Bailey is back. Maverick thought he was over her. But neither can deny the feelings that will always be there.Bailey has made mistakes, so many she doesn’t think she’ll really ever forgive herself. But her daughter deserves the kind of life Bailey had growing up. When she shows up on her parents’ doorstep back to her hometown, the one person she isn’t ready to see is Maverick. But will she ever … But will she ever be able to face him?
The minute Maverick hears Bailey is back, he knows his heart still belongs to her. But what kind of man trusts a woman who left him at the altar? As he grapples with a new daughter that he can’t help but wish was his, all the responsibilities of running his family’s ranch, and the hurt he feels about Bailey’s betrayal, he finds new love and hope not only with her but with God.
As soon as God is a part of the equation, the sweetness they find is better than they ever had. Just maybe this second chance around is God’s gift of happiness to them both.

I loved reading this one! The little bit of escape it gave me to a small Texas town was one of my favorite things about it. And that small Texas town was one of the hardest things for main character, Bailey.
Bailey knows she’s made some huge mistakes. And the first one was standing Maverick up at the church on their wedding day. It seemed as though Bailey felt as though all eyes were on her when she came home. And maybe they were. It’s always hard for people to allow others to change. But this book helps show that change really is possible, as well as forgiveness. I loved how Bailey learned that lesson.
But Bailey wasn’t the only one that needed a lesson. Maverick also needed to learn about forgiveness. But he had a great teacher, in his mama. I loved her character in this book. In fact, Maverick’s whole family was great! I hope we get to see them again later!
And Bailey’s daughter, Gracie, steals the show in so many scenes of this book. How can you not love that little girl?
I’m really hoping for more books just like this one. It’s a great mix of romance and allowing God to work in your life.
I was sent an e-copy of Coming Home to Maverick as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.
Bailey dreams of fulfilling her wish to be a singer. On her wedding day to Maverick, she must decide whether to marry or forgo her dreams. Bailey leaves Maverick at the altar and pursue her dreams as a singer. Years later Bailey returns to her family home with her young daughter, Gracie Faith.
After all these years there is still a strong attraction between Bailey and Maverick. The reader roots for this couple and Gracie as they overcome obstacles to decide on their future. I hope there are more stories to follow these characters, their friends, and family.
This is a story of love, forgiveness, and values. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story during a time of struggles. Thank you to the author and publisher for my advanced review copy. The opinions and thoughts of this review are my own.
A sweet, inspirational read from Sophia Summers! This is a must-read for anyone who likes stories with elements of faith, lost love, and cowboys. The best part of this story is the various relationships, whether those be familial, romantic, or friendship. Summers has a knack for weaving all of those relationships together so that the reader feels they know each character intimately.
There are some parts of the story that feel a bit glossed-over, but Summers incorporates other elements that add new dimensions to the story and keep the reader engaged.
I’m very excited for more books about the Dawson brothers! This is a great first book in what is sure to be a winner of a series. 3.5/5 stars
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I love a good cowboy story! Maverick and Bailey were childhood sweethearts until she skips town without a word of explanation. Five years later, she returns home but they have both grown and changed and can’t just go back to the way they were before.
This was a sweet romance of two people who have to learn to trust, forgive, and make sacrifices in order to be together. I will admit that Maverick was a lot more forgiving than I would have been in the situation! I enjoyed the Christian references to prayer, forgiveness, God’s love, etc. They added to the story but were not overly done or preachy in any way.
This was a quick, easy read but oh, so enjoyable! I am really hoping we get more books in the series about Maverick’s brothers!
I received a complimentary copy but my opinions are my own.
This is a sweet western romance. A clean and wholesome story about second chance love. All of the characters thought out and I fell in love with Gracie Faith. I was a little surprised that Maverick would let Bailey back into his life so readily. Everyone makes mistakes in their life, but not everyone is as easily forgiven. It was fun reading about the rodeo circuit and state fair events, I haven’t been to any for a long time. This was a fun quick read that kept me entertained to the very end. I hope there are more book to come about the family.
WOW Coming Home to Maverick has got to be one of the best books that I have ever read. When a book makes me that mad at one point and then so happy in another you know it is good. This is my first book by this author and I can tell you it will not be my last. She hit this one out of the park. Absolutely fantastic. The characters were so darn loveable, well that is except one. I won’t mention the persons name. I would love to read this book again. I wanted to find out what happens next but didn’t want the book to end. I could not put this book down. I am looking forward to reading more books from Sophia Summers.

Coming Home to Maverick is an absolutely amazing book, so many emotions. Such a fantastic story and wonderful characters. I did not want to put this book down. Hands down one of the best books I’ve read. Sophia Summers is a very talented author and I highly recommend this book.

What happened with Tif?
I want to be upfront and say that I did NOT receive this book for free from the author for an honest review. I bought it because I love this author’s writing style and subject matter. I read the second book in this series first and gave me an appetite for the other books in this series. I’m glad I read this one and found that it is not necessary to read them in order. I do, however, intend to read the other ones.
When Bailey reached rock bottom living in her car with her five year old daughter, she finally returned home (just like the prodigal son). As usual per Sophia Summers’ style, this book is very well written. I love the easy Christian theme of redemption and second chances that is not preachy but flows naturally throughout the book. The characters each had their own unique well developed personalities. I loved Maverick’s goodness and willingness to forgive Bailey as difficult as it might have been for him. He realized he was still in love with her and he didn’t have it in him to hate her for leaving him at the alter. They did talk their way through what had happened and why she left. At this realization, Maverick decided that he was just as much at fault since he was only thinking of his own dream to run the rodeo circuit and not what Bailey had dreamed about for her own life. Little Gracie is the star of the show. She is a wonder who makes the possible tension in the families melt away. Everyone easily fell in love with her and wanted to make her happy.
Throughout the book I was wondering if the unanswered loose end of Tif would ever be addressed. Yes, it was. Yay! I’m glad that the ending tied up some other loose ends and we get to see Bailey and Maverick’s lives a few years down the road. I’m looking forward to reading about Decker and Faith next.
This is a touching story about redemption and reconnecting with loved ones. Bailey returns home after going for her dreams as a singer. Bailey has made mistakes and leaving Maverick at the altar was a big one. Maverick has put his life on hold especially after the death of his father and running the ranch. When he and Bailey meets again, will it lead them to rekindling what they once had and will the second the around bring forth a happily ever after?
This was a sweet story filled with themes of redemption and re-connection. The setting is in small town Texas and the Ms. Summers makes you feel like you are right there in the ranch with Maverick and his family. The characters were relatable and although certain things from the story seemed to move a bit fast and felt unresolved at times it kept you wanting to read to find out how it was all going to end.
Maverick is the eldest son. His father has passed on and although he feels like he is half the man his father was, he is the one that is now the head of household and in charge of all the ranch affairs. He was left at the altar by Bailey, the love of his life and feels that betrayal deeply.
Bailey comes back to town after leaving Maverick at the altar but when she returns she is not the same girl that left. Now she has returned with a daughter, to give her a better life. She knows she has made some huge mistakes but she wanted to pursue her dreams and being young and naive she fell for a bogus deal and left town.
I did love the characters but at times I felt like I understood why Bailey left. Now mind you I do not agree with how she went about it but she was young and naive. She had not realized any of the dreams she had for herself. She should of definitely talked to Maverick about it instead of leaving him behind because I think he would of understood. Instead she fell deep into a toxic relationship where she was not only trying to realize her dream but trying to please Daniel her “agent”. (insert eye roll) You will understand the eye roll when you read the story. He is something else.
I also feel like the rekindling of their relationship moved a bit too quick, making Maverick seem a bit immature when disagreements arise between him and Bailey and him and his family. He wants her to change but is not truly trusting that she will. He wants help with the ranch but doesn’t give his brothers a chance. However things do turn out for the best.
I must say I am a sucker of children in stories and Gracie steals your heart in this one!! The relationship between her and Maverick is sweet. This is an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to reading the next installment and find out what happens to the next brother in the family!

I really enjoyed reading this christian cowboy story! I finished it in one day because I enjoyed the characters and story line.
I loved Maverick’s strong and caring character and his interactions at the ranch and with his family. His brother’s and ranch rodeo life were really fun to read about.
I also enjoyed Bailey’s character but I often felt annoyed with her because of her poor choices due to pride, insecurity and immaturity. I grew to like her more by the end of the story but I definitely felt Maverick could have done better with a more mature woman.
Clean christian fiction but lots of steamy kiss scenes and implied sexual relations.
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed reading this book! He was stood up at the alter 5 years ago and now she is back in town with a 5-year-old daughter! How is he going to be around her since he still loves her? I recommend this to anyone who loves reading western books!
This is a feel-good second chance romance set in small-town Texas. There are strong themes of homecoming and forgiveness as Bailey reconnects with the family and friends she left behind with no word or explanation. While it’s understandable that she had wanted to chase her dreams of being a singer, I didn’t get why she ghosted people she had such good and strong relationships with. She does an awful good job of self-flagellation for her bad choices now that she’s back home, and her parents and Maverick are both encouraging of her turning things over to God for healing. The characters seem almost too good to be true, and the slower pace of the story matches the setting, making it a relaxing read.
(I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions in this review are my own)
Bailey carried a lot of remorse and regret around in this book. It was interesting to read how exactly everything came about to send her running for Nashville six years earlier. She was definitely a very immature character when she left, leaving so many people that she loved and who loved her.
Maverick was such a forgiving man. The way he was able to forgive was impressive, although he did have some setbacks, here and there. He, his family, and Bailey’s family provided a loving example of forgiveness for Bailey and welcoming arms for her and her daughter. It was easy to feel the connection and chemistry between these two main characters and it was great to see their love for each other rekindle.
I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to more stories in this series.

Who knew that your first love might be your forever love? Forgiveness, lost love, love found again, redemption, and more are central themes in this fun novel.
I love how the best theme is that with God things get better. Renewing our love with Him will bring new love into our lives. Maverick has a lot to be hurt about when it comes to Bailey. The child that could have been his and his marriage for starters. Bailey left him at the altar and he can’t help but think of all the time that has been lost.
I loved the characters in this novel and how they struggled with real feelings. The characters draw you in and you feel like they’re real. Not just real in their story but real in life. I mean really you’re just looking around to see Maverick one day. I’ve grown up and still live in a rural area with lots of small towns so I know all too well what Bailey is dealing with coming home with her mistakes on display.
This is a book I recommend. Definitely grab a copy today and give it a read.

Coming Home To Maverick was a beautiful story filled with love, sacrifice, heart breaks, forgiveness and reconciliation. I love how the characters were quick to forgive, let go and help. They beautifully illustrated that those who have been forgiven much should forgive too. The characters were relatable. Little Miss Graceie was my favorite character; she brought so much joy to the story.
The setting of the story was so appealing.
I recommend this to anyone who loves a good love story.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Coming Home to Maverick, Sophia Summers’ first book in her new Cowboy Inspired Romance series, was a great story! I enjoyed Bailey’s transformation and realization of the importance of family, forgiveness, and second chances. I liked Maverick’s humble and strong personality, but also his understandably insecure feelings. Their second chance love story was sweet and clean, and their happily ever after was perfect. I recommend it!
I received a complimentary copy of the book. All opinions are my own and are expressed voluntarily.
Coming Home to Maverick is a second chance romance which, in ways, parallel’s the story of the prodigal son (or in this case, daughter).
Bailey and Maverick have a lot unresolved between them but that doesn’t diminish the connection that still lies between them after six years apart. Add in the Dawson brothers and their Mama, the rodeo events, a struggling ranch, and a precocious little girl who loves well, and Sophia Summers gives readers a sweet story of love, forgiveness, and discovering what’s important in life.
With Maverick’s three brothers unattached, I’m already looking forward to spending more time with this close-knit family of gentlemen cowboys and catching up with everyone in future books.

If you love a contemporary cowboy romance with a decent dose of Christian content thrown in… Coming Home to Maverick is one worth checking out.
Now, I must admit I was a bit torn on this one at first. In the story, we meet Bailey as she is returning home with her daughter Gracie, after having left her ex-fiance Maverick at the altar six years earlier to pursue her dreams of singing. I loved the concept of this story and it did offer a great Christian message of forgiveness. However, I did find the forgiveness came exceptionally quickly in this story. I feel like it could have been a much more dynamic story had it been dug into more deeply. That could have easily made it a 4.5-5 star book for me. As it was, it still made it to a solid 3.5 stars. While I would have enjoyed getting more into that, there was something about these characters and their chemistry that I couldn’t get enough of. Was it too easy? Maybe, but then is there anything wrong with that as an escape? I don’t think so. The book had such a feeling of home and family to it, that I couldn’t help but enjoy it. It was cozy, sweet and a delightful quick read.
I also enjoyed getting to know the rest of the family. The Dawson family is delightful, and I would love to see more from them in future books.
**I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.
