics – that for me is a perfect read.
The cast from Crimson Elite is so vivid, as a reader, it is easy to connect with them on a deeper level, the kind where they stay with you long after you close the pages
“I was once scared like you. Funny thing, that is. ”
I loved them! Falcon and Raven might be my favorite couple!
The two of them together were explosive.
Raven had me in stitches! She is witty, smart and definitely held her own when it comes to Falcon. I was dying each time our girl knocked him back a peg.
Falcon was the most arrogant, self-centered, head over heels in love, alpha arse. I almost felt a teeny bit sorry for him towards the end.
There is past history between these two and it is was as much of a mess then as their current predicament is now
From the moment you enter the pages of Conceited, you will find yourself captured – be prepared for lots of twists and a few surprises and a touch of angst
( Oh and “D” just a word for you – Karma )
I don’t know if this is listed as a standalone, I’m sure it could be read that way –
It is easy to follow but IMO you should read the first two books. It gives you more background regarding the supporting characters and their roles and also allows for a stronger emotional connection and immersion into the story.
4.5 Stars for this super hot and sexy romantic suspense.
He was her first love when she was younger…too bad it wasn’t mutual. She was rejected and it broke her heart. Now she’s all grown up and he’s about to finally take notice.
Falcon is a partner in Crimson Elite and their recruiter for new members. He is also super sexy and straight up gorgeous! With incredible confidence of his looks and bedroom skills, some might say full of himself. You will love him!
Ariel is in pursuit of the story that could advance her career. However, the club is Elite for a reason and getting her story could cost her everything. Falcon needs to find a way to keep her safe.
Falcon was sexy, persistent and once he set his sights on Ariel, he was determined. The past between them, that she remembers, is not the whole story. He’s ready for her to hear the truth and give them a chance.
Their banter and sexual tension was witty and intense. He was the guy who thought women were something to be enjoyed and then quickly discarded. He’s about to get schooled! All she wanted was to find the person to share her life. Together they would find everything they need.
I really enjoy this series! We got to catch up with the entire crew and their ladies. I’m looking forward to Darby’s story. And I just loved Falcon! He’s my favorite.
Gah this series just gets better and better. I love every freaking word in this book. Falcon met his match in Ariel, and I love, love, love it. The story was a tad dark, nothing like other books by this author, but for sure the darkest of the series. The by play between the characters, the pace of the book, the overall vibe is just really working for me. This is told in dual pov, so you really get to know both characters and their mindset. Do yourself a favor and read this book. I know you won’t be sorry, and I wouldn’t steer you wrong.
Love this series
Intense beautiful broken heart stopping love story of Falcon and Ariel.Meed more
A Crimson Elite Novel. “I was his sister’s annoying little friend who he didn’t even know was in love with him.” I love books involving “crushes.” But oh my! Ariel has her work cut out for her to spurn the advances of her crush. Why? Falcon is soooooooo conceited! Will he be able to get what he wants? He says he always does! T.L. Smith elicited several emotions from me, laughing, crying. I loved being entertained by Ariel and Falcon, A LOT!
Perfect title for Falcon, the third boy in this series. He is that one conceited certified manhor(and yes I misspelled it) and seeing how he work so hard for one simple date with his Raven, it’s so humbling. I love seing his journey from a boy to become the man.
And Raven aka Ariel…from that little girl with crush to teen-age with her first love until her first heart break to find her love in one man… She’s not perfect, but I admire her courage.
But if you think this is a simple love story between a former Playboy and his little sister best friend….you certainly never read T. L. Smith’s books
There’s a Twist from the elite.
Secret that would got her killed.
Secret for him protect no matter what including getting rid of the only woman who can make him feels different.
Little Twist that would cause their life forever.
Would they survive?
FYI… This Twist exactly why I give 5 star.
Book 3 is Conceited and it suits Falcon. He is a man who had never had to chase a wowan EVER they simply fall at his feet a real manwhore. Ariel (Raven) who is best friends with Falcon’s sister Tracey they all grew up together, however Raven was only ever seen as his younger sister’s friend, as she was under age drunk when he saw her trying to seduce him at a party. Time passes and Raven returns as a journalist trying to get the scoop on the Crimson Elite sex club. Disaster unfolds when the other guys from the club learns of Ariel’s involvement in the threat to publish details of the club. Falcon being a conceited as he is can’t understand why Raven won’t just sleep with him. Falcon never chases a woman NEVER but finds herself chasing Raven and she won’t submit to him. This is one of the best series that I have read. Highly recommended read. I hope it continues, so many stories need to be told. Wonderful characters great storylines, captivating reading.
It’s Falcons story and he’s a hot, womanizing, manwhore. He has all the confidence in the world where women are concerned because he’s sexy as sin and knows it. Ariel is after a story that could set her career on a high note, she’s finding getting a Crimson Elite story harder than expected. Also Falcon has to find away to keep her safe.
A very intense tale with an intriguing, suspenseful storyline and very hot.
I highly recommend this book!
I am totally loving this fantastic series and this book was a little tame compared to the first 2 books in the series, however it didn’t lack the punch that the other delivered it was just different. I suppose that can be put down to the characters and the interaction that you get from them.
Yes I know I am being completely vague in my view and opinions but if I was to full on tell you the why’s and what fors then the whole story would be ruined. Because this story isn’t about a stranger coming into the fold. It’s about someone they all know. Falcon plays a cat and mouse game with Ariel aka Raven and the game isn’t easy or fun for any of them at all.
Falcon is a total ladies man and can be a bit of a pig in some respects when it comes to women, it’s not that he isn’t honest, it’s just that he see them as indispensable in some ways. He never has to work for it. Until Ariel fires back in a total feisty way that Falcon just can deal with. Ariel is one tough, no nonsense woman and she doesn’t suffer fool, especially not Falcon.
This story is hard to read in parts and friendships are strained to breaking point. Now that’s all your getting from me, as perhaps I have said too much already. Know it’s a great story, totally worth the read and a great addition to this series. A total recommend from me.
