This is the second book in the Chandler Inn Series. I recommend that you read the books in order to get the maximum satisfaction.
Book 2 in the series takes us back to Oregon and the Chandler Inn and winery. Lettie has died and left the land and the inn to her granddaughter Cami. Even though Cami is young, she has a love of the land that is similar to her grandmothers. Cami faces great challenges to learn to run the Inn and the winery but she is resilient and caring like her grandmother and is able to handle all the road blocks with her ‘family’ who works there and her memories of here grandmother. She is also helped by her grandfather and Drew. Even though there is an attraction between Cami and Drew, she doesn’t want to get involved with anyone after the way her French boyfriend hurt her. As Cami tries to make changes at the Inn and move forward by becoming a wedding venue, she has roadblocks at ever turn – from the hotel manager who is taking kickbacks to her French boyfriend who tries to get back into her life. With the help of the employees and Rafe and Drew, she is able to make the Inn and winery a success. Will she find love or will the land be enough to satisfy her?
I am looking forward to book 3 in the series to find out how the Chandler family continues to change in the upcoming years.
Coming Home is another epic romance from Judith Keim. Ms. Keim’s characters are so realistic! Cami comes home to Chandler Inn upon the death of her beloved grandmother. She faces heartache, betrayal, treachery and more. Cami is a strong woman who loves the land like Lettie did. With the help of her grandfather Rafe and employee Drew, will Cami be able to save the Inn? Will she find true love? The answers are waiting for you in this thoroughly engaging saga. I loved it!
Lettie had spent her entire life in foster homes, and now at age 18, she has left and ends up in San Francisco, hungry and with no money. Kenton, a young man a few years older offers her a sandwich and the possibiity of a job. He is headed to Oregon where his Dad owns the Chandler Inn and a vineyard. Because Kenton feels trustworthy Lettie agrees to go with him. Upon arrival she immediatly falls in love with the land and the people there and fits right in as she begins working at the Inn. She is also is eager to earn more about the grapes and making wine.
This book grabbed my interest from the beginning and soon had my heart as well. This heartfelt, compelling story is of family – not only those related by blood but by love for one another. It is a story of survival as real life happens. The Chandler Inn and those associateed with it become Lettie’s lifeline and the amily she;s never had. Her life is changed forever because of the kindess of someone giving her a sandwich This beautifully written story is intriging as it follows Lettie throughout her life.
If you like to read about strong women, who can succeed without much beginner knowledge but can grow into experts, you will like this book.
Written in an historical time line of a vineyard’s early life and the chance meeting of two people, Keim shares important events that change the course (and yet stays) of the farm. Hold on to your seats because life is a bumpy ride.
I’m drawn to charming small towns (esp. when they include wineries in the Willamette Valley!), the intrigues of sisterhood, and families finding ways to cope when their lives are unexpectedly turned upside down. This book checked all the boxes for me—I’m only sad it appears to be the last in the Chandler Hill three-part series. Judith Keim has an amazing talent for crafting books filled with characters you come to view as kin, and I look forward to what she’s planning next. Highly recommended!
Coming Home book two in Judith Keim’s Chandler Hill Inn series is so good. This is a wonderful and heartwarming series. Read it, you’ll love it!
Love the series!
Cami Chandler returns home to her grandmother and grandfather’s after her beloved grandmother, Lettie, passes away. Unbeknownst to Lettie, and grandfather, Rafe, the money that was originally being invested to use for handling the bills of the inn, Cami wonders how she is going to manage the inn and work on updating it at the same time without those funds. Bernard, Cami’s former boyfriend, makes an unwelcomed visit and makes life miserable but karma is sweet. Vanessa was hired to help but, after moving on to a different winery, makes Cami’s life heck also . Drew, Cami’s best friend growing up, helps maintain the vines and winery for grandpa, Rafe. They choose to be friends since that is all they have time for but as they spend more time together, is friends enough? I loved this book. Even though I had not read the first book, it was so well written that I could get what was happening and a feel for the series.
This was a sweet sequel to a picturesque inn and winery in Oregon with great characters! Such a quick and enjoyable read.
I loved this book, although it is the second book in the series you could easily read it as a stand alone if you did not read the first one. That said I recommend you read both as book one was just as great.
This book starts when Cami Chandler returns from France to take care of her dying grandmother and take over as head of the Chandler Inn and Winery.
Unfortunately shortly after her beloved Nonnie passes she learns that some investments made when she was ill by the “manager” were bad and finances are in trouble…doing some house cleaning and reorganizing she manages to maintain and keep up the standards her grandmother set. She finds out who are true friends and who are foes…without giving any spoilers, I will just say I loved this story and highly recommend it. I listened to this on audible and narration was great. I am sure just as good reading it.
I love the character of Rafe and his love for wine growing, Lettie and his grand daughter.
Keim delivers a bittersweet return home that leads to a sweet romance. Great characters and interesting relationships keep readers turning pages.
I recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre.
I really enjoyed reading Coming Home by Judith Keim. It is a story of loss, of life, of love, and of family. Ms. Keim has constructed a story with many emotions and tension. The characters are so well written that you will either love them or despise them. The story made me feel many different emotions, sadness, anger, joy and happiness. The story had many moments where I held my breath waiting to see what would happen.
I highly recommend this book as it’s a beautifully written story about a young woman who loves the vineyard and finds someone to love as she comes into her own as she navigates her professional and personal life. I always enjoy reading books by Judith Keim.

A Wonderful Family Saga!
“Cami thought of families. They weren’t necessarily made up of the people who were born into it. Some people left holes behind. Others filled them with new beginnings.”
Cami comes home from France to care for her ailing Nonnee, nursing a broken heart because Bernard refused to join her. Her journey is heart wrenching as she eventually must deal with burying her beloved grandmother; the depletion of her Nonnee’s carefully amassed investments; the opportunistic manager of her Inn; and renewed uncertainty when Bernard suddenly lands on her doorstep, expecting to be welcomed with open arms. With the support of new friends Jamison, Becca, and Drew; she weathers these storms and other challenges, and prevails; just as Nonnee knew she could.
Keim’s characters are endearing and sympathetic. Their stories, as they intertwine to weave the fabric of Chandler Hill are captivating. Even while you know how it ultimately must end, you are drawn in until the very last page. I’m glad to have gotten to know the residents of this small vineyard community, and am looking forward to reading of their further adventures.
A great read!

He loves grape growing and winemaking as much as she does and isn’t looking for anything beyond friendship.

My Review
I read this book a few weeks ago but our internet was out so I could not post my review. Then I forgot I was not able to post my review so this one is a little late. I am so sorry.
Coming Home is the second book in the Chandler Hill Inn Series, I read book one a few mo ago and when I saw book two on netgalley I had to request. Much to my delight I got it. Once I started this book I couldn’t stop. Thank goodness I had no plans because I finished this book in one day. I can’t say enough good things about this emotional hearwarming
story. There are so many storylines in this book, but the author puts them together so perfect. The characters are all so well developed and most are very likeable. I highly recommend it and I am soooo looking forward to reading another book by this author and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Many thanks to the publisher , author , and netgalley for a ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Coming Home (Chandler Hill Inn Series Book 2)
Turning Sorrow Into Happiness
The saga of The Chandler Hill Inn and Vineyards continues in this excellent story. This is a continuation of the story that began in book 1 and will conclude in book 3. But, it does stand alone very well. There is every emotion under the sun in this book. It is a long enough book that the author could include all the details to make the reader fully enjoy the book. The author paints such a wonderful word picture, I could even hear the sea birds. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
What happens when the man you thought loved you, callously rejects you via email? Then, what happens when that man shows up unannounced at your front door just as you are setting the table for a ‘friend’… a male friend who has become more than a friend, but they just don’t know it yet? That ‘friend’ is Drew and the attraction is mutual and the ex senses the threat of competition.
Bernard broke up with Cami via email telling her she was just a summer fling. Now he’s at her front door and wants her back. Ahhhh, but Cami sees through him. She saw his true colors when he tossed her aside so easily and so cruelly. Just what is Bernard’s game plan? Did he really have a change of heart? Did he really want Cami or was it her inheritance he wanted, Chandler Hill, the home her Nonnee left her?
Oh, and what is it they say about a woman scorned? Hmmmm, well wait till you see when it’s a man scorned
And who is Lulu to Cami? Just why do they look so much alike?
OBSERVATIONS:
… We don’t find out what happened with Bernard and Vanessa after the fire. They just dropped off the scene. Honestly, I wanted to see both of them reap what they sowed.
… I felt bad for Cami. She never got to meet her father. He knew about her but stayed away. Did he ever try to see her from afar? Did he harbor any regrets? Was that why he was on his way to Chandler Hill? Just what was his story? I sensed unrequited love, especially when we saw how he read that letter from Cami’s mother over and over till the edges were worn thin over the years.
I really liked Camilla Chandler. She showed such grace and strength as she endured the death of her Nonnee and took on the job of running the Chandler Hill Inn & Winery. Even though many events happened that could have made her bitter, hateful or wanting revenge her grace and kindness she learned from her grandmother, Nonnee showed through and only strengthened her character.
This is an amazing story of kindness, faith, family, and love. I really enjoyed the different ways family were presented in the story. I also enjoyed the romance between Cami and Drew and did not think Drew would care about Cami. I also liked the friendships Cami made with women who worked with her. Cami’s heart like Nonnee’s heart was full of love for everyone. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and to return to the Chandler Inn & Winery. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
The second book in the Chandler Hill Inn series a well written story that held my interest until the end. This is Camilla “Cami” Chandler and Drew Farley’s story there are so many twists to this story. I want to read the next book in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
