Brian Laster swore he’d never return to his home town of Haven, Montana. After all, he’d been a total dick to everyone there before he’d left, including his mother. However, in the past ten years, things had changed. He had changed. Coming home wasn’t something he’d wanted to do, but this time it wasn’t his choice. It was his job.Mia’s latest assignment brought her to the small town and directly … town and directly into Brian’s bed. Not that she had any complaints of working with the dark, tall, and very sexy man, but as with everything else in her life, she knew it would only end in trouble.

I loved it from beginning to end!!
I didn’t finish this book. It was a little far fetched.
I like that the main characters really understood each other and were able to overcome their pasts to find the HEA
Emotionally thrilling, sexy, fun and action packed adventure filled with engaging charters, witty banter, heart racing twist and undeniable passion…. a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this exciting journey.
It was well written and had a good theme to it. Fast reader and enjoyable.
I did not read the previous 3 books, which left me at a disadvantage, as I didn’t even know what McGowen Enterprises was, without looking up blurbs of the previous books.
Brian Laster father tried to kill him when he was only 11 years old, after learning that the boy was not his biological son, even though he had been pretty abusive long before that. It was Gavin Laster that ended up hanging from the bridge that day, and although he never told a soul what happened, his reaction was to become a bully. Later he learned that he was actually the son of Carl McGowen, who was not a great role model either, but that made him cousins to Trent, Tyler and Trey, owners of McGowan Enterprises.
He left Haven to move to Helena, never planning to ever return, but turning his life around, went through the Montana Law Enforcement Academy and has been working for DEA. His partner has been bad ass, but beautiful Mia Dillon. Her father was killed the day after she was born at which time her mother emotionally shut down. Quite a pair, aren’t they? Their current assignment sends them to Haven where they are to find the supplier of deadly drugs and their cover is to be lovers. They trusted each other with their lives as partners, but being in his home posing as sweethearts, has changed the dynamics of their relationship. Can they trust each other with their hearts?
The characters are well developed and the story is an action packed page turner. The only con is not enough backstory was provided from the previous books for those who are reading it not only as a stand alone, bit also for those who read the previous books, but spaced so far apart that they don’t remember a lot of the details. I read a free ARC from NetGalley.com and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Another great read in this series that has just enough suspense and drama to keep you engaged until you turn that last page
Ten years ago Brian Laster left Haven Montana and the town was glad to see him go after all he had been a prick to just about everyone Now he has returned as a DEA agent trying to stop the drug trafficking that is passing through the town and he isn’t alone. Mia Dillon is his partner in this current case and he would like her to be more. As the passion flares between them will they crack the case and keep Haven safe. Will they have a future together you will have to
Coming Home is the 4th book in Jill Sanders’ Haven, Montana series. It focuses on Brian, who we have met in previous Haven books. In the prior books, he was gruff, rude, standoff-ish, so Jill had a lot of work to do to have him redeem himself and transform him into a leading man. And she definitely succeeded.
There is a big time gap between this book and the others in the series, so Brian has really had a chance to grow and mature. When he returns to Haven, it’s not necessarily to reunite with his town and family, but it’s work related. He returns with Mia, his DEA partner.
Mia is a strong female lead. She’s determined, independent and totally amazing. But she has been unlucky in personal relationships, and she’s not sure that a relationship with Brian can really bloom and last.
It was great to get back to Haven, MT, and to see it from the eyes of “outsiders” – even though Brian grew up there, he really was an outsider when he returned. Seeing everyone else from the series, years later, was like a homecoming for the reader as well as a homecoming for Brian. Well written, with characters that you instantly connect with. A very satisfying addition to the series and Jill Sanders’ collection.
We are back in Haven, MT in this 4th book of the series. Though a stand alone, reading the previous stories of the series will definitely enrich the enjoyment of this book.
This time the story belongs to Brian Laster and Mia Dillon.
Brian was the bad boy of the town who left Haven ten years ago without looking back. Mia had a tough upbringing and has trust issues.
Nowadays both are DEA agents and undercover as a couple in this new assignment. They are in Haven, MT to find out who is supplying the drug that has been killing people in the surrounding towns.
But this return brings Brian back to his family and his past and at the same time makes Mia fall in love with the town and his family.
But these two need to overcome many hurdles. Not only in solving the drug issue, but also in dealing with their past, their attraction, and trust issues. Will they find their HEA or will it all end up each going their own way?
Another well written story by this author.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Loved returning to the wonderful town of Haven, Montana and its wonderful citizens! Brian and Mia’s story was suspenseful, action packed, hot and steamy, romantic, and kept you turning the pages. Loved that Brian turned his life around and became a swoon worthy hero! Fantastic story and series!
Wow! I loved Brian even more than I had hoped. When we met Brian in the previous books, he was not in a good place so when Jill put out a release date I wondered if he can redeem himself. Let me tell you, he can – he did. This was a great time jump from the end of the last book (you can read this as a stand-alone, but if you want to really know the other characters I suggest going back and reading the others!). In the 10 years that he’s been gone, Brian has grown up and completely changed his life around. But could coming home ruin all he’s worked for? And what about his partner? Is there a chance for more or is this just another assignment?
Mia was awesome. A total take-charge, don’t give me attitude chick. She knew where she came from and how to rock at her job. But life has shown her that nothing good lasts forever. Could something real with Brian ever stand a chance? What about life in this small town… she falls for it and the people (Brian’s family), but happily-ever-afters aren’t real in her world. This was a fabulous addition to the Haven, Montana series and I absolutely loved seeing everyone again. Getting to experience Haven through Brian’s (and Mia’s) eyes was a different take on the town that rounded out the series. Go back and read them all if you haven’t – you won’t regret it!
Another great read from Jill Sanders. Brian and Mia are undercover DEA. They have to pretend to be a couple to find the suppliers of the drug ring in the small town of Haven. The story has it all. Suspense, humor, angst, and hot romance. Jill’s writing always grabs me right away and I can never put them down. All her series are totally worth the read and the Haven, Montana series is no different. I highly recommend this story.
Jill Sanders brings us a murder mystery romance with all of the who dunnits by multiple players, family to get reacquainted with, doubts, angst and love to be found. Loved it!!
