**Audiobook review**
This audiobook was a pleasant surprise. First time for me listening to a book by this author and I was completely and utterly hooked by the first chapter. I love love love Clementine and her wit and charm. She is hilarious and so is her bestie. But if sweet Boone. That’s a mans man and I wanted so much more of him. How he managed to keep pushing Clem away when she tried to win him back is beyond me. This audio was downright hilarious as it was sweet and I enjoyed it so much. Sera Sharr did a good job with the narration but a little over the top at times for me but she was impressive to say the least. I want more of this author for sure.
I loved the start of this series. Clem and Boone have a past and it takes time for them to come back around to each other…but the journey there is a great one. I’m excited to read more!
I cant tell you how much I enjoyed this story. Clementine, 21, left Boone at the altar. He was devastated. Clem felt trapped, by being on the ranch all her life. she felt she was too young to get married and wanted to experience life. Returning home after 7 years, she didn’t realize how her leaving effected her family. How her feelings for Boone resurfaced, even though he is engaged. This story has a lot of mystery, lies, revenge and a OMG moment at the end.
Serra Sharr us a new narrator for me! She is an excellent storyteller. She brought a lot of fun and sass to this story, giving each character their own voice and personality. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.
Coming Home is the first book in the Whiskey River Road Series. This is a great second chance to love. I love the characters! Boone and Clem are great together. Boone is handsome! Clem is beautiful and strong. The supporting characters are great and intriguing. The Calhoun family is wonderful. The storyline is emotional, fun, and has a little intrigue, mystery and action. Sera Sharr is a new narrator to me. She did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Stolen Hearts.

This story was filled with passion, suspense and is quite intriguing.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good dialogues
The characters are developed in to realistic personalities
What I especially liked about this story is the family holding together when things get rough.
Narrator:
I’m surprised at how much I liked this. A good voice that mostly manages to read in a way that gave each character their own voice. Not perfectly but good.
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings

Coming Home (Whiskey River Road, #1) was another great read by Kelly Moore. Clem wasn’t ready to marry Boone all those years ago. She always loved Boone but knew that something was stopping her from walking down the aisle. Clem felt like she needed to do something away from the family ranch. Seven years after leaving the ranch, she comes home and isn’t prepared for what she finds back home. I really enjoyed Cleam and Boone’s story and can’t wait to read more in this series. Sera Sharr did a great job of narrating the characters.
This book was gripping, well written & the chemistry between the characters sizzled throughout this wonderful read.
Well done Kelly. I look forward to more!
Coming Home
Whiskey River Road, Book 1
By: Kelly Moore
Narrated by: Sera Sharr
Kelly Moore captures me every single time I listen to one of her books, but there is something extra special about this one. I am not sure what attracted me so much to it. It could be the second chance romance between Clem and Boone. It could be the incredibly strong woman Clem is, or the handsome, reluctant Boone. It could be the family dynamics of siblings and parents, hurt and love, anger and trust. It could be the crazy fiance, the evil villain or even the ranch itself. But what I think it is, is the magic all these things combined created. A real story, one that is easy to relate to. One where a woman decides what she wants to do with her life, no matter the consequences. It’s the family that pulls together in times of crisis and the real love of a couple that stands the test of time. Moore has crafted a beautifully told story with all the emotions and feels. It will make you angry and frustrated, sad and crying, but most of all it will make you love and smile. I am looking forward to what is coming next with this family!
Sera Sharr is a new to me narrator and I think Kelly Moore has found a gem. She made this story come to life, like a movie in my mind. Her voices are spot on, easy to distinguish and fit each character. And that Texas twang just fit the bill. I loved her performance and can’t wait for more.

When Clem runs away from home and leaves Boone jilted at the alter her family moves on without her. When Clem finally decides it is time to come home she finds that Boone is still working for her family and has moved on with his life. But when a family dispute comes to light and danger and suspense are around every corner can the two find their way to getting a second chance at a HEA? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that leaves the reader on the edge of their seats this was a great beginning to a new series. The reader can feel and instant connection to the romance and they will not be able to put the book down.
Wow! I loved it! This is a seriously wonderful story. I went through a gambit of emotions. Happy, sad then furious, and finally WHAT. Just. Happened. I loved that this was a ranching/horse training farm. It has all the happy times as well as the rough times that go along with such a venture. I liked the whole cabin idea on the property. I get now why it’s on the cover.
The characters are done in such a way that they will be in your heart for a long time. I could really feel the love and devotion from this family. Well not at first….but underneath all the blustering it was there. The connection between the two main characters is believable. The way this went sometimes I wasn’t really sure what would happen at the end.
I did listen to this on audio. Sera Sharr was the narrator. She did an excellent job voicing these characters and then adding in the emotion.
I look forward to the next!

She comes home to a bad greeting she left him at the alter and he is still mad at her. She is trying to reconnect with her family she meets her niece that she didn’t know about her father hates her for leaving the way she did. the man of her dreams is still mad. but he has moved on or has he. I get why Clem fled it was all too much too soon and she needed to breath, but she really did leave it too long to come home and left in the wrong way, but she is here now and has to face her past. Boone has every darn right to not want anything to do with Clem with how she left but as much as he hates her and tries to push her away he also wants to help her. There is such a strong pull between Boone and Clem and you are rooting for them because there is still a spark between them that burns bright, but I also get they have changed a lot just like their friends and family. Be warned there will be times you want to smack their heads together and yell at them to talk to each other as well as feel like they are finally sorting things then they start to implode again, then it starts again so its definitely an emotional roller-coaster road! Ohhh and we can’t forget Ethan Clems bestie who is super sweet and such a good guy so I loved getting to know him and when he first met Clems Dad was hilarious, slowly but surely he settles into the place and I hope we get to see more of him in the next book!!!
This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Kelly Moore; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Wow! I was not expecting this epic family story to unravel!
Clem arrives home for the first time since she did a runner on her wedding day. Knowing it will take a lot for her family and her ex-fiancé to forgive her, she is determined to start a life back on the the family ranch. She was expecting her family to be hostile after disappearing like that but what she didn’t expect was for her first love to be be engaged. Her coming home sets of a string of dangerous event with old vendettas at play. Can the family survive the storm that is coming for them?
Such a great story. I could not put this down from the first page.
I voluntarily read this book for an honest review.
This was a book that totally grabbed me from the very beginning! The storyline was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each and every page I felt like Clem and Boone yanked me right into their story as it effortlessly unfolded!
