Does that make them enemies or lovers? One thing’s for sure—it’s going to get complicated. See why readers are calling the Complicated Hearts duet “An unconventional, New Adult romance unlike any other.”This is Book Two (the final book) in the … Book Two (the final book) in the Complicated Hearts Duet. Book One must be read first.
Warning: This book is not for everyone. These characters are flawed and the situation is intense and frustrating. Emotions—all of them—run high. If you’re looking for perfect characters and a perfect story…this book isn’t for you.
Trigger Warning:
This story is strange and unconventional. It’s everything you hate. That’s the only warning I can offer you.

OMG! This story is amazing you must read the first. Asher, Breslin and Landon have this wonderful relationship with a whole lot of problems. They have everything fighting against them sometimes their selves but all the drama in this book is so worth it in the end.
Boy oh Boy does this duet have the right title, because complicated is right when it comes to the lives of the characters in this story.
I admit I was terrified about where Ashley would take this after the ending of book 1. Talk about the ultimate jaw dropping cliffhanger. ( which I loved )
I needn’t of worried because the story flowed perfectly and it was believable.
I’m not the biggest fan of MMF because I always feel strongly about someone getting hurt because of it.
This Duet was kind of an eye opener for me because I could feel the connection between all three.
My heart was hurting for them, then I wanted to punch them, hug them, also I wanted to be them. Because honestly, Hott Damn!!! Those scenes were scorching.
I was hooked from the beginning of Asher , Breslin and Landons story. I loved every minute of it.
I know the team I’m on but I’m not saying. You need to decide for yourself.
Fantastic Duet and highly recommended.
This is book 2 in the Complicated Hearts Duet and it did not disappoint!
I loved book 2 even more than the first. I love how everything came together with these characters. It made me laugh and almost cry. It was heartbreaking at times and i could not put it down until I finished it. This is real life! This book and these characters are everything!
These will forever be 2 of my favorite books. I only wish there was more!
If there are 10 stars.. I would give it away as 10 stars. This is one challenging roller coaster book… a triangle relationship can be so complicated.. Asher..Breslin.. Landon… can each of them decide whats best for them?
It broke my heart to see how they struggle with their own feelings… how to love.. so complicated yet the attraction is very deep and magnetic.. its consuming…raw.. painstaking hurt… I can feel their fear.. how scared you are to lose someone or being the second choices..
The layer of secret and betrayal are so much.. my head is spinning.. i love how it isnt a safe book.. its not your typical romance.. its romance with many IF – BUT – OR .. its angst. Its deep in your soul type of romance. Its burning raw feelings..Its not only saying I love you… its a love.. so much .. it can hurt to the bone and soul… true love cant only happen once.. by twice in the same time..
My heart cant bare more sadness.. this book is so beautiful.. i cheer it all the way. Its so good with every single words of it…
3.5-4 Stars
Breslin, Asher and Landon have an unconventional relationship but they try to make it work because of love. It’s not easy. There’s tension and jealousy because Breslin and Asher have history. I enjoyed how they struggled and also how hard they fought to make their relationship work cause they truly did love and needed each other in their lives. It’s difficult and emotional. Their chemistry and scenes together were hot as hell. I really liked Asher and Landon but I had my issues with Breslin. I felt she was stuck too much in the past and she pitied herself when she should have embraced her strength and past instead. Luckily those minor issues didn’t ruin my enjoyment of Complicated Hearts
Holy sh*t!!! Loved the second book in this duet!!!! Highly recommended!
This is not a stand alone! you need to read book 1 to understand what is happening. That being said, The complicated hearts of this is everything you’d expect. I couldn’t put this down loved every word didn’t want it to end! Breslin, Asher, and Landon continue their journey. Incredibly written with such beautifully broken characters. NO SPOILERS believe me you will want to read all about it on your own. BUT WARNING THIS IS A M/F/M LOVE STORY, PLEASE DON’T GIVE A HATEFUL REVIEW. BE WARNED THIS HAS HOT STEAMY SEX. That is all! Go buy Ashley’s books, you won’t be disappointed.
After reading book one, and it ending on a cliffhanger, I was anxious for this book. It didn’t disappoint. These are the first books I’ve read by this author. To say the story lives up to its title would be an understatement. Breslin is filled with so much anger and pain towards Ash for what he did to her, or what she believes he did to her, that I didn’t think she’d ever move on from that. The relationship between Landon and Ash I loved. Between Breslin and Landon I loved, but I really wanted her to forgive Ash. He’s being going through his own personal hell for those few years. The story had plenty of twists and turns and an unexpected return of a character from book one nearly ended everything for this trio. This story proves that there is no black and white, right or wrong to love. It comes in many forms and it proves that it is possible for three people to love one another equally.
I hate writing a review for a book like this, their are none that could tell you how enamoured I am by this poly relationship, and just all the characters. I am obsessed with this story it’s different from everything else I’ve ever read. It broke me and then put me back together . I don’t think that this read could have ended any other way then with a everyone together. Asher, Breslin, and Landon are now my top topped trio and don’t know if anyone can beat the , although Kit I am sure will give it a go. Everyone should give this story a try, a keep an open mind. I can see me rereading this a million times
The culmination of all the pain, the confusion, and the doubts that book 1 introduced us to.
Wow, I have no words for the way Ashley Jade has captured this masterpiece.
I’ve always heard the saying that three’s a crowd.
It’s taboo.
Frowned upon, judged.
All those and more are touched upon in this story. I love that it not only mentions these issues but you actually get an in-depth look into the struggles and begin to understand why and how.
This really is about love. The kind that takes over your whole being, the kind that goes over everything you know and turns it around 180 degrees, the kind that makes you see how understanding love really is, how encompassing it is on every level.
Asher and Breslin, and now, Landon, are three people who experience this type of love, not without consequences though. Heartbreakingly real consequences that will tear them down before they are able to piece themselves together.
In this story, love is not owned by just one, it is not exclusive to just one. It is broad, covering all the parts that fulfill each of them differently.
Author Ashley Jade gives us immenselfy complicated and in-depth characters that we get introduced to in the first book but we get to know in this one.
I loved this book. I really understood these characters and the things they were all going through.
All the feels in this one is amazing, like a roller coaster that will leave you reeling but still, wanting to see more.
The pain was heartbreaking to witness, the doubts and insecurities were tragic to feel, but the love, the love was uplifting to see.
This isn’t for the judegemental.
Not for the close minded.
Not for the prejudiced.
This book is for the lovers. For the fighters, for those that champion love and freedom.
After finishing the first book of this duet I couldn’t wait to dive into this one. Ashley Jade gives her readers everything they are hoping for with this book….emotional angst, twists and turns, and a HEA!!
Beautifully Complicated.
It’s hard to put into words how I loved this book. Words can’t even cover it.
Ashely weaved this incredible story of love, strength and resilience. I have a short list of authors that I have found that take words on a page and turn them into fully developed three demential characters this duet placed Ashley on that list. I truly feel like I know Landon, Asher and Breslin. I felt their pain and love.
Now for the fun stuff. Good lord those scene were epic. I am sooooo jealous of Breslin! This author can write a sex scene! The balance between the action of the scene and the raw emotion behind it just comes alive on the page.
Ashley out did herself with this duet. It was beautiful complicated and sinfully hot.
PS. There is a Spotify playlist the author created “Complicated Hearts” by vixen2323. Its a perfect listening companion. Plus it’s a great playlist when your not reading.
This book was so worth the wait, so worth the cliffhanger, so worth it all! The emotion of Asher, Breslin, and Landon was honestly so breathtaking. The words came alive, brought the characters to life, in ways I cant even describe fully. Ashley Jade made something so Taboo and crazy just speak to you.
From watching Breslin struggle with her past and her trust issues for both of the guys and where she is left after all is said and done, to seeing Asher struggle with having the love of his life push him away in every way possible, but trying for the other part of him. To the heart wrenching feelings and insecureties Landon has about Breslin and Asher finally realising just how inlove they are and finally putting the past away and moving forward without him……
The love the three of these share is beyond what most people find in a lifetime.
Complicated hearts part 2 finished off where part 1 left off, Landon and Asher are to hot for words. Bri included makes the trio them scorching hot.
The feelings Breslin lives off of for the last 3 years comes to an end, she finally gets her answers and learns who her real family is. Landon gets to live his life long dream during christmas break playing music for a band and Landon finally beats his own demon’s and is able to get the his college team a win they have been needing for many years.
Ashley has become one of my favorite authors, I love her writing style and I am going to have to get her other books and do some binge reading.
I got chills, goosebumps all over my body, and my eyes are so puffy and red from crying my eyes out that I really can’t even find the right words to describe what this story has done to me.
If I thought the first book had left me raw, this one just obliterated my soul. There is no way to actually express how much the author’s characters got inside my mind, heart and soul. The only way to actually explain how I feel after reading CH is that my heart was placed intoblender together with every single action I read and every single emotion I felt, only to become the perfect emotional cocktail.
And what a cocktail it was because now I have the biggest book hangover I have experienced in a really long time. I don’t think there’s a way for me to recover after this. And God only knows I don’t what to. Because to read this story hs forever change me s a reader and as a person. And the result is so overwhelmingly beautiful I can’t wait to get absorb by another of the author’s stories so she can do what she hs just done to me all over again.
Reading CH was without a doubt worth of every one of my emotions and I know I’ll be reading this story over and over again in years to come.
“I guess this situation just got even more complicated then.”…I lean down until my lips are ghosting over his ear. “Because I’m not only fighting for her now. I’m fighting for the both of you.”
Gaaaahhh….There is no #TeamLandon, #TeamBreslin, or #TeamAsher anymore….there is only #TeamComplicated. If after reading this half of the duet, you don’t completely fall for all three, you need your head checked. No one, and I mean no one does beautifully broken characters like this Author and I read this as if my life depended on it. The relationship evolved into one of the hottest potential heartbreaks I have ever experienced…These characters pulled out the stops and we saw so much more of who they were and I fell deep for each and every one. I can’t even explain to you how good of a book this was, I can only tell you that you need to read it.
“It feels like my heart is being pulled in two different directions and I’ll never be whole again-because I need them both; in equal measures, for entirely different reasons.”
My feels exploded the entire time, the pull and magnetism between these characters is as intoxicating as a drinking binge on New Year’s Eve, left me stumbling and smiling like a lunatic. Breslin showed her fire, Asher showed his vulnerability, and much to my lady part’s happiness, Landon got Alpha and burned up my kindle…and I mean, I actually felt my whole body tingle through some of their scenes…not even kidding. Whew….
“One sets my soul on fire and rocks me to my core, breaking me into a thousand tiny pieces over and over. The other is the balm that heals me and puts me back together again.”
With so much against them being together, you don’t even anticipate all the events that transpire towards the end…at one point I was crying like a toddler that lost his teddy bear. I became so completely invested in this triangle, that there was no possibility other than how it ended up. The ending? Not telling….But I have to tell you that this Author is a master of Romantic imagery…she will take a tiny piece of a backstory and weave it in so that it packs a punch to your heart and leaves you reeling and wanting your own Asher and Landon….and sidenote: I want to be Breslin when I grow up…True Story. My favorite thing about this book is the contented, sated feeling (yet, breathless and exhausted) that you get after reading a book of this caliber….Going in my top reads of the year, no doubt. I thank the Author both for writing and allowing me to review!!

This book is a definite must read!! The emotions are riviting!! A roller coaster ride of epic portion. Best afternoon spent reading in a long time!!! A one click for sure!
Book Two in the duet is feels start to finish. Book One had an “Oh My Gods!” kind of ending, that book two started on nothing less than a bang, and it kept right on going. Breslin finds out about Asher and Landon, and the consequences of that unfold, but at the same time Breslin also has to come to terms with her feelings about Asher. However Landon is stuck as a mediator of sorts between them, all the while he’s dealing with his own feelings for them both. You add Asher with his near obsessive love for Breslin and, his intense need for Landon, and this relationship is beyond complicated. It has so many feels that you’ll be crying through the chapters but flipping the pages faster, and faster to see where they’re going. One of my favorite duets to this day!!! Love Ashley Jade.
OMG! Ashley has done an ahhhmmmazzzzing job with this story! I felt the pain, the guilt, the love, the passion, the fear, just to have it served back to me again on a silver platter that i couldn’t resist eating off of! CH2 hooked me from the 1st sentence this morning, til i finished it 6 hrs later! Huge congrats to Ashley Jade, what an amazing story of love!
There should really be a way you can give a book 10 stars if it deserves it, and I feel with all my heart that this book is one of them!! The feelings I had while reading this book were all over the place!! From the very beginning my eyes were tearing up and then I would laugh at something one of the characters I have hopelessly fallen in love with would say. I loved the sarcasm and the angst and I even loved the “ugly cry” I couldn’t stop, even if I wanted to!! Each character had something about them I loved- Kit: who reminded me of my best friend that has pulled me back from the ledge more than once. Asher: who holds a special place in my heart. Breslin: who frustrated me to no end, but also made my heart hurt and made me wish she was real so I could give her a big hug. Preston: who was so damaged he couldn’t take care of himself, which made me wish I could hug him too. Landon: who’s love of music made me wish I could hear him play and sing. The way they all loved each other was so beautiful and tragic and breathtaking, it made me wish I had these people in my life. The author poured her heart out in these two books and it really shows!! I, for one, am thankful she was brave enough to tell their story because I feel blessed to have read these two books!!! My only regret is that this is it, because I could read about these characters in many more books!! If you loved CH1 then I PROMISE you that you will love CH2 even more!! So I highly recommend this book and I also recommend you have a box of tissues close by and the sex is hot as hell, so be mindful where you decide to read this, because it could get quite uncomfortable for you when you are squirming in your seat!! Enjoy!! (I sure did!!!)
