Emily Vargas has been taken captive. As part of his conditioning methods, her captor refuses to speak to her, knowing how much she craves human contact. He’s far too beautiful to be a monster. Combined with his lack of violence toward her, this has her walking a fine line at the edge of sanity. Told in the first person from Emily’s perspective, Comfort Food is a tale of erotic surrender that … explores what happens when all expectations of pleasure and pain are turned upside down, as whips become comfort and chicken soup becomes punishment.

Comfort Food was a little disturbing. Sometimes hard to read but also hard to put down,
This book is amazing! I will never look at chicken noodle soup the same way again. I love the darkness and suspense. There were certainly parts I didn’t see coming at all. Not for the faint of heart or those who don’t like the M/s situations. Kitty definitely knows how to embark her readers on a dark adventure and completely consume them. I never …
This was such an odd book, lol.
It wasn’t the usual kidnap/Stokholm Syndrom story.
Yes, it had some BDSM and sex scenes in it, and yes she was held against her will but somehow, it wasn’t all that dark or erotic.
I can’t make up my mind if it was more thought-provoking or just a little slow and uneventful.

Amazing read and different than any other dark romance I’ve read so far!
Loved it!
There are times I enjoy the dark. Comfort food fit the bill. Though the story of capture is not new, this was a fresh take on it. Character building was well done. I have re-read this book several times, and it kept my interest each time. If you like dark, I would recommend this.
I loved this author. I read the whole series and loved them all.
This story gets told from Emily Vargas’s perspective. She gets kidnapped and held captive by a man, who turns her world upside down.
There is some hot, kinky sex. But it was less sex in this book than I thought there would be. And it was not as dark as everybody said. It is a well written story and even though it was fiction, it was so …

I’m at a loss of how to review this book. Is it wrong to be both disturbed and turned on at the same time, because that’s what this book did to me!
Emily Vargas is a self-help author and motivational speaker. While on tour, she is kidnapped and turned into a true slave. As time passes, Emily begins to lose herself to ‘Master’. This is a story of …
2 words: Stockholm Syndrome
A woman is kidnapped, held against her will and mentally broken over time. The book ended pretty much the only way it could. It was an interesting read which is why I gave it 4 stars but I was uncomfortable with the subject matter.
Strange book
This is one of the first dark romances that I had read and I would recommend it to anyone interested in dark reads.
