Excellent characters and humorous episodes on female sibling rivalry…
A story of five sisters that struggle with their lives after being abandoned by their father and after the death of their mother early in their lives I enjoyed the characters in this book and found them well developed. A very different and interesting plot.
I expected to enjoy interactions with siblings and all I found was sex and catfights. I thought maybe meeting the spirit of their mother would be interesting but I got halfway through the book and it was still more of the same, so I just gave up.
A good story line that pulls you in and captivates you. Strong characters that add element to the story, family relationships that are touching and realistic and a good read for your summer months.

This story is about several generations of a family in a small town. The different factions don’t get along. The main story involves 5 sisters who are all very different and have all come home for a wedding. The drama is intense and believable. Nothing is easy in this family and the small-town atmosphere does not help at all. The entire book is put together well. It ends with a smooth lead into the next book. I loved the story and I am sure that I will read it again. I received this ARC book for free and this is my honest opinion.
When Brenna walks out of her office, and in on husband Toby with her assistant, she finds a bit of passion again- mostly directed at trashing the phone and work station of the tramp, still ….
Going to her hometown for a family wedding is a good chance to look back, and to think about how she might want to move forward.
Sister stuff is never easy, and sorting the disaster their biological parents left behind fell on their elder sister, a young pregnant mom.
Fighting through the kid stuff to the sister bond, and joining against a common problem leaves much hurt and a lot of growth.
Intense finding yourself and family/ psychological drama

easy, feel good read.
It took me a bit to really get invested in this book. It was very easy for me to connect with Brenna’s feeling of being the ‘odd man out’, so I was quite offended by the treatment she received from her sisters in the beginning. As they all started to crack open their defensive shells and let us get to know them better, it was easier for me to love all of them. I adored seeing the way these sisters ‘grew up’ around each other, ‘cause they started the book being very childish. I’m also very interested in seeing what comes next because while it gives us a ‘happy for now’ ending, it’s also a bit of a cliff-hanger.
This was a seriously well written book. It is lengthy but it totally works. There is so much family here. It’s amazing how we got so many perspectives- even beyond the sisters – through only two of the sisters’ points of view. There was a lot of growing and learning in this book and a touch of romance. I’m excited to see what happens in the next book!

I really enjoyed this book. May read the sequels.
Sisters have relationships like no other and the author captured that perfectly. Definitely enjoyed this book!
I liked this book because it reminds us that families are not perfect. But, it shows us that it is important to accept flaws because we all have them.
LOOKING FORWARD TO READING MORE FROM THIS AUTHOR
Loved the book and the relationship between the sisters! Could not put it down.
easy read but interesting
I really enjoyed the family dynamics. Especially those of a dysfunctional one but I liked the that in the end the love for each other prevailed.
Brenna is back in forest Hill. She left her hometown fifteen years ago running from all her family drama. Now she is back after her husband cheated on her and she lost her job as a lawyer. Can she rebuild a relationship with her three sisters an de finally find happiness and love. An intense story about love, friendship, family and sisterhood.
I received a digital copy of this book from Hidden Gems and this is my voluntary review. This was a very well written book and the characters were well defined. I feel like when an author writes about family situations they either do a superb job or they do a terrible job of it, there’s no in between. Holly Kerr did a superb job. I recommend this book and I look forward to reading more from Ms. Kerr. Enjoy!
Loved this book. Sisters, mothers, lovers. Heartbreaking, tearjerker but oh so much from real life. Great characters. Cannot wait to read more from this author

I absolutely fell in love with the Skatt Sisters. This is the first book I’ve read by Holly Kerr and I’m hooked! I love Kerr’s writing and storytelling. This is a wonderful story of sisters fighting through their issues and finding a way to work through their challenges together. I can’t wait to read the next story to see what else happens as the sisters deal with a huge loss.
