This fantastic and well written book. An intense storyline that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and hot chemistry. Lots of excitement. A thrilling must read.
I enjoyed this story. It’s a second chance and a jilted groom all in one. Clem and Boone’s story is really good with fantastic drama and swoon worthy moments. A very intriguing read and a great start to the new “Whiskey River Road” stories.

But there are obstacles to their reunion…many obstacles and it will take the whole family to pull together to keep what is theirs and for the two to have a second chance.
Once again I am amazed with this author who delivers another read that had me glued to the pages. I laughed many times and I rolled with laughter at the different nick names thrown around for certain body parts. Not only that but the steam, once again doesn’t disappoint and the suspense kept me flipping on how it was all going to end. This author also has a way of bringing in heartfelt moments into the read which had me misty eyed and sniffling. I only had one question and that would have been with the three guards I didn’t get closure on and even with that I couldn’t give it less than 5 stars. The story flowed beautifully and the banter was spot on as were the characters, especially her dad who was all grumpy and mean but had a soft underbelly, even for Clem.
He’s moved on.
After leaving him at the alter, she’s back, seven years later.
Surprise.
He’s moved on and is engaged.
An intriguing premise.

Well this is some kind of wild sexy crazy book and I loved every page. The love between Clem and Boone would not die even after seven years being apart. There is so much more in this book that I could not put it down. Absolutely loved it!

I need to point out that I come from a horse training background and I’ve been avid junkie with horse racing in all forms ( my dad’s side we’re all horse trainers) but I need to mention that there is information about the triple crown in this story to be wrong, sorry to be a slicker about it but I need to say this since I’ve read the schedule part on Whiskey River the time length between Kentucky and the Preakness is 2 weeks apart but the Belmont is 3 weeks not two. Again sorry but that’s been eating at me to mention this…
***only thoroughbred’s are raced in the triple crown races not Arabians.***
This would have been a 5 star read but the wrong information cut down my rating
On to my review….
HFN kind of ending, since it leads into the next story and how the dying man will take something of the Calhoun’s treasure.
Clem ‘Clementine’ was a 20 year old runaway bride, she left Boone at the alter and ran to see the world and she did in the military. Now 7 years later Clem came back home to be with her family and her love of horses, but she didn’t get a warm welcome out of her father, oldest brother or Boone. She left as a scared girl came back a strong woman but these men stabbed her in the heart with their hatred and to be looked at as hired help on their ranch hurt her pride.
Boone will be put between a rock and a hard place when he learns about what Tom, his future father in law wants and blackmails him into doing to keep the Calhoun’s from gaining. Tom has him by the balls with threats g the life of not just the Calhoun’s but their youngest, Clem, the only woman who he hates to but be in love with no matter her running away. This story also happens to be center around a horse Whisky Rivers…..
