The town bad boy with hidden pain… his time on the rodeo circuit, sending home his winnings to help the ranch succeed, and his nights with buckle bunnies, making sure no one gets close enough to touch the pain deep inside.
The town good girl who saw the good in everyone…
When accountant and small business advisor Hailey Spencer is hired by Redemption Ranch to implement their dude ranch ideas, she and Chase are thrown together. It’s not long before he is introduced to the son that she had with his best friend. The best friend who would’ve followed Chase anywhere…even the bull riding circuit with its deadly potential. With Hailey hanging on to resentment and Chase racked with guilt, the two try to fight their age-old attraction – in vain. Chase knows Hailey deserves more than a broken-down cowboy for her son and her heart.
Can Chase resist the call of the rodeo and man up for a woman he’s loved for years or will he leave for the allure of the road?

A really emotional cowboy romance.
Chase woke up in the hospital from a nasty bull riding accident wondering how long it was going to take him to recover so he could get back on the circuit. But his family was trying everything in their power to convince him he didn’t need to go back. They just wanted him home… and safe. What he wasn’t counting on was his soon to be sister-in-law to hire the one woman who made him want to settle down. Hailey just wanted a job that put her skills to use so she could support her young son. If that meant dealing with her late husbands best friend… well then she would do it. After all, they had been friends as kids too.
I absolutely adored this book! It was so well written that it felt like I was part of the story. But I am honest enough to admit that it made me reach for more than one tissue.
This is the second book in the Redemption Ranch series and it can be read as a standalone but each couple plays a large part in every story.

I love wounded damaged heroes – probably because they seem to deserve a happy ending the most and make him a cowboy and phew…Chase is a really good example. He’s a good guy and you just know love will let him see he’s such a kind, sweet, good guy who deserves all the good things. Chase was bounced around foster families his whole life until he ended up at the Rawlings Ranch as a teenager with his foster brothers Ty and West. Chase is a bull rider on the rodeo circuit who sends his winnings home to support the ranch. He gets badly hurt on a ride and is home temporarily to heal. Hailey grew up with Chase and married his best friend Adam who died during a bull riding competition. She’s a single mom and has no desire to get involved with Chase. Chase and Hailey’s journey to their inevitable HEA is a bit of a roller coaster ride but what a beautiful journey it is. This book has a little bit of everything – sweet moments, fan your face steam, real life issues, imperfect characters, tearful moments, and heart squeezing love – expect to laugh, to swoon, and to cry. While I love reading romances for the HEA, when real life issues are included – like death, single parenthood, foster families, and the scars those experiences leave – it makes for more three dimensional characters and more well rounded storylines. This story was a masterpiece of all the things. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Young bullrider gets injured and while recouperating falls in love with friend’s widow. A good clean story.
Good cowboy story about love and friendship especially when you feel you don’t deserve to be loved or be happy
Just to predictable even though cute story.
Loved this story.
Loved it.
great book loved it
A fun read with realistic characters and problems and a DELIGHTFUL little boy so beautifully portrayed.
A rodeo cowboy, Chase is a champion bull-rider with trust issues. He grew up with his foster dad on Redemption Ranch, but has never let anyone get too close. Now he’s been put together with accountant, Hailey to see if they can make the ranch into a guest resort. Liked the twists and the ending.
You know when the story has elements like a hero who grew up in foster care and a heroine whose husband died tragically that it’s going to be an emotional rollercoaster. But in this case, the emotions are ramped up by the fact the that heroine’s dead husband was the hero’s best friend, making it even tougher for them to grapple with their growing feelings for each other. This is is definitely a rollercoaster worth riding. All the feels on the way to a satisfying HEA.
This is the second book in a series by Megan Ryder. This is a story about a ranch family and each individual story has been totally enjoyable. Can’t wait to see how a cowboy song shapes up. This is a series you want to read
Nothing like a six-year old boy to bring life and action to a ranch. I loved the little guy. This is a great read anytime, especially when staying home with this Covid-19 virus outbreak. The story is exciting and eventful. It is an adult read with rodeo riders, bronco accidents and changed lives. The brothers had a ranch to run, women to love and hearts to break. Then, it caught up with them as they fall in love, nearly give up their man-card, and, make decisions that bring new life to the ranch. I loved it and will download the next book so I can see if all the brothers end up happy. I can already hear the guitar playing.
This is the 2nd book in the Redemption Ranch series. This can be read as a stand alone.
This is Chase (bull rider) and Hailey (single mum, looking after her sick mother) Chase returns to the ranch to recuperate after being injured in the bull ring. Hailey takes a job with Tara at the ranch. Chase and Haileys deceased husband Adam were best friends. Can Hailey come to terms with her feelings for Chase and overcome her fears?

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with Chase and Hailey their story was emotional. Chase grew up in foster then sent sent out to a ranch, he started bull riding then he hurt himself, so going home to the ranch to recoup then it was like a yo-yo of emotions between Chase want Hailey.
Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

Coming Home to the Cowboy is the second book in Megan Ryder’s Redemption Ranch series. While second in the series, Coming Home to the Cowboy can be read as a standalone.
Chase heads home after suffering an injury while on the road. Hailey has taken a job at Redemption Ranch and is living there with her young son, AJ.
Coming Home to the Cowboy is a very good contemporary cowboy romance with enough emotion to keep you invested in Chase, Hailey, and AJ.
We only see what others allow us to see. The philosophy of humanity seems to be less vulnerability more masquerade. With Chase, Ryder lifts off the blinders and exposes the emotional cavity to some healing light. Coming Home to the Cowboy is the journey Hailey and Chase. From long time friends, to secret lovers and second chance romance. Along the way each learns about life, love, loss and redemption, while hopelessly falling in love. These characters dig deep into a heart and take up residence within your soul.
Chase Summers was raised at Redemption Ranch by his foster father, and as an adult he spends his time on the rodeo circuit, sending home his winnings to help the ranch succeed.
But when he is severely injured in a rodeo, he needs to spend time at home to recover. What he didn’t expect was that he would have to share the house with Hailey Spencer, his childhood best friend and his best friend’s widow.
As the two try to fight their old attraction to each other, Chase will have to decide whether to continue his life at the rodeo, or whether he can be the man Hailey and little A.J. need.
I loved the story and the characters. I highly recommend the reading.
