Come Together is the third and final installment of The Cityscape Series after Come Undone and Come Alive.
With a single decision, Olivia Germaine’s fantasy has become a reality. Now she is faced with two commitments: one she must make and one she must break. But in order to accept a love she never thought possible, Olivia will have to let go of the broken past that defines her – and of … broken past that defines her – and of deeply-rooted fears that could ruin everything.
Everything is what David Dylan wants to give her, and it’s what he wants in return. He must prove to Olivia that despite his playboy ways, he’s worth leaving behind the stable future her husband can offer her. David is a man who always gets what he wants…but this time he may be fighting for something unattainable.
Can Olivia escape the past that threatens to consume her? And can David break through to her before it does?

If you have been following me reading this series , you know how much I freaking loved each book..they have all been AMAZING .
I held my breath sooo many times while reading…I had to stop and gasp for air..lmao
Truthfully…I was worried of how the outcome was going to be…. and without giving anything away, I ended up being very happy . I was really really…REALLY worried I was not gonna like it… but with a big sighhhh… I’m one HAPPY reader!!! LOL
If I could give this trilogy 5 million stars I would. This is one of the best book series that I have ever read. David and Olivia’s love story is one that will stay with me a while, it is a beautiful story all through the 3 books. The CityScape Affair Series.
Olivia and David are both trying to navigate each other and there new lives together. Olivia finally broke away from Bill who was holding her back and now is living with David. But they both now have alot of ups and downs to get through and they’ve had to overcome a hell of alot. They have had alot of doubters in there journey that keep trying to get in the way but they are proving love is all they need.
There’s just one problem, can Olivia overcome her conditioned mind and let David in before she loses him for good. Olivia has been through so much and is emotionally and physically drained and David has always been by her side no matter how many times she pushes him away. I was rooting for them both right the way through.
I really enjoyed reading this book, this trilogy. I thought that the story line flowed beautifully and I couldn’t put this book down. I love the characters and after following there story I felt like I totally new them both. I love how this author has made characters that the reader can feel totally connected to and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I really like this author writing style and I’ve enjoyed these books immensely. I would definitely recommend reading them in order so you can follow David and Olivia’s journey through another life.
Book #1 Come Undone
Book #2 Come Alive
Book #3 Come Together
The love that two people share is sometimes so strong they feel it inside there soul and they can’t breathe without each other and it makes you feel like you can do anything
Bill is a lawyer who practices law based on the right and wrong theory leaving no room for the grey area. His personal life is met by the same standards. Bill doesn’t make room or allow for emotions to rule choices. He bases his reasoning on clear direct answers. In his marriage, Olivia’s fears plays an interesting factor in how he makes decisions. He views her fears as her setbacks and something she must address on her own. While Olivia views her fears as a sign that the person she’s with is not right for her. The fears stem from a place of doubt for a reason and should be expressed and dealt with together. As Olivia factors in her fears with how Bill makes decisions she learns to stand up for herself in ways she never did before.
Overall:
Bill’s character had an analytical perspective which formulated well as a lawyer. Jessica illustrated his logical sense with Olivia so convincingly. At times I almost forget I’m reading a fictional character because the way she writes her characters is so similar to real life individuals. It’s easy to connect and identify certain characteristics.
You know what I think about as I read the sexual nature of David’s character? I think how obvious that it’s written by a female writer because if a man wrote those sex scenes they certainly would be lacking in the angst department. Men have a tendency to focus on the physical need while women focus on the emotional need. This right here is what separates the two types of writers. Jessica creates these book boyfriends just for us women. It’s no wonder my list of book boyfriends is extremely long. When a woman writes a male character devoting his attention to a woman’s emotional side it is by the sexiest thing in the world.
It was not the ending I was expecting, yet it was in true Jessica fashion. She likes to create realistic situations with her unconventional choices. It’s so easy to get invested in these characters and want a different outcome after all Jessica put a lot of time and effort in developing her characters. David and Olivia worked in this story and it ended the way Jessica intended it to. This is what separates her from all the other authors. She’s not afraid to go against the grain by offering another form of unconditional love.
This is the final book in this trilogy and it packs just as much of a punch as the other two! What will be the final decision and how will life change afterwards?
An amazing conclusion to a trilogy that I loved. This was an unconventional love story that shows you sometimes you find your person later in life when you already thought you found who you were looking for.
I loved reading Olivia’s story and how she came to be who she was meant to be. And I loved David, that stubborn and thoughtful man. Olivia and David fit perfectly together.
I listened to the audiobook version of this story. Andi Arndt slayed this story and narrating over 25 hours by yourself is not an easy task. She kept me engaged in the story and was perfection.
Damn did I fall in love with this book series!!
I actually started reading this book on a whip. I saw a hot quote on Facebook and as I’ve had the series on my tbr for so long now I thought why not read it now. And damn, I did not get disappointed. I didn’t know what I would get into when starting the Cityscape Affair Series and damn did I fall hard! Olivia and David were just everything! I loved their story.
This series is definitely something else! I never expected to love it so much and go through so many emotions – give me all the FEELS!!! It’s something fresh and unique and definitely one of the most emotional and hottest books I’ve read this year, if not ever! It’s something you just have to experience for yourself.
The Cityscape Affair is a 3-book series (900+ pages) by Jessica Hawkins. It tells the story of Olivia who is married to Bill when she finds her soulmate, David.
Readers pretty much have to accept going in that this book is all about adultery. I was a little bit leery about that at first. I never really got over my discomfort with the topic but I do think Jessica Hawkins handles it well. She shows how Olivia and Bill’s marriage slowly unravels and they grow apart. The first book is just as much about Olivia and Bill as it is about Olivia and David.
Readers also have to buy into instalove. It was literally David’s and Olivia’s eyes meet across a crowded room and that was it. The intensity of their feelings, especially David’s dogged pursuit of the married Olivia, didn’t really resonate with me at first.
I really struggled with Olivia, the heroine, off and on. There were times that she waffled, going back and forth between Bill and David which was annoying. She didn’t always take responsibility for her actions and own up to having the affair that was the final nail in the coffin of her marriage to Bill. Oliva also came off at times as being overly self-centered.
That being said, Jessica Hawkins weaves a really compelling story. I was pretty engrossed in the story even though the whole topic of adultery made me uncomfortable.
Do you believe on Soulmate? I DO.
Cityscape Affair was the one story that had kept me thinking. Forbidden, Taboo all you named it. The title had really pushed me to embark with the sensitive issues. Im not gonna lie that I wasnt comfortable with it.
Olivia was a fragile soul and at times, I cant stand her. I grew my fondness with Olivia because of her genuine soul to find love and be happy again. Was she hard to love? Yes, I struggle to see the fallen and the pain of being hurt. I didnt condone what happened was right. Olivia and David had clawed my heart into pieces. Its gonna get worse before it get better.
David Dylan, my man.. You are the perfect sexy boyfriend. Olivia is a lucky woman to have your love. You had pushed through what true love is. It never an easy subject! Cityscape affair was an intimate love with passion. It stirred my thought that love will happen when you meet your soulmate. David and Olivia didnt go down without a fight. Its their love and strong bond to keep it going.
The Ending was bittersweet.. after all their love is so beautiful
This series… Jessica Hawkins put my limit to the test with this series. Cheating is a big hard limit for me in books. But she write it so full of heart, thought provoking, and lots of on point for women, I can’t help to fall in love with her characters.
Finally together, doesn’t mean it’s an easy open road for Olivia and David. He’s still that possesive and sometime over bearing man if she let him. She’s still hide in her fortress heart if he let her. Both of them need more time to adjust. The steamy scenes are getting more steamy, sometime rough and hard but definitly mind-blowing. David definitly a perfect book husband.. Rawwr!
And then there’s old issue for Olivia even when with David. Children. Would David still want her, want them together when she tell him she doesn’t have children?
Roller coaster ride is child plays with this series.
The heavy angst right from the start is crazy.
The steamy scenes are sizzling.
The main charachter? David Dylan is the epitome of perfect book husband and Olivia, I understand her.
The whole plotand Twist? Perfectly on point
This finale book is perfect ending to an amazing thought provoking series!
Gripping, explosive and passionate, the title says it all.
This is book 3 in the Cityscape Series and the conclusion of this complicated, thought provoking triangulated situation between Olivia, Bill and David.
Passionate, emotional and frustrating I loved it. I loved the characters for being controversial, imperfect and not always likable.
Isn’t that how real love is?
Read this series and find out!
Alrighty then. Now we get to the real heart of the matter. This is the third and final book in this series.
You need to read all these books and in order. David and Olivia’s story has been tense and emotional. There has been angst, drama, heat and turmoil. As the story draws to a close, this couple still has so many obstacles to overcome. I truly felt this couple was meant to be. I am choosing to post a truthful review.
This is the last book of the series. We learn a lot about Olivia’s past and why she is the way she is. David, the playboy, shows that he is protective and loving. What happens between Olivia, Bill, and David? Who can give her the love and support that she needs? This is a great series!!
So, I’ll start off by saying that I absolutely loved the whole series. If you love the angst and the chest pumping action, you’ll love this. Come Undone and Come Alive were fabulous. Come Together, however, didn’t deliver as highly as the first two did. The writing was still fabulous so that did not suffer. However, the same fight they seemed to have throughout the book got old fast. Plus, the endearment of “baby”. UGH, that’s the worst to me. I don’t mind babe but baby was said one too many times for my liking. I do feel like you need to finish the series if you commit to book #1 and book #2 though.
It’s really hard to write a review without giving away the ending so you probably should just read it 😉

SO, I’m actually quite happy how the book ended because not everyone needs kids to be happy. As someone who is struggling on having children myself, it is nice to not always have a pregnancy be the “happy ending”. It was refreshing to say the least. Also, Olivia annoyed the crap out of me most of this book. So did David a little bit but I still think this should be read if you made it this far. However, when they weren’t annoying me, they made the pages burn hot with their steaminess.
What a perfect conclusion to this emotional, and sizzling romance! I couldn’t wait to find out what happened after the way book #2 ended and I was not disappointed! This wasn’t an easy journey for anyone. Olivia had to learn to trust in a man who was the biggest risk to her heart and her sanity while leaving her safe world behind. It could cost her everything, including family and friends. David had to fight to get Olivia to give him her everything, while proving he was more than his past. But when a relationship starts the way theirs did, will they be able to build something strong to last forever? I loved the way their relationship stumbled and grew. The way that Olivia blossomed and came alive was so beautiful. David was so thoughtful, protective, deliciously dominant, and totally swoony! I love how Ms Hawkins didn’t cut corners with their story, but allowed us to feel every thought, and emotion that Olivia, and David experienced. Her writing is so beautiful, and moving, and the banter and levity between her characters makes them feel genuine and easy to relate to. I wasn’t sure I would, but I loved everything about this captivating and sizzling story of hope, second chances, forgiveness and unconditional love.
Jessica Hawkins always delivers the perfect finale in a love triangle and certainly puts her readers through the emotional wringer during the journey. David / Bill and Olivia’s story certainly had its ups and downs and had me turning the pages at a rapid rate… I needed answers. Stat!
This series consumed me, it was hot, emotional, full of angst, heartbreak, tears, tantrums. If ever I want a book that will challenge me emotionally, this author is it for me!
Come Together- words can not express how sublime this ending is to the series, how has it taken me so long to finish this series, goodness gracious I just cant put the words on the page, I may be broken and my life may be stuck in this story forever, its that amazing. What a great series, you need to grab the essentials and sink your teeth into this and forget the world, what a compelling trilogy that will suck you so deeply you may never get out.
What an ending to an incredible series, It was kind of bittersweet but I loved it.
