Anna had never met an Alpha…until the day her city fell to an Uncorrupted attack.Injured, loaded with pain-suppressants, and exhausted after a night spent fleeing, it was the worst possible time to find herself plastered against a man like Hudson….And the worst possible time to reveal her Omega dynamic. She can’t tear her gaze away from the big, intimidating man, who makes his lack of … makes his lack of interest clear.
Two years later, and Hudson has been allocated as Anna’s Controller.
Neither of them is happy.
But neither of them has a choice.
And being forced to work together, might just break them both.

L.V. Lane definitely stepped up her game when writing Complete Control. Many of the things that I felt were missing in Taking Control were included here. I’m not taking any credit for that as the author had already written 8 books by the time I came to this series!
We had several chapters from Hudson’s POV, allowing us to get a feel of his personality, and we got much more story too. The plot in Taking Control felt rather rushed and hurried, squashed into the last quarter, whereas it flowed throughout the entirety of this book. I felt more invested in these characters due to seeing them interacting in a variety of settings. Plus we got to see Anna at work as a healer, as well as experience more of the war and the role of the controller on more than a sexual level.
Anna seemingly never really spoke to anyone other than Hudson, and briefly to a recruiter, which is something I hope doesn’t become a theme of the books. However a theme I do very much enjoy is that the omegas all seem to have a strong and determined personality, despite how much the alpha’s in charge try to suppress them. They have sass in abundance along with an ability to snare their big, bad Alpha’s hearts.
I’m looking forward to reading the follow up book but need to read Lilly, Ethan and Ryker’s story first.
I read Complete Control and found myself breathless so many times throughout the book! Hudson meets Anna when he rescues her from a group of enemy soldiers who are trying to abduct her. From the moment Hudson walked into the scene, I was totally entranced by him. He was commanding, yes, but also sort of blustery in an OTT way. I got the inkling that what he projected to the world and to Anna also covered up a need to be caring and not wanting to be seen as vulnerable in any way? I was also completely captivated by Anna, a young, sweet girl, who reveals later to be an Omega healer. She is passionate about her calling as a Healer. She is kind and loving, but a little introverted and naïve. Once he sees her safely placed at his headquarters, he can tell she is fascinated by him. But he rebuffs her, knowing how young and inexperienced she is. Two years later, he is assigned to be her Controller. The heat ramps up from there between them. And it never lets up til the end of the book. Hudson does his best to keep Anna under his thumb. He’s still pushy and gruff. Anna, as an Omega, usually does knuckle under to him. But by the end of the book I think you can see she is learning that his bark is often worse than his bite. I can’t wait to read more about Hudson and Anna in Absolute Control. If you’ve read any of the author’s other Control books, you will definitely want to dig into this one too: Complete Control, a 5-star read!
Another Great Story!
This is a fantastic follow up story to book 1. Like book one, this story was fast paced with lots of action and plenty of very steamy moments between the two main characters. Anna and Hudson are well matched. She’s tiny and fierce and he’s big and growly. They feed of each other’s emotions and interactions with others. They are a force to be reckoned with.
Fantastic world building and character development. I can’t wait for more.
Complete Control is the second installment in the Controller series. L. V. Lane enriches the futuristic world that she built in book one, Taking Control. L. V. Lane is a master of dialogue and writing extraordinary Alpha men and their rebellious women. The characters are protective, strong, controlling and hot. The plot is thrilling and full of action and suspense. This is a seriously sexy and stimulating story.
The story Continues as Team Leader, James Hudson, is given Controller duty over a little Omega Healer, Anna. Hudson and Anna have a history together. Though their deployment is eminent and time to reconnect is limited, Hudson and Anna form a bond. When Anna is taken behind enemy lines, Hudson will stop at nothing to get his kitten back.
This has quickly become one of my favorite series’ of 2019.
This book is for mature audiences only, who enjoy Alpha men taking control and demanding obedience from their Omegas and women who love to test their boundaries through discovering the spectacular world of love and sex. This dark, sci-fi omegaverse book is a wonderful experience for first time readers of the genre as well as die-hard fans.
Ok I got a book hangover from this one! If you like Omegaverse then this is a must read!
I LOVE the world building in this one! Both the main characters and the worldbuilding made this almost impossible for me to put down! how each dynamic of A/B/O has something that also comes out after they have presented for the first time. Anna is an Omega Healer. She has wanted to heal others for most of her life, so at first she is ecstatic when she finds out. But then she goes for training and finds out all the things they never tell the average citizen.
The beginning is so great. I love how the MC’s are brought together for the first time. It is pretty HAWT! And when they meet back up 2 years later it gets HAWTTER!
I was so happy to see Hudson get his book. He is the epitome of an alpha. His dynamic with Anna was fantastic. She might be a sweet healer omega but she is no push over.
Alphas!
They expect and want nothing but complete control!
They will have it one way or another, the choice was never yours to make.
Anna was a normal 18 year old girl. One night she was forced to grow up and everything changed. Anna revealed as an Omega with healing powers. She couldn’t be more happier that her dream was coming true. The downside to revealing as an Omega was that you were assigned a controller. She felt once that happened, your life was no longer your own and you had to submit to it.
Hudson was a solider that did his job well. During his recent job, he came across and rescued a small little kitten. From that day forward, he didn’t know the changes that were soon to follow. He wasn’t use to his Omegas disobeying orders but so help him, he was damn good at delivering their punishments. 2 years ago he denied her, 2 years later…she is HIS!
I’m so in love with The Controllers series. It’s like each one keeps getting better than the last! I have so many book boyfriends that I’m beginning to think I have a problem! This series will do that to you. I love learning all the new things when it comes to the world of Alphas and Omegas.
Do yourself a favor and start this amazing series!
